Not a place to visit if you are into an active vacation. Located at the far west end of the island, surrounded by abandoned properties with no restaurants or a real store nearby and with nearby trails frequented by hunting outings. You are essentially confined to the hotel and 3 nearby beaches (beautiful but not great for swimming or snorkeling). The staff clearly takes great care of the grounds but there's only so much you can do within a failed development. If you want quiet and solitude and staying within a walking distance from your room; and if you like the vibe of a ghost town and are OK with the property past its prime, then it's a good place to visit. Everyone else should reconsider.

Ke Nani Kai is a nice place. It was very quiet & relaxing. At times we thought we were the only ones there. Almost daily the peacocks would walk past our lanai. The pool area is nice but the water was pretty chilly. The tennis courts were always busy with people playing pickleball. There ate several beaches close by and plenty of trails/paths for walking or hiking.

A little far from town but this is main reason to visit Molokai... actually very easy only 20 minutes to airport !The resort & pool was well kept up and clean. Manager was super super sweet and helpful. I needed more towels and received them immediately!!! Loved hiking on beach. Only wish had bikes to use on trails would have been 5 stars plus!!

The wind is relentless. The trees are all bent from the wind and there is a steady film of dust as this is the desert side of the island. The beaches may look nice but are not good for snorkeling or swimming as there is no reef and the water is rough. To snorkel you have to take a boat out or drive out 20 miles east of town to the seemingly only good snorkel spot. Not much was seen on our snorkel boat tour. The pool and hot tub are very nice though, so if you like to swim that's the place. The place has an unpleasant vibe to me with the locals trying to keep outsiders from pricing them out and the abandoned condos falling apart in the wind. We will not go back

Appears upgraded son e I was here about 12 years ago. It is still so lovely and peaceful with sound of waves in distance. Appliances all in great condition and loved hot showers. We had to ask for more towels only supplied 2 of each for party of 4. Liz was amazing and immediately brought all we needed!! Word to the wise!! Absolutely do NOT attempt to climb steep cliff to left..There is a trail leading there and I was halfway up and trail disappeared and I was too scared to climb down the way I went up. I had to crawl on my hands and knees through Kiawe trees ( the worst!) Hanging onto any tree limbs to support myself from slipping on the red clay. So what seems easy is NOT!! I made huge mistake at 6:30am hike!!!

The good: it's really quiet and the beach out front is quiet. The west facing rooms see amazing sunsets. The bad: many buildings were abandoned years ago when the locals objected to a big resort going in here (which I don't blame them, they wanted to protect the last hold-out of traditional Hawaiian culture and lifestyle). Those buildings are really ugly and state KEEPOUT, so they aren't a great vibration and there are quite a few of them. But I'd come back here for the beauty and quiet, for sure.

The resort is a bit dated, but the two bedroom suite we had was a good size, and the bathrooms and flooring had been recently updated. The resort has a good size pool area, but be aware that children under 14 are not allowed in the hot tub - they are allowed in the pool. There are 3 resorts in the area, all about the same age (circa 80's), and a hotel from same age which is only partially open. There are great beaches within a few minutes walk, good for sunbathing, watching sunsets, surfing, boogie boarding..wave action usually made swimming impossible. Lots of walking trails. There are lots of good snorkeling beaches on the other side of the island, with driving time anywhere from about 45 minutes to 2 hours from the resort. The island is laid back, only 3 restaurants (2 hamburger places and 1 pizza place), all about 1/2 hour from the resort. There are 3 decent size markets, and the prices are similar to other islands. Car rental is comparatively expensive. If you want to visit the leprosy colony historical site, book in advance as you can only visit the site with one of the 2 approved tour companies.

Great condos to stay in for a week long visit. They have beach towels, beach chairs, reusable shopping bags, cooler and umbrella here for your use. There was a selection of books in the condo as well. The living room had a Murphy bed in addition to the two bedrooms. Two full bathrooms and a private deck. We stayed with 3 children elementary through teenage and it was fun for all. Easy walk to the beach to watch surfers and play in the shallow waves or in the sand. There is a pool and common bbq area that we enjoyed for grilling while the kids swam. It is on the far west end, so you'll have to drive a ways to see anything on the East side. Otherwise a great and friendly place.

Wonderful resort on the far west side of Moloaki. Had the clear water beach all to our selves most of the time.Rooms: It was a 2 bedroom condo. 2 bath and a Murphy bed. No AC but a constant breeze off the ocean.

The resort is well maintained and beautifully landscaped. The manager was very nice and helpful. The room was in good shape and well kept. The four stars is because the room stays hot when the sun is up, the small a/c unit finally catches up when the sun goes down. Would stay clear of upstairs units during hot months. Far far from town.

If you are looking for somewhere to be left alone, then this is your place. Yes, some of the condos are outdated (others, like ours, is not). The grounds could use a little bit of love but overall a nice place. Our one bedroom unit was well equipped. The pool is a short walk and is in great shape. The hot tub the same. There is a little store just down the road. The prices are a bit high and selection light, but given the geographic location that is to be expected. The units do not have AC but with the trades AC is not necessary really. There are beaches nearby. If you come in the winter, these beaches are for looking at only. They rock and roll well into April and they have lots of rocks. The days when they are calm, they would make for good snorkeling. The sunsets here at these beaches are excellent. The sun goes down over O'ahu, which is a hard sight to beat...and the nights are clear, allowing you to see tons of stars. The folks working here are, for the most part, nice. You get the occasional grumpy worker but we all have bad days.As for location....you are miles from anywhere. The biggest town is about a 25-30 minute drive. If you want or need groceries, get them in town before coming here.Be mindful of the aina and the animals. The axis deer here are everywhere (appx. 60k of them on this island and only 8k people!). Like any other deer, they seem to look for cars to drop in front of....and they will.Enjoy your stay!

People were really helpful, units were clean. The only complaint, I have is that grandkids, were not allowed in hot tub at pool. I don't believe,I would ever go back with grandkids, or children. The units were well kept, and clean, no air conditioning, but really didn't need it with the sea breeze. The ocean beach was beautiful. I was surprised by the cost of food and gas, but when you consider, everything has to be shipped in, it was not terrible.

We stayed in Unit 133,a two bedroom, one of the 7 time share units. It was immaculate and very comfortable. The staff, especially Kris and Story Teller, were very friendly and helpful. If you ask ahead of time they can get you a big discount on car rental at Alamo. There is some sports equipment, games and snorkeling gear you can check out. In the Unit is a washer and dryer with laundry soap, dishwasher, 2 televisions with cable and dvd player, four beach chairs and 4 beach towels. There is no air-conditioning. The temp. was in the mid 70s to high 80s. However a steady breeze blew through the unit and kept it surprisingly comfortable. Make sure and go to Kalaupapa and mail a coconut. The pool and hot tub was always immaculate so we swam everyday. There are no life-guarded beaches on the island so swim with caution. Talk to the staff for ideas on where to swim and snorkel.

Ke Nani Kai is a beautiful condo complex with a fabulous pool, hot tub and tennis courts. The setting is green and lush. The condos are low rise, quiet and very comfortable. It is a wonderful place to stay on the quiet island of Molokai.

Nice people. Very run down. The caretaker is awesome and super helpful but the buildings are on Their last legs. It WAS a nice place at one time, 30 years ago.

This is the only place that we spend our vacation 3 to 4 times a year 7-12 days each time. It is a resort type airbnb.

It's got all the right facilities and access to to a beautiful beach, but it's a bit in a state of disrepair.
