This is NOT a formal stop. These fields are just off the side of Ohiki Rd. Beautiful fields of green Taro surrounded by the mountains. No bathrooms, no services.

The taro fields in Hanalei River valley are a reminder that many residents of Kauai still make their living from working the land. Taro roots are used to make poi, a favorite native food. They are a brilliant green, and each field is perfectly maintained. The fields are a beautiful sight in a valley that is backed by steep cliffs and mountains.
