Despite the recent poor reviews we decided to give it a shot after some locals gave favorable reviews. We visited one evening and the place was hopping. Many locals were dropping in, picking up dinner on the way home. We enjoyed our 4 different entrees, including pizza, fried chicken, and the chili chicken. Our food was fresh, the orders were accurate and the staff was extremely friendly. Good grindz!

Saw this place well rated and claims of amazing pizza. Google Maps said they were open until 7:30 on Sunday and I even checked their main website to be sure give it’s been hit and miss on accuracy on Kauai. I was going to order online and have it ready as that option was still active. Glad I didn’t. We drove 45 minutes on Sunday night to get here. Arrived at 5:15. Closed. Sign on the door said helpwanted and kitchen closed on Sundays. The whole place was closed. I get where Google Maps may be difficult to date your hours, but your main site? And it seemed I could have ordered online whole while you were closed? At least put some care into perspective customers to not waste their time and money. Update your hours accurately.

I think some of these reviewers of this place are high! This place is not a place to get food! If you look at the kitchen you would not order. I asked for the build a burger and added pickles and thousand island on both buns. Well guess what, no pickles or thousand island. I think the patty was boiled then stored in a fridge. It didnt have any browning on it. Dry as a bone. My wife got the grilled cheese. It was bland and dry with 1 slice of American cheese. How can you mess up on 2 basic sandwiches? I know how, don't care. Don't waste your time, go to Foodland!

Hawaii revealed really blew it this time! The hamburger was the driest thin piece of beef served on a white soggy bun. We came specifically for the burgers per the rating on HR however they must have changed chefs and personnel since their visit . More grease on the onion rings. They could have cared less for our business. I wouldn’t waste your time at the #northshoregeneralstore

Ordered cheeseburger and fries. Received cheese fries and fries. Reciept said Buffalo chicken sandwich and lemonade. Took forever to get food. 2 stars cause the fries were decent.

Had to try this place because it looked so fun and funky, and locals were lunching here but not the tourists. My partner went with the safe choice of Fish & Chips, which was excellent. Fries are nice and crispy. I ordered the Kim-Chee Teriyaki Burger. A 5 oz beef patty is advertised but I think it was significantly bigger than that! The burger is a mess with all the ingredients, but a delicious mess. Ordered some onion rings, too, which were plentiful, crispy, and tasty. Limited seating outside.

Best loco Moco I've ever had. Even after some good ones this is still the best. Best part is flavor, they season the meat and have a flavorful gravy. The mac salad made with spaghetti noodles is a unique twist, but still great.Awesome pizza- best on the North Shore. The Katsu Chicken is the bomb. Pretty much equal to Da Kitchen on Maui as my favorites.Eaten other things here too, all amazing. Favorite plate lunch place on the North Shore, and tied with Mark's place in Lihue as my favorite on the island. So good!

Typical general store slash gas station. Get your gas, food, drinks, souvenirs and hit the road again. Except this one has no restrooms but there are some across the parking lot in the stip mall.

One of my kids requested fish and chips for lunch the day we were in the princeville area. Wife wanted something "gourmet" for lunch. Well, this is a gas station with a kitchen. Wife was not so thrilled with the gourmet-ness of the place, but that's not what it is.The fish and chips was good (happy kid) and there were more fries than he could eat. Fish was beer battered ono, white and flaky. I had a plate lunch for $12, and the other kids had burgers. Wife held out for gourmet dinner later. Honestly, for the cost (about $50 to feed 6 of us) it was inexpensive for Hawaii. Portions were plentiful, and the food was good. We left full after eating on the outdoor bar and had leftovers. I can't speak for the pizza, we didn't try it, but the burgers fish, and plate lunch were spot on for what we needed that day. If they had anything "gourmet" (aka happy wife) would do 5 stars. Fill up with gas there as well! Hard to find gas going north of this place.

Delicious food and friendly staff. Seems like a random place to eat but so glad we tried it! Way better than the eateries around it, surprisingly delicious food, and friendly staff. I had a fig and prosciutto pizza which was phenomenal and my boyfriend had the chicken parm sandwich, also delicious.

This little hole-in-the-wall place was so unexpectedly good!! We’ve been living on the island for about 6 months and this is probably some of the best food we’ve had so far. We got the western burger and my bf got a calzone with pepperoni, mushrooms & olives. Both were so well-made, hot and fresh. The cook called us over to show us my epic burger he made while adding the Sweet Baby Rays sauce to my burger! He was so funny & personable. Highly recommend this place!

Great little snack shop with a wonderful breakfast burrito that was hot and ready to go! Tasty tomatillo sauce to spice it up. I was able to get a egg and potato one without meat! The ladies were friendly and there is a nice area outside to sit and people watch all the traffic going in and out of the grocery store across the parking lot. Great place to grab a quick bite and get going to your next Hawaiian destination!

I stopped in for a chili pepper chicken plate lunch. The sauce on it was fire, and the chicken was cooked well. It was a nice sized portion, and fantastic, peppery mac salad. The rice was a bit chewy - but that's the only critique. Service was friendly and helpful - and the rice was right!

The store is part of the gas station ⛽️ in Princeville, and you would not expect that they sell such great burgers. Somehow an odd but hip and very friendly atmosphere. We just loved it and been there three times during our stay at Princeville.

The chili pepper chicken was awesome. Seemed like fried not breaded boneless chicken thighs with soy sauce based sweet chili sauce. Not too salty just right. Rice was also just right. Definitely try this dish might have been one of the best on the island between here and Maui. Really, it was that good!(Veggie Supreme) pizza, as another reviewer said, would be good for the kids while still hot. They held my beer in the cooler, that I purchased there (unopened, no open containers allowed) while I waited for the food to be prepared.Too bad I forgot to pick it up when I got the food. Hope the kitchen, at least got to have it at the end of the shift! The cookies at the register were also awesome. Mac nut white chocolate chip and Mac nut with regular chocolate chips! I liked the white chocolate Mac best.

We usually ask the locals where they go for lunch and we're so glad we did. This was our first stop in Princeville and the food was great. Huge shoutout to Fina for being so wonderful. We ordered the fish-n-chips, chicken katsu, burgers, and chicken tenders. All the best onion rings and tartar sauce I've ever had in my life. It's located right in a plaza with a Foodland and Lapperts just steps away. Perfect to take back home or to the beach.

Came here because I saw a few people eating burger here, and they looked good. When trying to order the girl insisted everyone came there for the chicken tenders, and they were the best on the island. Well they were not good. As a matter of fact while I was starving I wound up throwing most of the food away. The chicken was dry, and tough. Probably cooked the free wild chickens there. The locals were all having burgers. I guess they try to feed the tourists what the locals actually don’t want

We spent too long on the beach and needed a quick dinner. Great and friendly service for two cheese pizzas and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised! Actually pretty darn delicious. Just look at that gooey cheese. 😍

Prices are good, employees are friendly. The burgers are good/average and the onion rings are homemade.

I love this place the staff is very kind and enjoyable to talk to. The food they serve is also amazing. I love the chili pepper chicken definitely my favorite. One time I order a burger and forgot my fires so the man who cooked it ran out the building chased me to give me my fries. My only request is to have a bottle of the chili pepper sauce

Our party of 7 visited Kauai for the first time towards the end of July. Our family wanted to enjoy a quieter island and all it had to offer. Shopped and ate mostly at local owned businesses. After conversing with several locals we had the pleasure of meeting, we found our way here. The kids went exploring while we stopped in. It's a modest gas station and general store in a shopping center in Princeville. The staff were incredible kind and patient as we checked out their menu. We asked the gentleman at the front what he recommended and ended up ordering the burger, Chili Pepper Chicken and Loco Moco. All three orders were fantastic, reminiscent of home cooked comfort food. The burger and fries were deliciously fresh. The Loco Moco was flavorful and tender. However, I have to give their Chili Pepper Chicken the top prize. It was outstanding! The sauce... oh so yummy. The chicken... crunchy, juicy and tender. And the scoop of mac salad was creamy and contrasted perfectly. We drove all over Kauai during our stay and ordered this dish at every local eatery we came across. I can honestly say this version of Chili Pepper Chicken is memorable. If you are in Kauai, it's worth the drive. Also, they sold local hot sauces that were excellent. Spicy and smooth. I liked the "Grown here, not flown here" aspect. Wished we had bought more to give as gifts.

Awesome burgers and good Ono fish and chips at a reasonable price. Fantastic customer service - the staff is just phenomenal! Skip the pizza, especially if you're used to great pizza from the mainland. It may be good pizza for the islands, perhaps the best, but it's nothing to write home about. Instead, enjoy the Ono and Wailua grass fed beef you can only experience on island. Great place for a quick bite.

Nice people and service but horrible pizza. I saw other reviews on the pizza and pictures therefore was expecting a bit more than store bought pizza crust. I can't say anything about the rest of the menu.

Calzones we're A+ glad I didn't let the location inside a gas station change my mind. We will be back this trip and on the list for next time. Our group ate pepperoni's calzone, chicken Parm calzone and BBQ chicken calzone and everyone loved their food.

We found this place during our honeymoon and let me tell ya, this place is the holy grail for people eating out while on vacation in princeville. Not only is there a wide variety of food but we found that everything we ate there was delicious, filling, and very affordable compared to other places around the island. The plates are very tasty, the pizza was awesome, but the crowning jewel was the Braddah’s burger. This thing knocked my socks clean off. Initially wasn’t sure what to expect but it was honestly top 3 burgers I’ve ever had, tons of flavor and incredibly rich and juicy. We were there for a week and went almost every single day. Not to mention the staff was always super friendly, patient, personable and had great recommendations. Can’t wait to go back!

Cute little store with a food counter in the back. The food was reasonably priced. My husband and I both got burgers and fries. We were one of their last orders of the night (we came in about 15 minutes before they closed) and they weren't rude at all about it. The food is made by order so it takes a little while. The burgers were huge and well worth the price.

I live on Kauai and have worked on the North Shore for over 30 years. The pizza is the best on the North Shore. Their breakfast burritos are delicious and come with salsa. I call my plate lunch in and they say 15 minutes but its more like 10 and is overloaded to say the least. And yeah, delicious again. You wonder why the locals go here for lunch and dinner. Ignore the negative stars. And ALL reasonably priced. Well done guys and gals! Mahalo.

We heard that had good pizza, but we were unable to order. We tried calling for over an hour, but they never answered. We then drove 40 min to order I person, only to find out they weren’t taking pizza orders until 3pm. I guess they were short staffed, which they explained was the reason they ignored the phone.I also saw them not serve someone that forgot their mask, even though they had an improvised face covering made from a shirt. However, their cook wasn’t wearing his mask properly. It was under his nose and barely covering his mouth. Very hypocritical. So, no pizza and bad service!

Excellent food at reasonable prices. They were swamped when we ordered with 12 pizzas to go. My food was late, and they knew it. Instead of making excuses and ignoring me... they were apologetic and threw in a couple cookies. I appreciated the gesture as I'm sure they were not excited when the dozen pizza order came in!
