The food was pretty good. I loved my poke. My husband’s sandwich was fine. But, just one of the workers at the shop was not that nice to us. If I will go back around there, I might stop by this shop. I just wish they can be nicer to their customers.

Great food and poke but the girl working at the poke section had a terrible attitude. I wasn’t familiar with the types of poke they had and she was kinda rude and condescending towards me not knowing and asking questions. She slammed the pole trays into the fridge to show me what they have. Like what’s your problem?! No aloha vibe

This place was awesome! Tried the breakfast sandwiches and bagels and both were delicious and well priced considering the area. Was Also able to stock up on drinks and snacks for the road so really convenient. Cashier was so funny and friendly. Definitely a good spot to check out!

Last minute stop on our way home from a day at Twin Falls. We were not disappointed. While we initially stopped to admire all the classic boards that lined the parking lot outside. We decided to go inside the store, sure glad we did. We stocked up on some amazing local snacks as well as coffee. Everything we had was flavorful and priced right. The staff was warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back when we return to the island.

Could not recommend a place more! The coffee, breakfast sandwiches, salads - everything we tried, was so so good. We stayed for 3 nights within walking distance to this shop and ended up going back each morning to pick up breakfast/brunch. Now that we are home, I will be trying to make a copy of their breakfast sandwich and spinach pear salad.

First time stopping at Ku'au this morning since living Haiku side. Such positive vibes from all the staff running the store! My wife and I had our rescued mynah bird, who received so much love. We will definitely be making a weekly stop to support.

The sandwiches are absolutely amazing, wish i could have tried them all but the rest of the family is take it or leave it on any sandwich, where as i could survive on them for life. All the salads i got were amazing, the pickles are outstanding as are the fresh made lemon and limeades. Must go when in Maui!

Great little store / deli with amazing food and great prices! Chatted up the employees about local sights.Paid less here for a decent meal than we did when I took the family to fast food! Stayed right down the road so we went several times - smoothies, paninis, baked goods were all amazing! Also stopped to buy bread, chips and fruit at a reasonable price.

This place really surprised me. I was not expecting to like it, but I am glad that I paid it a visit. I bought a ham breakfast sandwich and a 16 oz. Americano, and although the drink was hotter than the flames of hell (I could barely hold it even with the cardboard hand protector over it), both were absolutely of the highest quality. The sandwich was hearty, scrumptious, and flavorful; while the Americano was robust and soothing (give the barista a raise, please). The service was good and the store's aesthetics were pleasant and welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience and will definitely return to it if I am ever in the area.

Had the veggie breakfast sandwich. It was really good and the iced latte was good. And got to meet Wookie, the owners puppy dog.The one cashier was less than enthusiastic, but the other staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great pit stop before hitting your Road to Hana tour. Coffee was great, pastries delicious and breakfast sandwiches fantastic too, although slightly more pricey than usual.The opening hours is 7am and not 6.30am as indicated on google, so enjoy that extra 30mins in bed ;)

Mid-day, we stopped in for takeout lunch after getting a recommendation from a rando at the beach nearby. Highly recommend. All four of us agreed these were some of the best sandwiches we have ever had.Also, on a personal note, we don't even remotely resemble locals. We're like fish out of water in Hawaii. We understand this, and it's fine. But the people working here were extraordinarily kind and welcoming to us nonetheless.Highly recommend this fantastic takeout spot for any/all hangry beachgoers who don't want to spend much time waiting in line to get their feed on! ! ! ! !

We were headed up to Twin Falls for the day and stopped in to get what we thought was a soda and candy bar. THEY HAD SO MANY amazing options! Super yummy sandwiches, poke bowls, fresh strawberry mango lemonade. A recommended must stop!

I wish we'd stopped here on our two drives to Hana. We had really great coffee every morning along with their tasty breakfast sandwiches during our recent stay nearby. Deli items looked really good though regrettably we didn't get a chance to try them. Definitely worth checking out before or after the long drive to Hana and in need of some provisions.

Nice little locally owned store. It has everything you'll need. They carry sodas, snacks, drinks, produce, deli's, food to go, etc. Every visit of mine they've been very welcoming and the place is clean. Theres also a picnic and eating area.

This place is amazing. Best pastries on the island and their pokie bowls were excellent as well. Get there before the tour guides and grab a coconut or cinnamon roll or a chocolate croissant.

The staff was very impolite and downright rude to our group. Unhelpful is one thing, but to go out of your way and disrespect someone and treat them as less than human is a completely different issue.I would not recommend this place to anyone who likes polite conversations and kind staff. Nor would I recommend going here if you don’t like spending a weeks salary for a sub-par meal.Edit:A few days later the impolite staff had the wherewithal to apologize after reading our review, though I still stand by the fact that a place that treats people like this is not somewhere I would recommend.If you ‘have frequent problems with people stealing’ then making a polite sign to leave backpacks outside would be a much better approach than hiring aggressively rude staff. We had been traveling and had nowhere to leave our bags and were afraid of having OUR stuff stolen. The following day we had the convenience of a car to keep our luggage in.Treat people like you want to be treated. If that is how you want to be treated I am sorry that you have grown to expect abuse in your life, self reflection and counseling would be my recommendation in that case.

Wow! I loved the prepared foods & fresh specialty drinks available here. These were the best local juice products I had in Hawaii, the turmeric ginger lemonade was amazing! The prepared food I've purchased from the counter has been healthy, extremely tasty & inventive. One of my fave prepared food stops in the area.

This store is wonderful! The prepared salads (especially the fern salad), the poke bowls, BBQ tofu, and the Okinawan sweet potato rolls are all delicious. They have a good selection of wine, beer, coffee and yerba mate as well, and some grab-and-go items.
