The Pukalani Superette is a Maui treasure, not far from the Haleakala Highway. Not only does it carry a plethora of groceries, it also carries fresh, locally-made foods and hot, takeout foods. (Legend has it the fried rice will cure a hangover.) Additionally, I’ve found them to be the most reasonably priced store that carries Maui-made items you may want to gift family and friends. I paid nearly double the price for Maui Fruit Jewels items at Foodland. Come here first for your gifting needs! And to top it off, all of the staff are so helpful and friendly. Love this place.

Getting there was easy and locals said it was a great place to go...and it was! People helped find the things we needed. Loved that they had a small washing detergent (great for a week stay there) and reasonably priced! Also, get their hot noodle dishes! Whatever is under the heat lamps that they make in the kitchen is AMAZING! We got a pad thai of sorts and it was sooo good and such a large serving we used the left over in our breakfast eggs! They had quite the variety of stuff there to get, so even though Google can't say if it has everything you want, I'd go and check because well enough they will have it or tell you where to go and get it. This long time upcountry market is a local favorite. Saves Pukalani, Makawao, and Kula residents from driving downtown for groceries and pre-cooked meals. A must stop location when visiting Maui.

Fantastic supermarket. They have a bunch of local items including poke, hot items, and baked goods. They have fresh fruit. The people there are super nice.

I love to support this place! They carry a truly great selection of items, the store is always clean and well organized, and the prices are lower or equal to all the big box mega conglomerations. Friendly staff and ample parking. Shop here first!

One of the best stores on island! Has local produce, good selection of organic stuff, hot food prepared daily with a local flavour! Cakes and pies are so good, and a great selection of different alcohol! Local meats and great vibe! Nice mom and pop type grocery store. We don’t shop here often as we live in town. We like their ham, stuffing, chili and baked chicken, potato mac salad, ready to cook kalbi ribs, tako poke and cut flower selection. Workers are pleasant and efficient. Catering dept is friendly and efficient.

Locally owned with great food selection both hot and cold. If you are visiting from out of town. You should stop by. They have great prepared lunch options and tons of cold options. Great selection of locally grown produce and fruits. Coffee is hot and fresh and a good selection of pastries. Also very popular with the locals.

This is a smaller, older market with local flavor and personality. The outstanding thing about this place is the prepackaged hot deli in the middle of the market. Portions aren't huge, but flavors and prices are right, especially when they mark them down if they sit for a while. My wife bought the fried chicken leg, which was discounted, and devoured it cold in the next morning. She loved it.

One of the last mom and pops. Owners actually give a crap, talk to their customers and stock what we like. Great local favorites. Great prices on produce and organic produce....convenient to all upcountry people. When they have sales they are REAL sales with hard to beat prices. Fresh cut flowers, sushi...Easy parking too.

Good place for quick grocery pick up. Store has many different items available. Good variety of choices. Also great prepared local food, like chow fun, delicious. Available during lunch time, kept warm. Also, some local farmers produce. Think a little of everything. They even will deliver.

Ono grinds!!!!Great selection of local produce that has not been shipped in to the island on containers. Their hot lunches selections are so good they fly off the shelves. My favorite hot lunch was the turkey dinner ,complete with gravy and mashed potatoes. A great local place to hit on your way up to visit Haleakala crater.

Better than the big supermarket. Good prepared hot foods to go. Not many vegan options. They do have quite a bit in a small place and I would enjoy it if the checkout people were consistently pleasant. Sometimes they are, but not always.

Great selection of local and specialty foods. Best Spam Musubi that I’ve found on the island. Generally the place we stop second after Costco, then off to the local produce stand for great Maui grown veggies.

Convenient mom and pops store. Serves as a mini market with lots of local made foods, local grown produce and bentos grab and go meals made in their kitchen. Popular by locals for a quick shop stop for last minute meal and shopping pick ups before heading to the beach, pot lucks with their ready made meals or just because you're hungry and didn't want to cook. Known for their "sweet chili chicken" as well as local grown meats and fresh fish. Weekly store sales and in-store specials. Affordable great tasting coffee and open early daily. Another quick off the road and back on. Lots of parking. Highly recommended. Friendly workers.

Great hot food, extremely well staffed. Haole observation... Only lunch food available at hot tables as early as 7:30 am. on Saturday. Must be a cultural thing, but I prefer scrambled eggs rather than mashed potatoes and gravy in the morning. But their gravy is to die for!

This place is awesome, pretty cheap for local stuff, food bar is super "local" which means it's incredibly delicious and probably going to give you a heart attack. But it's the only place that all by beef on the island, because they sell Haleakala Ranch beef. Get to know this place, it's worth it

A great mom and pops stop. They have everything the locals enjoy and their bento's are winner. They also provide catering with delivery. I have used their services and must say they were on time and provided the condiments and some of the paper products. You just need to bring your own plates and serving utensils.

Not very big on the meat options they have. Poke/Taco gets more expensive everytime I shop here. 5 star on their coffee options. 5 star on their daily sales ice cream. Milk is competitive.

Everything you need to include large platters of food for your party (order in advance). Senior citizens discount for 55 and over. Small and packed but that's how they get all the essentials in. Pretty much the only option in upcountry Maui but they don't take advantage of you because of it. Parking available.

Puk Sup as it’s known to the locals is a great store with local produce, fresh hot bentos, and a friendly staff. Prices are fair and competitive with the big grocery stores. Small and packed with what you need. Parking can be precarious but it is worth the convenience.

Everytime I go home to Maui I stop by. Great fast an easy food to pick up and the usually always have what I need. The cheesecake carrot cake combo is my favorite.

How can you go wrong here? Needed coffee; they had it. Also needed instant coffee and they had it. Hot foods? Get there early, because they will run out. If you're looking for their very popular maki sushi, your best bet is to get there early morning, as it can run out quickly.

I do love thus little store. I gave 4 stars only because it is a smaller store. It has unique items and many major items. It is close to my house so it is perfect and the prices are reasonable. Friendly service too
