Absolutely love this place the employees are all so friendly and helpful. The sandwich bar is amazing always fresh ingredients and new things to try. Thank you to Marina for her awesome attitude and delicious sandwiches. I recommend anyone upcountry to check it out.

This shop has all sorts of gifts, such as clothing, books, soaps, lotions, jewelry, quilts, foods/snacks, and spices. They also have a restroom and outdoor picnic tables. A nice place to stop before or after you leave Haleakala National Park or if you’re in Upcountry.

The manager and employees of this Marketplace are incredibly rude and seemed genuinely irritated that there were customers present. We tried to order a sandwich and they told us they were too busy and we should shop in the store. We waited patiently and when it was our turn the manager took a group of people who just walked in over us...but not before insulting them as well. The assistant at the main register said to a different customer "now that I'm clocked in I can help you." You have to work hard to be this loathsome. We have shopped here for years and wonder if, like Kula Lodge, it is under new ownership. (Kula Lodge has gone down hill as well.) I will patronize other businesses in the area instead. What an absolutely horrible place this has become. Good luck.

Incredibly good sandwiches made with love. The guy who made ours you could tell loved what he did with creating wonderful food. Beautiful artist keepsakes here too.

Was the only place around to grab a bite after zip lining but before we headed up to the summit to watch the sunset.Friendly staff and a good selection of snacks and drinks. They even had picnic tables outside to consume said snacks.

Really nice little shop with a great mix of snacks and art/crafts which seemed to be mostly local! Definitely get the dehydrated crispy pineapple here, delicious.

For a small, out of the way place, you’d think a little courtesy and kindness would be par for the course. Not so here! The lady behind the counter was rude and unkind. Beyond that we found the prices to be far more than lots of other places in the area.Avoid this place unless you like the locals being rude and threatening!

Came in after eating a great lunch at the lodge. Store was closing in 10 minutes. Clerk was extremely rude. Reminding us with a running countdown of how many minutes until closing. "10 then 7 then 6." No smile, absolutely unfriendly. I get wanting to be done, but we felt very unwelcome.

I found there wasn't much to find in the shopping center. It also seemed that the store hiked up the prices a good amount. Besides that it was an okay shopping mall. Nothing extraordinary.

Stopped in for water and was pleasantly surprised to find a homey, friendly shop with everything from local crafts to wine on offer. A worthwhile stop and browse.

One of the last stops before heading up the Volcano. Get water and snacks, you will need these if you hike some trails. The high wind and the sun will take the water out of you.

Great place to stop by while riding your bike down the volcano and have lunch indoors or outdoors, find a a variety of local artisans creations, and enjoy the landscape of the south coast of Maui.

Great place to stop and get snacks & water before you head to the top! Beautiful trees and fragrance as you walk down the path to the right of the parking lot.

Would have been a cute shop but the women working there were incredibly rude. They acted like wrapping up delicate pottery and giving instructions to the bathroom were a huge inconvenience, honestly just terrible customer service and wish I hadn’t bought anything but had already paid at that point. The restaurant next door is awesome but save your money for a gift shop with nicer employees, preferably one owned by native Hawaiians with goods actually made in Hawaii.

A lot of good stuff here, including food, grocery, souvenirs created by local artists (Christmas ornaments, paintings, postcards, etc.), travel essentials. Public washroom is available. Ladies at the counter are very friendly.

Amazing store! A great place for handmade gifts, unique gifts, beautiful gifts! Wonderful collection of various turtle items as well as other collections. Beautiful cards and staionary, pictures of all sizes. And the best customer service you could ever want! The lady's there are so sweet and kind. Plus the restaurant next door has great food and incredible views.

Stay away. Super rude staff and basically just a tourist trap. Made in China products and nothing locally made or produced on the islands. Spend your money locally and give to the natives further down the road or to the ones selling fruit off their front door. Both ladies in store were very unwelcoming and appeared almost annoyed I was even shopping with my wife. Just a pit stop for the bike riders on the mountain to grab a quick snack since there is nothing else near by which makes it unfortunately a monopoly. And the bathroom was disgusting. No aloha spirit here. No kindness. Move on.

Kula Marketplace is one of my favorite places on island, or in the US for that matter! The space itself is clean and open. Each 'nook' or section is curated and themed, ie: clothing, food items, kitchen gear, etc. The staff is amazing! I walked in and was greeted with a cheery smile and immediately was escorted to SAMPLES! My kind of place indeed. I had called the store earlier that day to have them put some peanut butter aside for me. Michelle was so helpful and such a gem to chat with. I went back a couple more times because they sell many items that you can't get anywhere else. Did I mention they support local artists? I cannot recommend this store more. Please take the time to check them out!

Great selection of necessities, food, drinks, gifts at very reasonable prices. I got a poncho for $2.50 and a meal (chicken caesar salad) for $8. Friendly and helpful staff.

Tourists should avoid this place at all costs. Woman running the place was rude and acted like she didn't want us there. So sad for a beautiful area. But there are many other beautiful areas on Maui

This little shop has tons of unique Hawaiian nick-nacks that are great little gifts for folks back home. If you're in the area it's a good place to stop and take a break from driving.

After pursuing various stores in Maui, I have to say Kula was my favorite. I found unique trinkets, sweeties, and cosmetics here, that I could not find in Wailea or Ka’anapali. My only wish is I had time for a 2nd stop! Definitely going back next trip. Stop by on your way to or from Haleakala National Park — you won’t be disappointed!

This is a lovely place to visit. They represent local artists and we always purchase jewelry to take home from our vacation. The Maui artists make beautiful Upscale jewelry and we like to support the island rather than support the big box stores.Thank you Kula Market place for paying it forward.

This is the Trader Joe’s of Kula. Conveniently located for those on their way to and from Haleakala. Unique gifts made on Maui, and a grocery store with sandwiches, drinks, and other yummy goodies. A must for gifts and tourists, with items locals will enjoy as well.

Sunrise was spectacular, being on top of the volvcano crate (~10k foot elevation). Got to view the sunrise above the clouds for a unique perspective. Did the bike ride down the volcano (starting just outside the national all Pak gates). Great casual ride (could coast o. The brakes for over 95% of the ride, and grab lunch at Local restaurants. Splendid memory...

Nice spot for a short break/picnic. Store has nice local gifts, local honey(even in mini samples), coffee even flower but pricier then down along the beach.

Lovely establishment. The stuff was very attentive and courteous. I loved the selection of gifts and merchandise. It's probably the setting and the drive to get there That is so enjoyable.

Terrible service, workers were unnecessarily rude. All merchandise is overpriced. Would not recommend stopping here.I was wearing my mask properly the whole time I was in the establishment. They still spoke to me unprofessionally and unkindly.
