Fish is just great!! Expect a wait out the door during busy time, but it’s well worth it!! Fresh fresh fresh local catches, can’t beat it!!Very delicious options. Several different fish each cooked several different ways, with several different sides!!! So many combinations, and that's just the "Fresh Catch Plates". In addition to that they have fish burgers, tacos, and a decent kids menu. They have their own very tasty and delicious"Magic Sauce," the Cajun Style Oho, with potatoes and Cajun style rice, was just super delicious.

Quaint little place serving delicious fresh caught fish. We came in after the Road to Hana like many others on a late afternoon and luckily had a short wait. The deep fried calamari was so hot and fresh and flavorful, and the cajun Ono and sauteed Mahi Mahi were so buttery and fresh. For the price I felt the portions were plentiful and the sides to each dish were also good. Great service and atmosphere.Parking: Free parking areas in Paia and along Baldwin Ave. Can be a little difficult to find when busy

The shrimp cocktail was pretty basic which is why I’m not giving them 5 stars. I got 6 cooked shrimp with cocktail sauce on the side (I know that’s the American shrimp cocktail but… why stick to that?). The fish tacos were very pretty good and paired well with their home magic sauce. We enjoyed the ahi sashimi, nothing amazing, just fresh and good quality. It did feel a little crowded, we went on a Wednesday around 2pm. It’s a make a line, pay your order and find a seat kind of place. They do have very fresh fish, just wish they were more creative with their preparations.

This is a small place, there was a long line with a 20 minute wait when we arrived. This was recommended by a friend. I got the fish and chips, it came with 3 small pieces that were fried to much for my taste. The slaw was good.My wife got the fish quesadilla, it was delicious much better than the fish I had. It was very loud and small. Just be aware then you will be fine.Parking is an issue, park in the free lot by the shell station. As road side is difficult to find an open place.

We always make an effort to visit this place when we come to Hawaii with our family. We have dined here on multiple occasions as well as their branch in Oahu. The Cajun rice is amazing and their fish selection is quite tasty. We often get the Ono and whatever catch of the day they have. This time was the opakapaka or pink snapper which was extremely tender, likely owing to the higher fat content relative to other leaner fish. People in the group ordered or clam chowder and was quite impressed with it as well.

We loved the food here! I got a salmon burger with fries and my husband got a mahi mahi burger with cajun styles rice. We also got the deep fried shrimp, which was amazing, so crunchy on the outside but juicy on the inside. I'm still dreaming about it days later. Only downside of this place is that it's so popular that the line was out the door - we waited about 30 mins. Inside was packed too but we were able to share a large table with another couple.

The Food was good, and portions were reasonable.Staff was really friendly and very organized as far as seating goes. Tables are first-come-first-served, but only after you order and pay for your food.I think this is great. This method eliminates people taking up tables “reserving” them for friends still standing in line.

Best coleslaw ever! Seriously can't think of a better coleslaw. I think it was the dill and a hint of malt vinegar... So good! The fries were thin and crispy and just what I needed after a 5 hour walk on the beach. This place would be 5 stars for sure if they weren't so busy which demonstrates how good they actually are. The fish taco was a little dry but that's mostly due to the fact that I can't eat cheese or salsa. If those things were on there I'm sure it would be better.Dietary restrictions: They were accommodating in not putting certain things on the food

We had dinner at Paia Fish Market in Paia after doing the Road to Hana. There is a free parking lot nearby, making it pretty convenient. The staff was helpful and friendly. I wanted to try one of the fresh catch plates and asked for a recommendation on what to order since I’m not that picky and figured I’d order whatever she suggested.Based on her recommendation, I got the snapper cajun-style with rice and home potatoes. First off, the portions are huge so that’s a plus if you have a big appetite. The plate also comes with coleslaw in addition to the selected sides.Overall, I thought the food was ok. My fish was on the dry side, which was disappointing since she had raved about how juicy the snapper is compared to some of the other fishes I was considering. So I think it was just overcooked (bummer). I also personally didn’t love the fennel seeds in the cajun spice mix, but that’s just a personal presence and I didn’t know it would have fennel in it. So for me, despite the hefty portion, it was a bit of a miss. I hate wasting food so I ate what I could and called it a day.My sister tried the seafood pasta. Overall she enjoyed it, but we noticed some of the shrimp wasn’t really deveined properly. Small detail, but kind of an important one. I’m sure with the volume of seafood they go through it’s easy to rush through cleaning the shrimp, but a bit more diligence in cleaning them would have been nice.I really don’t want to leave a “bad” review, especially given the fallout after the Lahaina fires and businesses suffering, but I wanted to at least share some of these issues because perhaps the kitchen can take the feedback and, I dunno, do better?Given our one and only experience here, I’m not sure I’d rush to try it again. For both of us it served its purpose as a meal, but it wasn’t as delicious or memorable as I had hoped it would be.

This place beat my expectations AND had Opakapaka which I had been looking to try our entire trip with no luck. Man. This fish was DELICIOUS. Suuuper fresh, got it Charbroiled with slaw and cajun rice. The chowder and salad were skippable but we wanted to fill up, and the shrimp were decent. Will be back for the fish on my next visit! Came on a busy sunday afternoon, line was long but only waited about 15 mins and then food came out 5 mins after ordering!!!

The town of Paia is amazing and the Paia Fish Market is the perfect spot to enjoy the town. I went there for lunch with my wife and 3 kids (15, 11, 8) and waited about 10 minutes to order. Seating is first come, first serve and as long as people follow the rules to not save a seat until they order, it flows nicely. My youngest both had the fish and chips and absolutely loved them. Best fish and chips they said they had on the island. The oldest had the fried calamari and chips. As a picky eater, she was originally put off by the fact that they weren't the circular shape that she's accustomed to. Then she actually tried them and realized they were 100x better than we she has had before. Her meal was gone in about 5 minutes. My wife had the Mahi Plate Cajun and I had the Ono Plate Sautéed at the recommendation of the server. We shared and both were fantastic. The fries are good, but the home potatoes were the best side by far.If you're in Maui, Paia is a must-visit and the Paia Fish Market is a perfect place to enjoy lunch or dinner!

Pretty good spot for lunch after the Road to Hana. I had the chicken pasta and it was good. My boyfriend had the chicken burger and he thought it was good too, just needed a little seasoning. We paid extra for fries but they were not very good and were a little soggy and under seasoned. We really enjoyed the crispy onion rings though! We finished them before taking a picture.Parking: There was parking for pay down the street, 3 min walk. About $5 per hour. Available all day.Another free parking for $5 but after 5pm.
