This is a good place to stop and pick up some delicious take-away lunch. Worth noting there is nowhere at all to sit at this place (inside or outside) and if you’re heading north, it’s a good 10 mins to find somewhere to pull up (roads were closed).The food was fresh and so tasty, really delicious and cooked beautifully. The service was hilarious, the bloke behind the counter was so grumpy and rude but the guy in the kitchen was having a laugh and smile.

AMAZING! So simple because they use the freshest fish that does all the heavy lifting. You have to order the go find a picnin bench to eat at as there are no tables on premise. We drove about a mile and had the most amazing picnic lunch with an incredible view. You will need a towel or blanket but put this address in your GPS and plan on an amazing meal with a million dollar view. (Laʻie Point State Wayside, End of Naupaka Street, HI-83, Laie, HI 96762) We had the lightly grilled Ahi with Mango Salsa. For some reason I thought we had ordered a sandwich but it came out to be a grilled piece of Ahi at least 1 pound nestled on top of white rice topped with fresh made mango salsa. Please plan to share as it was a HUGE incredibly tasty piece of fish.

My wife and I visit Ken’s every time we visit Hawaii. I have family in Hauula, so we visit 2-3 times a year. The food has been consistently delicious every time!Ken puts out really good food at a fair price. In fact, the fresh fish is great to take home and prepare sashimi style or cooked.I’ll definitely be a lifelong customer - thanks Ken!

Great spot for fresh fish on this side of the island! They don't have a ton of options, but everything they do have is great. We tried the coconut shrimp and mahi mahi tacos, and seriously, these were the best fish tacos I've ever had in my sweet innocent life! There's no seating inside or out, so you have to pick up and go. The store hours are also limited, and they aren't open everyday, but it is so worth it. Give it a try and thank me later...

Just go!We got the poke (sweet and spicy), the mahi mahi tacos, and the katsu ahi.The katsu ahi was a huge portion on a nice hamburger bun. I could eat it everydayAMAZING. Great food, great prices, good portions.Only downside is it's not open for dinner!They also sell fish by the lbs and poke to go.

We heard about this place a couple of years ago but when we got there, it was closed. Last week we were back and stopped by. The food exceeded our expectations and the poke and sashimi was incredible. My wife doesn't like raw fish but said the grilled mahi tacos were amazing! Unfortunately, there's no place to eat there so we ended up eating at the beach in the car.

I went there on my final day staying in Laie and sad I didn’t try this place sooner as I wouldn’t have eaten at many other places as this would have been my go to for fish staying in Oahu. I had the Katsu Style Fish and the fresh Sashimi. I wanted to save some for others in my group to try, but it was so good I didn’t leave much else for others to try. I would highly recommend Ken’s if you are on the north side of Oahu. Some of the best food you will find on the island.

I was highly recommended to come here by a friend who is local. I was not disappointed. The Ahi Katsu was delicious, crispy, saucy, flavorful heaven in a to-go plate. Go for this dish if nothing else. Portion is enough for two for sur. We also got the grilled fish tacos, which were also great. Prices were super reasonable and the staff was super friendly. Come here and come often.

This is my favorite place in the north shore! I absolutely love it! 1st time I had it was during my honeymoon a couple years ago, so when I came back to Oahu this time I was already planning on coming back! It was just as good as I remember! I couldn’t forget the mango salsa on my fish tacos!!! Fish tacos are dangerously delicious, coconut shrimp is heavenly, ahi katsu is great. Honestly, I don’t think you can go wrong with anything. This is the BEST spot in Oahu!!! Can’t wait to come back to it

Best ahi katsu! The spicy ahi poke was also delicious and would recommend getting this with rice! They only offer take out without any outdoor seating options so plan to enjoy your meal elsewhere. They take both cash and card. They close by 3:30 pm and aren't open every weekday so look into this before you drive all the way out. Totally worth the drive!

Holy wow, some of the best fish katsu I've ever had. The fish was tasty and the breading wasn't too much. Definitely recommend stopping by! They aren't dine-in - just to-go. But the portions and the food were fantastic!

This place is soooo delicious!!! Well worth the cost ($15 per plate). We got coconut shrimp and the katsu ahi plate. We will be back for sure! Definitely one of my top 3 favorite places to eat on the island! Extremely friendly staff and all around great experience. The store was very clean as well

So good! One of the best places on the North shore to get good food. Poke is good, of course, but the ahi katsu is also something I would recommend. The prices are reasonable considering the amount and quality of food you get.

We got the Opah regular ($15) with ono fish tacos. Portions turned out to be huge, we could have split either one. Food was awesome. We’re on our way back to buy ourselves a t shirt and apron.Note that this pic was not take outside Kens. There is no dining area there, you have to go somewhere else to eat it.

BRAHHHH SO SO SO GOOD. YOU MUST TRY GO! Ordered the seared ahi with garlic butter caper sauce, 10/10 still dreaming about it. Ahi katsu 10/10 also still drooling about it. Oyster poke was a little too spicy for me and my son but the ahi shoyu poke was yummy! Also got limu poke and sashimi and it was SO ONO! Do yourself a favor and go try! Also we got our fish cooked medium rare. Well done is for weirdos. Don’t do it. Nah nah nah jk 😅

I came here a few month ago and the poke was amazing. It was $9 for the spicy ahi bowl and they packed it. I was looking forward to the poke this time and drove all the way from town. I came here today and the price is $10 for a bowl and the spicy ahi portion is a lot smaller. The fish also looks less fresh. I understand and am okay with paying extra few dollars for the local shops but do not appreciate the smaller portions and the quality. I only had the katsu ahi, but it was soooo good. A huge piece of fish with two large scoops of rice and salad. I am a big guy, but it was too much for me to finish in one setting ($15 for a regular portion). I ate here three times during my vacation. It is only carryout, but there are many beautiful beaches to eat your meal only 5 minutes away). They also have poke and sashimi in the fridge. They are only open certain days of the week and limited hours, so check before you visit.

Had the Ahi Katsu and it was delicious. Didn’t let the wasabi aioli fool you as it wasn’t spicy at all. Definitely order it medium rare. Also recommend the coconut shrimp
