This is your typical Walmart but it's the only one on the island of Maui, so it is extremely busy. Prices are reasonable, checkouts are fairly expeditious, staff is helpful and lay out of building is reasonable. Parking is a little tight. Best time to go is in the latter hours of the evening as the locals don't tend to shop at that hour

This is an outstanding Walmart and one of THE places to go as a tourist. Buying your Maui shirts and dresses, as well as anything else you'd find at tourist trap is the BEST choice. We paid for 10 shirts what we would have paid literally for 2, maybe 3 shirts elsewhere 🤔 🙄

I went into Walmart tonight to look for some inexpensive men's walking shorts and some tourist keychains. I found everything I wanted at great prices. I ended up also buying some groceries. Walmart has good grocery prices and also found everything I needed. It also looks like they recently purchased new disability carts. There were plenty, which is a huge improvement.

If you're used to going to Walmart, this is the same as others. You can buy souvenirs, inexpensive beach supplies, cold beers/booze, and munchies/food. It's near the airport so I recommend you stop by as soon as you arrive and on your way to your place of stay.

Enjoying the curbside pickup. Not enjoying the fact some of the things you order is not available eventhough they say it's available online. Still one of the best place to shop on Maui. They carry a decent variety of items. Much more than Target.

Was kind of disappointed, went in looking for a light jacket and there were nine to be found. The workers there had an accent that was very difficult to understand. I am from Hawaii and understand most accents, but the worker mumbled and acted like we were bothering her when we asked for assistance.

Walmart just doesn't get it, as much as they try to compete against Amazon. Case in point, we went there to return items bought at their website. First, the person at the cash register in the automotive section for the bulky automotive items informed us that they couldn't look up our online order at their cash register and we'd have to truck them to the return desk at the front of the store, which was a big logisitic hassle. Ok, not ideal, but we did it. Then, the return desk women give us the clueless vibe and after three clerks are consulted, tell us, "Oh, we don't refund the shipping on online orders." Really? We just lose the $120 for the wrong items being shipped? Finally, someone came up and said you have to contact the website to get the shipping amount back. Why? The order receipt shows we paid it. Let's make it as big of a hassle as possible to return online orders in our stores! We're still not certain we've been refunded everything yet. Even the phone agent couldn't explain why it has to be a two-step process and agreed it's an unnecessary hassle that a lot of people complain about.

Good selection of tourist stuff if that's your goal. Can get quite busy and it does not have the largest food section. Parking can be a mess on occasion. They have a bank and McDonald's inside. Staff seemed friendly the many times I have come in.

A lot of empty shelves, areas on the floor covered with spills that have been there a while, and the t-shirt section was always a mess with about half the designs missing t-shirts to purchase. Has a good selection of cheap souvenirs & a good variety of macadamia nut treats. Easy to check out and even though they check your cart on the way out, they were efficient and we got back to our activities quickly.

Amazing store amazing people literally the most that you can expect out of a Walmart. There’s nothing really much of a difference here in Hawaii versus when I lived in Connecticut but it definitely hits different. It’s a different vibe.

This place has the worst security guards on island. Not only are they rude and incompetent. They have no sense of humor at all. Wich means they actually think they are doing a good job. They make Pono Security seem legit.

Get off the plane, hit Costco then Walmart! Once we're settled in for our 5 month stay, we go once a week and add Target to our list of stops.Walmart is Walmart, but here on Maui, they sometimes struggle to keep the shelves stocked, so if you see what you want, don't wait to get it. Take your own bags, good idea to bring an insulated bag with ice packs if you're buying cold items.The store has a grungy feel to it, but the employees have always gone out of their way to be helpful, and I've noticed, if I smile, I'm treated with a return smile and friendly customer service. Attitude equals attitude!One more tip: don't hesitate to look for parking closer to the entrance, most of the time it looks like the lot is full, but we've always found nice spots in the shade, closer in!

Okay so this walmart is ALWAYS so busy!!! I'm assuming it's because it's the closest walmart in Kahului lol or maybe because it's walmart!! Im a walmart kinda girl so I get it!! They have everything!! Customer service here is unmatched <3 I gave it 5 stars because they stay STOCKED on EVERYTHING! Thank you walmart!!!
