Can not say enough incredible things about Kapa'au Vet! They go above and beyond to make you feel seen, heard, and taken care of!!! Dr. Allex is incredible- so thorough, so intelligent, and so detailed and compassionate in her vet care. She is such an amazing asset to the clinic!!! I am a brand new patient and I was given an initial appointment so quickly once I called!! The customer service and the reception team is exceptional and they follow up with check ins and inquire how things are going in such a conscientious and kind manner! The vet tech we had with Dr. Allex was so loving and sweet with my kitty. I am blown away at the level of care this vet clinic gives and how they make me feel like a prioritized and cared for client in so many ways! It is beyond what I've experienced at other vets and is so special and so incredibly appreciated!!!

I am so thankful for this clinic I could cry. Everyone here is so sweet, caring and compassionate! They are highly-trained professionals who treat your fur baby as if it were their own. They take their time, making sure to go over any and all questions as well as offer excellent recommendations. I can not say enough good things. The quality of care is outstanding and we are fortunate to live close as if we did not we would STILL make the drive because they are that good. The world needs more clinics such as this...thank you guys for all you do. It’s never an easy thing finding a vet for your animal; it can be daunting in fact- but this is just one of those absolute gems. Thank you for taking care of our Koa!!

Seriously best veterinary Dr. and staff on the Big Island hands down. Wow, I wish Kapa'au was my Dr.'s office. They are all so caring, really took the time to get to know us and teach us about our dog's diet & health. It was incredible and very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend Kapa'au veterinary clinic. Even if you don't live in Hawi it's worth the drive.

Best vet I've ever been to. The doctors seem to really care about your pet and they take the time to check them thoroughly. I especially like that they send you home with a detailed report card. I wish I could give them a score of 3, but can't because they do have a downfall - receptionist named Angela. Be careful. She may look & sound sweet, but is very shrewd and can be sassy. She will make you spend more money than you have to. She has very little compassion for customers who travel a long way to be at Kapaau Vet. And finally, on several occassions, she has rudely expressed a disappreciation for my patronage and has tactfully implied that I go elsewhere. So I DID spend my money elsewhere on at least three occassions because of this very rude young lady. If I was the owner, I'd get rid of her as she is steering away business. Kapa'au Vet lost at least $550 in services from me alone in a one-year period because of Angela. I am quite offended by her expressions as I have never complained or stirred-up any problems there. Instead, I have offered tons of praise to all. Everyone at Kapa'au Vet, with the exception of Angela, makes me feel like a valued client and I appreciate them a great deal as well.

Dr. Woodley is the most compassionate vet we have ever met. She communicates everything that's going on with our pets and I know she diagnosed our English Bulldog and saved his life - a mix of both western and eastern medicine brings about very effective treatment - we both have the utmost respect for her and her staff.Hamilton thanks you and we both will miss Kapaau Vet Center.Aloha - A hui hoKate

They overcharge for everything! Never cuts u a break. Very shi-shi. Robin was a doll but these new owners Suck. I spent over $1000. and they still wouldn't give me a break. Found out it would have cost me $500. at another vet. And I had to provide my own pain medication.One would be wise to shop around!
