O.M.G! This food was like heaven on my taste buds and in my tummy! I got the Ono fish wrap, which was super tasty and filling. The coleslaw they serve alongside it is *chef's kiss- amazing! It had a very nuanced flavor and I think maybe sesame oil?! It was phenomenal. The fresh fruit that comes with the meal was also delicious.I tried the ginger papaya smoothie which, again, was fabulous.My body was craving some delicious, healthy food and this place 1000% delivered! I might backtrack on my trip around the island just to go eat here again.A view of the ocean and their local farm from my outdoor table, and proximity to the scenic road are lovely, but even if the location wasn't fantastic, you should still go out of your way for this food.Don't miss it!Parking: 20+ spots

Best fruit smoothies I ever tasted - real fruit and no added sugar!Hardest working people - basically, 2 people working here: taking orders; preparing food and drinks; and cleaning the tables. We were there around 2-3PM. There was a line. Be patient with the order because we are on vacation.Beautiful area - it is a green and lush farm/garden surrounding.Kid-friendliness: Big area for little kids to run around

Short way from Hawai'i tropical bioreserve and tropical garden, this is a cool little place to stop by for snacks and has amazing views, the staff is very nice . We ordered an iced coffee, a smoothie and a hummus loaded wrap. The smoothie was very delicious and the hummus wrap was amazing as well. They have plenty of sitting area in the open. Amazing place to stop by for snacks or a meal.

Best shack so far! Delicious food and nice people, in the middle of the jungle. Amazing fresh juices. They also have a good choice of vegetarian plates. Loved it, we had a perfect lunch, much better that in many restaurants.

Probably some of the best meals I've had in Hawaii!! Ono wrap is great and the hotdog (topped with sprouts, onion and cucumber) is my absolute fav. Menu options are pretty limited and they do run out, so come early! Everything is super fresh and satisfying, and the entrees come with a selection of fruit which I LOVE. I've also gotten different fruits every time I've visited which is fun and a great way for me to try new ones. You can also get whole coconuts.The shakes and smoothies are to die for. Really really recommend any shake with mac nut ice cream in it, it's so delicious.It's a very small location, but has lots of outdoor seating and is surrounded by nice flat ground if you want to picnic it!Vegetarian options: Hummus and veggie wraps, as well as smoothies and vegan shakes.

Good solid food. Nothing fancy.We had hot dogs, which were “just ok” according to the three (of 5 who were in our party). The two wraps, one with avocado, one with Ono fish, were tasty, but needed salt/seasoning. The lemonade with honey tasted of honey,but no lemon to speak of, the smoothies were tasty, but mainly tasted of banana (my “papaya” smoothy had no discernible papaya flavor).The people were nice, as we saw one of the ubiquitous gecko’s waiting outside the bathroom.Beautiful surroundings.

I got the Mango Tango. It was a fresh tasting fruit smoothie with expected flavors, good option when hot or wanting to head down to the botanical gardens, the beach nearby, or just for driving around. Good view, fast service. If you're in the area it's worth stopping, but not incredible that you should go out of your way.Vegetarian options: Lots of fruit

We stumbled upon What’s Shakin by taking an impromptu detour down the scenic highway and what a treat the scenic route is on its own. Then we came across its Shakin and stopped in because I wanted to try the chilled coconut. The water in the chilled coconut is amazing!! Better than any coconut water I’ve had in a package-ever! We didn’t try any of the other shakes or treats, because we had a big breakfast, but the entire menu looked incredible based on what other patrons selected and commented on while we were there. This is one of the quintessential Hawai’i spots you look for when you think of coming here for vacation.

Stopped by for a smoothie on our way to Waimea and we both ended up getting the cheese tamales. The smoothies were so tasty and thick and the food was delicious. Loved the location which was beautiful and chill. You will feel good after eating here not bogged down and greasy.

In a country obsessed with sugar and processed foods, this spot is an oasis. Serving food made with produce grown on their farm, they make tasty and healthy meals. The service is top notch as well. Make sure to grab a chilled coconut if you’re thirsty.

Found this place while driving around and decided to stop for coffee. Really coolPlaces. The coffee was really good (extra points for the coffee ice cubes 🙌🏻) we didn’t have any smoothies but they looked really good. Very friendly service and the location is amazing!! My husband and I decided to take our VW Bug out for a cruise to the Hamakua side. We didn't go very far because of the roadside construction that had us stopping & slowing down😔 and it was on a Saturday. So, we stopped at the gas station first and I took some pictures of a BIG Hibiscus bush that had some little white Pikake (Jasmine) flowers. Then, I found a place for us to eat at it's located on the 4 mile scenic drive, GREAT location 🤙🏽 The place doesn't offer their whole online menu, only what's on their in-person menu. My husband ordered a Turkey roll-up (wrap) and I had the Ono fish wrap. Both came with fresh fruit and cole slaw...VERY healthy 💜 Now, we're not really into cole slaw but...THIS one was the BOMB 😋 I tried to ask what kind of sauce they used, the guy named a couple and then went silent 🤨 OBVIOUSLY they wanna keep it a secret... I would too🤫 They have outdoor seating on both sides, picnic tables on one side and a couple more down in the grassy yard and little tables with 2 chairs on the other.Good news, they also have a restroom 🤙🏽 I took a couple pictures of Hibiscus also and the BEST part is that we've found another AWESOME place to eat at and try something new to eat & maybe add one of their delicious looking smoothies 😋🤙🏽
