Today I went to the Whole Foods in Kahului Maui, the sandwich bar and ordered two sandwiches gluten-free and she said she didn’t have any bread. I told her there’s bread on the shelf. I’m happy to go get some even happy to buy the loaf. They said they couldn’t do that. I asked to speak to Manager And he said I’m not aware of gluten-free. I don’t know how that works. I don’t know anything about that. I told him I’ve gotten gluten-free sandwich there many times.This is very upsetting. I wasted a half an hour of my time in line trying to order a sandwich from them.

Loved their salad and food bars as well as their coffee bar. Variety of items for everyone's taste.The store is well maintained and stocked. Always busy, but lines move quickly.On the pricier side, but what can you expect? It is Hawaii.This butter is the best.

This is a very grotty Whole Foods. The store is cramped and often crowded. The fixtures are old and shabby and the store feels a bit dirty in places. There is no self-checkout and the lines for registers often stretch down the aisles. The air con is not effective so the glass on fridges and counters usually mists up, making it hard to see products. The store is in desperate need of a refurbishment. With the prices it charges, the least Whole Foods can do is invest in its stores to create a nice customer experience.

Whole Foods Maui - the top rated establishment where you have the opportunity to bag your own groceries while paying the highest price in the United States of America, and have multiple employees watch you do what’s in their job description. Then you will be punish further by management when they apply willful blindness to the cause of the result. Waste of life in general. Your choice..

It is unfortunate that an establishment that I shop at regularly stateside, would have such poor customer service at this specific location, that I would under no circumstance shop here again and would direct all friends and families when they come to the island to shop elsewhere. On my way to the airport I stopped into this Whole Foods to buy snacks, some local Hawaii soap from the Whole Body section of the store, and a breakfast sandwich. The only positive thing I can say from this experience was that the croissant breakfast sandwich was good.The interiors of this Whole Foods is somewhat small, they don’t offer a self-checkout line, and even though it wasn’t terribly busy when I was shopping there, I could imagine it gets backed up into the aisles just because of how small it is and perhaps not having enough staff at the registers during peak times.While I was shopping I suddenly needed to use the restroom, I asked one of the workers where the restrooms are, and he begins to tell me that I need to exit the store and use the public restrooms in a different area of the plaza. I asked him to repeat once again what he said because I thought I missed something as this makes no sense to me, he mentions it’s been like this since the pandemic, and again explains where I need to walk, turn, etc. to find these outside public restrooms. I was very tempted to leave my items and let this gentlemen know that I will not be returning to buy anything, because nothing upsets me more than poor customer service.I’m not sure if it’s the fault of store leadership here at this location, or the Southern Pacific regional office, but whoever has decided to close off the restrooms made a very poor business decision, if it truly comes down to the pandemic I would think they’d have some other social distancing policies in place, but it appears the no bathroom thing is just an excuse. As a result paying customers are inconvenienced and have to use a public restroom in a separate area of the plaza. I would suggest anyone visiting the island of Maui to spend their money elsewhere, there’s plenty of Safeways that sell all the products you would need to stock your fridge and also offer great customer service. Even at the airport and other souvenir shops you can buy local products, coffee, honey, chocolate bars etc. I will not return to give this Whole Foods location my business under any circumstance.For people that have kids and take them grocery shopping, or even the many that have health conditions that would need to use the bathroom immediately, the fact that this Whole Foods location doesn’t allow paying customers to use the restrooms is by far the most ridiculous thing I’ve come across in a long time, and it would be an easy fix if the person operating this store had a clue of what good customer service is.

This place again didn’t disappoint! Went here 7 years ago and loved it. Back in the island these days, we tried it again, but setting our expectations very low. We have been pleasantly surprised to find tasting food at the food bar and everything else you might need. Including local food. Yum!

It's really unfortunate that it's a one star when really...everything was good, except my experience with Serena was so awful that I just have to give you a one star 🌟I've never experienced anybody, not even a customer that has been so rude to me.I couldn't find a plastic bag, and I saw one hanging on a cart and and I took a plastic bag for my produce.If she would have nicely, said to me that a customer should not touch that cart, I absolutely would understand but she scolded me like I was a child! It was embarrassing. It was loud. It was abrupt and then I asked her what her name was and she said "none of your business". Really? The poor gentleman that finally told me what her name was. I saw him get scolded from her for telling me. She is so rude. I can't imagine why she's working in customer service. What a bad experiencei've been on Maui for 30 years. I rarely come to this side when I do I enjoy Whole Foods but it won't be a stop anymore. I'm extremely appalled.

I had a great experience at Whole Foods Maui when I picked up my catering order for Thanksgiving. Of course it was crazy busy in there, but I luckily found Sarah one of the employees.She directed me on where to go outside of the store and back to the side to check in for my order. She took the time to meet me over there to help me through the process. She then found me back in the store to give me my order. She was kind, enthusiastic, smiling the whole time, and very helpful. Hopefully Sarah is rewarded for her OUTSTANDING customer service!! 💛🧡

Clean, healthy and very beautifully displayed. So many choices, so much color, smiling happy folks everywhere!The prices are comparatively low, even for Hawaii! Amazing how fresh and well stocked everything is, Walmart is always low or empty shelves, so Whole Foods is a refreshing shopping experience!

This is a great grocery store. Whole Foods stocks many organic products and definitely caters to people who have food allergies. There are many vegan and gluten-free products sold here. The store also has a great selection of liquor and some of it is in coolers. They have a really good prepared food department where you can buy ready made foods to eat at the store or at home. The ingredients are all clearly marked. This store even has electric car charging stations for your convenience. I definitely recommend this place.

They have great food and I like the people that work there. My question is why is it always so long to check out even when there’s not even that many people about six weeks ago I got E. coli poisoning off of the salad bar from the spin.

Always full of energy at Kahului Whole Foods! Great place, great people, & good hot food. Price are getting lower after the amazon acquisition. Still about the same price of other local health food stores. Over all I love it and it’s the only place I can get a hot ginger, apple, lemon, turmeric, & cayenne drink. They call it the flu fighter. It’s awesome.

They had delicious pre-made salads and an excellent wine selection. That said, we got pizza from their deli, and to be honest, neither of us were able to finish it. I'm assuming it had been sitting out for hours... hard, cold, and dry. I was also surprised to see that there weren't any local mangos for sale. The thing that really put me off was the cashier. She wasn't friendly at all! I work in customer service, so I know how tiring it can become, but every customer should be treated with kindness and respect...that's what makes people return to your establishment.

Stopped in to buy some fruit. Clean and organized store with approachable employees. The woman working the register calmly walked us through how to get to the prime barcode even though she probably spends most of her shift doing that.

Please fix the freezer, get some carts and install some self checkout stations. The freezer has been broken for years, there are rarely carts available and the lines take forever. This was once a great store.

One of the best supermarkets on Maui, where you can find a lot of locally grown produce, even from Ono farms (our favorite organic farm in kipahulu). If you find papayas, apple or ice cream bananas, buy them!!Free WiFi available in store is a plus👍
