Great wine selection. Offers many wines, well stored, that are 5+ years old. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Not pushy at all.Check out their specials (they are great wines for a very reasonable price!!)Also they have the coolest chilling service (pun intended). Put your bottle for 3-7 minutes for cool, cold, or an ice cold bottle!!

Daniel Braun, a former sommelier for Four Season, has a great selection. He understands cost conscious choices and also well selected high end choices. I don't know about you, but if it is a special occasion I want something different from the selection at Safeway, even the top shelf.Daniel is also all about customer service, I wanted a couple cases from Israel and he was able to pull it off, (though the first attempt failed since the cases were passing through California a few days before passover). The staff have been well trained and know the selections, give them a chance to help you make your pick. The store, to put it mildly, is densely packed and it is easy to miss stuff.They also do special events and tastings.If you are visiting the North shore of Kauai, this is a fun stop.

I placed an order at night... the following morning, they emailed me saying that my order was ready to pick up at my convenience. That was really nice to receive the email confirmation! Great little wine shop if you need to grab a few bottles. The owner was attentive and helpful with suggestions on a few different things. She was great about providing a few different price points as well. Reading some of the other reviews, I have to wonder who is going to a tourist area on a damn island and expecting to find a bargain. Pricing was well *under* what I would have expected, given the location.

A fantastic little wine shop on the north shore of Kauai. Conveniently located in the Princeville shopping center, the Princeville Wine Market has a great selection of wine and specialty food items. Daniel - the owner is incredibly knowledgeable and will help you find the right bottle for your budget and your taste. I also loved the selection of cheeses and Hawaiian food products that are available. I especially enjoyed the selection of local cheeses and excellent prosciutto that we picked up. Definitely make time to stop in while you are on the north shore!!

As for many others who shop here, I live on the mainland and so I'm not a regular customer. Nevertheless based on my experiences at the Princeville Wine Market in mid-April 2017 I've come to believe that the owner has very high standards in terms of wine offerings and also regarding the condition of the wines he carries. His staff also are very knowledgeable and personable. In my opinion this business is a gem for those who are willing to pay a higher markup than what the chain stores charge in exchange for getting wines that are often unique and usually have more "character", sometimes much more; and also for those who want to try something new and can benefit from the guidance which this business provides.

Fantastic selections. Elevated markups, but hey... they know what they've got, they know where you are, and they know you'll buy it. In the end, what's a little extra money for being able to get the perfect pairing for a meal or beach. I know I'll keep coming here, as long as they're there.

Great place with good selection; They carry wine, beer, and other liquor. The man working made good recommendations and was very friendly. They also have a high speed chilling device to cool your wine quickly before you leave the store (3-5 mins).

Great selection and knowledgeable staff. If you’re looking for something that is a little unique, they’ll have it, or can at least order it for you and it’ll take a day or two, but it’ll be there!There is also liquor as well so it’s not just wine, again harder stuff to find.

Princeville Wine Market is a lovely shop that's a joy to visit. Daniel, the owner and a sommelier, completely sidesteps the typical limitations of the cute little wine shop with a masterfully curated selection of wines. Most wine stores, especially of this size, are often stocked with wines by unknowledgeable managers swayed by wine reps and considerations other than the quality of the wine. Large wine stores can feel overwhelming sometimes especially when you are not sure about what you want. Daniel does the hard work for you, while at the same time giving you only great choices! You can't go wrong as he maximizes the real estate on his shelves by eliminating mediocre wines. Who wants to bring a underwhelming bottle of wine to dinner? Instead, he's got a terrific selection not only in quality but in range. This is the place to come if you want that "wow!" bottle of wine that impresses. Personally, I go straight for his delicious Burgundy wines! But, I love how Daniel doesn't always steer you to the more expensive bottles. Depending on your taste or what you might be eating with the wine, he sometimes suggests surprisingly affordable wines that still taste great. Also, you can always learn something about wine from Daniel, who's super chill and loves to talk about wine in a non-pretentious way. You can't get any of this at Foodland!
