It's not too loud, great service! And affordable rates! We prefer to drive here vs kona for these reasons. Not to many people (NOT CROWDED) , you don't have to yell to talk to your team, is really awesome!Parking: Is inside the kilulea military camp, parking is right next to it!Kid-friendliness: Is a very family friendly establishment, they have auto bumpers for the keiki

Can’t say anything about the food but trying to call to reserve a lane was impossible. My husband went in and reserved a lane for 7pm. Said we had priority since we were guests at KMC. We walked in, no reservation. Was told we could come at 8pm. We did 7 because of our toddler. So no bowling for our oldest who has been looking forward to it all day.

Inside a bowling alley and open late.. this place is a hidden gem for sure! Spent 6 nights in the area and this was the best dinners for sure!! Mushroom bacon cheeseburger for $8 and it was ready faster than I could go to the bathroom. Chicken sandwiches, HOT fries and onion rings!! The crew behind the counter was amazing.. I'm sure we will be back!

it was a very interesting place to visit, especially as someone who is not associated with the military. the food was okay, but it was fairly cheap so no complaints. if you explore the place then youll find an arcade, and a room with a fireplace in it. around the other side of the camp is a little grocery mart which is also pretty cool. everyone there was friendly and the whole place was pretty neat.

Came to camp near the volcano and went here for some food and to bowl. Didn't get to bowl as it's reserved on Saturdays, but we sat and played some board games and had some food.It was great, food was cheap and better than expected.. grilled chicken burger was my favorite

This was an amazing deal for reasonable quality food and was a very pleasant surprise! We were inside the National Volcanic Park, late into the night and starving, and thought we were totally out of luck. Found this on Google maps and it completely saved our stomachs and our night. It's on the military camp property, and was packed with people bowling, playing pool, and in general having a fun family night out.Kid-friendliness: Absolutely bring the family!

Yes, this is a a bowling alley grill but they’ve got some good choices (garlic fries were legit) and their prices are very reasonable. This is a good alternative to Volcano House if they’re packed or if you want to save some money. It’s open to the public so no worries there - you have to show Military ID to stay in their lodging but most other services, including the restaurant and nearby well-stocked general store are open to anyone (I asked one of the employees at the store). Just drive past the visitor center for a mile or so and you’ll see KMC on your right. Turn in at the second entrance and you’ll see the bowling alley which is a narrow, hangar-shaped building featuring six lanes and the snack bar. This building is connected to a lounge area that has pool tables, arcade games, etc. No line in the late afternoon on a Saturday and the service was prompt. No complaints from me.

Well that was a pleasant surprise. First of all you have to enter this place by driving into the military camp on the volcano national Park. Bit once you find it. It's kitch. Butt honest solid cafe food. 2 thoroughly excellent burgers. Fries, 12 very good hot wings and a pizza for 42 dollars? What's not to like.

The bowling is fun and the service attendants are hard working and fast but the food, well a bit less than desirable but not entirely that bad (you have to remember where you are at). I ordered the pastrami melt and it was not good. The meat was tough and old but my wife's tuna sandwich was surprisingly good. The fries (crinkle style) were cooked well. Just make sensible choices!

We love going here! We live on the Big Island and we go up here for a stay-cation. It's nice and cool so you can feel like you are getting into the holiday spirit during Christmas and Thanksgiving.Kid-friendliness: Kids love bowling! And they have a huge gaming room as well.

It’s a very unexpected place located in a national park. This is a recreation space within the KMC a family vacation getaway for military personnel, but the bowling alley and food is available to public. Food was decent, it’s good crispy fried food. Hot wings was a bit salty, but the rest of the food was perfectly fried. I think a lot of it is frozen but not bad for a remote town. Really hits the spot after a long days hike.

Decent food and one of the few places open late after a long day at the park! Very reasonable prices too. Just be aware you enter this area from inside the park— the directions tried to lead us here from outside the park but that way was gated off. Just look at your map and find your way in manually:) we were worried about needing military ID but it’s not necessary here!

We went for a birthday party. They only had one gentleman working and our party took up 3 lanes. He did a good job working both the bowling and the restaurant part for one person, how ever we spent a lot of time waiting to order food and to get our bowling shoes. They did comp us some time on the tail end which was nice. The kids definitely had a great time!!

The food is good for what you would expect from a bowling alley. (Not mind blowing but I liked it) The prices though are the best I've seen on the island, would come again.
