We had the Kale & Beet Salad and Tomato soup in a bread bowl. Both were so delicious. We also got a coffee and smoothie so a little pricey overall for lunch but worth it. Went here our last night and wish we had found this place a little earlier. Seems like a good option for fresh, scratch food that is reasonably priced and interesting. Love the kale salad! I’ve gotten it twice now and it’s been great both times.Be warned: The ahi poke had no rice! Instead, it was served on a bed of lettuce. It says “local style” on the menu so we assumed rice. I haven’t seen any “local food” served without rice. Very disappointing. Besides missing rice, the ahi and avocado were delicious.At another visit, I got the açaí bowl and it was delicious as well.

Food is definitely very expensive. They do claim to use locally grown items, which could cause prices to be higher. We tried both fish sandwiches and they were both very good and seasoned well. The cookies are amazing! Would eat there again but not as often as I would like as we spent $120 on lunch for 2 people (appetizer, two sandwiches and an açaí bowl for dessert)

We were all so happy with our experience at Living Foods. Everyone's meal was perfect, full of flavor, and the portions were just right. Sitting at the outside deck was comfortable and our server was super sweet. The building has a cool grocery store with lots of healthy choices, smoothies, coffee, etc. An all around awesome addition to the area and we can't wait to go back.

The staff here is incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. We happened to stumble upon this place for breakfast and we’ve already made reservations for dinner because we enjoyed the food so much. Friendly service goes a long way and felt that it deserved a review, not to mention the great vibe. Ordered the avocado toast and the sourdough bread was to die for.

I must say, the overall experience was nothing short of phenomenal.From the moment we picked up the food, it was evident that great care had been taken in its presentation. The flavors of the dishes were simply outstanding. During our trip to Kauai we ate here three times. Everything we ordered was excellent. The salads are fresh and huge! The pan roasted chicken is savory and satisfying. Our kids loved the Mac and cheese. The highlight of this place was actually our server Kathy who treated us like family and took extra special care of us each time we ate at Living foods. Dining with small children is stressful and Kathy was like a third parent helping along the way. We can’t recommend this place more highly. Ask for Kathy!!Kid-friendliness: We broke a glass, left a mess, we loud - you know who it goes. The wait staff acted like it was just another day and made us feel at ease.

Delicious food. We ate here twice while in Kauai and everything we tried was absolutely amazing. The burger was particularly good.The cocktails are also incredible. Highly recommend the Rhymes with Orange, My Tie, and Okay Boomer.Very friendly and welcoming staff, who provide good service.Will visit again next time I'm on Kauai.

We are yearly visitors to Kauai. We tried Living Foods for the first time for a late lunch. Food was great. We enjoyed deviled eggs, charcuterie, fish sandwiches and a salad. There was a complication/delay with our son’s meal twice. Our server Teva was so good about it. Teva and the manager made everything right and we got some delicious cookies. We will definitely go back and ask for Teva.

Fresh food in an upscale but chill location. Cocktails all held fresh fruity ingredients with a variety. Wait staff were very friendly & attentive. The manager Sherrie checked on our table, making sure we were content. Impressed with her hospitality.I had the flat bread that consisted of lemon Ricotta, Hamakua Mushroom, Garlic, Onion, and Arugula. Yum! Would highly recommend. My son had the smash burger which he boasted about for an hour after eating it. Great location and even better food.

Could be so much better. We ordered the “kale, beets, and blue” and the “smash burger”. The menu described “charred beets” for the salad. There was no semblance of any type of charring or even grilling of the beets. The blue cheese tasted more like salt than blue cheese. They really need to find a decent blue cheese to use. Or better yet, a goat cheese. The “spiced macadamias” were just macadamia pieces. No spices to be seen. It was a very big serving, but tons of salty “blue cheese” left after picking through.The burger was okay but the patty was regrettably small. The “pineapple slaw” that came with the burger, looked like it was made 3 days ago, and only tasted of a slight hint of sesame oil. Even the pineapple pieces didn’t taste like anything. It desperately needed some salt and a splash of citrus or vinegar.Also, we were sitting next to the motion detector sliding door to the back patio/bar area. Nice ambiance but the door constantly opened and closed the WHOLE time while no one was walking thru. You would think they would fix that.Lots of potential at this place but someone needs to shake some things up in the kitchen, and fix that door.

This review is for the restaurant side of this business, as they also have a small convenience store at the same location. Our service at the restaurant was pitiful, or non-existent. Our waitress was absent most of the time; maybe she had too many tables, or just incompetent, either way it was unacceptable that we could not get water refilled, or get a second beer.Our dishes were okay, certainly nothing to brag about, and way over priced for what we got. There are many better restaurants in Kauai to enjoy, before we step foot in this place again. Save your money.

Hell no, tried to get two plates for dinner to go and was forced to add 20% tip. I don’t mind tipping the workers but the food was so disappointing. Steak frites was sad pile of salty soggy fries, a piece of steak that looked way smaller than 6oz and was not cut. It tasted sour?Besides the food not feeling very loved, the customer service was weird too. Doesn’t seem they care much, and are preying on tourists for overpriced food. There was a review on weird vibes coming from this place and I see why now. I would stay away.$30 for the plate of food below…

Nicole & Matt are hands on, always present, friendly managers who run the establishment. Nicole wears the prettiest dresses 🤓. Jessa & Ryan at the bar do a fabulous job! This place often has specials - don’t forget the ask about them. Their Chef & cooks do a great job. I’m a huge fan of their enormous salads for dinner & chilaquiles breakfast (Friday-Sunday). This restaurant has some of the best value on the south side and I love the open air ambiance. Check it out!
