Third time is not a charm . This is Hau'oli/Mexican food..My taco salad, upgraded to shredded beef was so sad. Store bought chips as a base, romaine lettuce, mushy beef and maybe a scant tablespoon of cheese. The only redeeming factor was the salsa verde.Hang up the apron, this is a sad homage to Mexican food.

Customer service9/10Value for money10/10Quality of experience7/10This is one of the most tasty taco place I have been to and it is largely attributes to the makes of proteins and the special souces.I will recommend this as a place to visit on your way passing the town.It is very delicious and the owner(s) are very easy to approach. There are tables chairs and restroom.However.When the owner posts it is not fastfood. She means it.3 groups ahead of us and we waited roughly 40 minutes before we are received. Don't go here if you are in a rush.The fish taco used almost cold fried fish. It was heated earlier obviously but it became cold when served. This tasted gross and we gave up the fish taco.I would let this go and call it a wonderful (despite the wait) experience if it wasn't for both of us felt sick afterward that afternoon. I had a stomachache that forced me to a restroom and some pills. And the other one of us had stomachache. We did not eat anything else so we think it might have been the bite on the fish taco.

Pretty good taco place if you need to grab a quick bite. It is located in front of Hana Hou restaurant. Only one party can be in the restaurant at a time. There are plenty of benches around the property to choose from if you plan to stay and eat there. They accept cash only, so make sure you have some on hand. The fish tacos tasted fresh and you get to choose between 4 different sauces to put in your meal.

One of the few places with some vegan and vegetarian options in the south of Kailua-Kona. They only take cash (no Venmo/paypal either) so make sure you have some cash on hand before standing in the queue.We got the vegetarian burrito which was huge and tasted pretty average but great for the price (around $13.5). It was sufficient to fill one person during lunchtime. They have a lot of hot sauce options which we loved! They can make most of the dishes vegetarian upon request.There’s plenty of outdoor seating and parking space.Vegetarian options: They can make anything vegetarian if you ask them to.

The wait to get food was exceptionally long, but this was due to only one person working. The taco salads were acceptable and quite a significant amount of food, though the guacamole did not appear freshly prepared. The lilikoi lemonade was a refreshing treat.

This was a great spot to have lunch after a day hiking to green sand beach and a lot of driving. We did have to wait a bit for our food, due to Covid there was one party inside at once to order. The wait was well worth it. I got the taco salad with Baja sauce, which was great. My husband got a taco and burrito which were great as well. The price was very reasonable for the large portions. The lilikoi lemonade was fabulous too. Great customer service as well, just one worker serving up all the food and taking orders.

Went here twice while visiting Kula Kai caverns summer 2023. Amazing food, great andkind service. Overall was an amazing place to have lunch after a long day. Would recommend ❤️Kid-friendliness: Kind to all and great pricing on the food.Wheelchair accessibility: Large ramp and stairs for any type of accessibility.

Got the house recommend shredded beef burrito with Serrano sauce. It was absolutely incredible. Very quick and personable service. 100% would come back again!Features: They're only allowing 1 party at a time to enter but it's a very small step in room.

My family and I are Mexican from south Texas and we came back for seconds here because the beans, rice, shredded beef and toppings were soo yummy and authentic to our food back home. The worker was so nice and welcoming, she was working alone I didn’t catch her name but she was so friendly and always smiling. Try the burritos and nachos here you can’t go wrong. The POG juice was also just incredibly delicious and they have vegan horchata as well that was a nice twist on authentic horchata.

Loved this spot while touring the island. Had just finished hiking green sands and needed the fuel. Their chicken is super tender and flavourful. We had the taco bowl and burrito. Both were great! That being said...you're definitely having Hawaiian Mexican food. If you're a purist it may not be your jam.Parking: Lots of parking in both restaurantsWheelchair accessibility: You need to go up some steps.
