My absolute favorite place for fish and supplies. Large selection and a regular shipment of new fish. (I go in around once every 1-2 weeks and there's always new fish) Very welcoming and knowledgeable staff that is eager to help. Great team communication, if someone doesn't know the answer to a question, they know which coworkers will.I've had poor experiences at an unnamed corporate chain pet supply where the staff seems annoyed that I'm asking for a fish and that they have to do their jobs. Oh noooo.This problem isn't present at The Pet Shop, and I highly recommend supporting this locally owned business and to sign up for the rewards. It's been beyond worth it for me. Keep it up guys!

I like to support the small business pet shops. They are always friendly and helpful. They allow us to put our food on hold which is helpful. Good selection of higher quality food, toys and products. They have a great rewards program too. Recommend checking them out for your pet needs.

I have been a shopper at this establishment for many years. Literally spent thousands of dollars. Generally they honor several days warranty when you purchase fish. I will never ever shop at this place again in my life and I will advise anybody and everybody that I know not to participate in purchasing anything from this establishment. Sunday I went there and the little boy who was working at the counter refused to return to dead Fish I spent nearly 65.00 Purchasing less than 12 hours prior. He was very rude, I did not want anything to do with hearing why I was returning this dead fish that I have spent so much money on. I emailed this establishment and have had no response. Some professionals! I can take my business elsewhere where they will service customers who are valuable like myself

Great place to get all of your pet needs.Even through the pandemic service is still great. Very friendly and helpful staff, they go out of their way to help. They'd put aside and save dog foods and treats for us for a week or longer until we can make the long drive to come and get them. Better prices than Petco, we love this store and like to support a small business in the community. Wouldn't you like to shop where people remember your name? Definitely yes!

An amazing selection of fresh water fish and as a huge bonus, a staff that actually knows about fish.They have a great selection of other critters too.Pay them a visit, you may end up with some Mudfish, water dogs, Axolotls etcThey also sell live crickets and worms.

Iʻve been a dedicated customer of The Pet Shop for decades! I adore John and Susan, the owners, and their staff. They are really friendly, acknowledge you by name, and are helpful in the store and out of the store! Every time I buy a large bag of dog food, they always ask if they can carry it to my car for me. Love the products, or I should say my dogs love the products, and the excellent, friendly customer service.

The Pet Shop in the Maui Mall is the only place we go to shop for our dog. We found it to be cheaper than going to The Pet Co and their selection is amazing. Plus it is locally owned and their employees are friendly and helpful. They have a great customer rewards program and I am always getting coupons for $10 off or double the bonus points. I am so grateful that we have such an awesome pet shop on Maui and don't know what I would do without The Pet Shop.

Only a 2 star and not a 1 because the fish quality is better than petco. But the staff seem often irritated. Lots of covid paranoia and uneasy vibes. 1 person at least that is cool there but over all tension makes it uneasy to visit.

Great pet store! Even had the Hamturbo 9000 water cooled hamster wheel at a reasonable price! Now my hamster is jacked, running faster than ever and pulling all the hamster tail on the island! :D

I love going into The Pet Shop. There is a genuine interest from the staff to help me find what I am looking for. The store carries a variety of brands and types of food for my dog and cat,as well as treats and toys and grooming supplies, leashes and collars... I enjoy the rewards program, too.

Thank you The Pet Shop at Maui Mall (my one stop shop) for my little animal family's needs.It has almost been a year since my last review of The Pet Shop. Consistency in excellent customer service, no matter how "cRaZy" my request may be is my main reason for choosing this pet store to shop. I have used them for purchasing food, supplies, bird wing trimming and nail clipping. They have a huge heart for the community and are always willing to help out in all of the numerous fundraisers that I somehow seem to get involved in. They are knowledgeable in their products and can guide me if my pets require a "special something". They are more than just a pet store, they are my friends.

Really great local pet shop with lots of high quality pet food. We are choosing to buy our dog food and cat food from the Pet Shop to support local. The prices aren't much more than Amazon and it's so nice to know that the money stays on Maui. Helpful staff too.

Missed this place since I couldn't find it after it moved,So very glad that I found it again when I couldn't live without it before I was just struggling with higher prices and bad customer service! But I am back with my rewards program in place since I moved,if you have a pet,from fish,bird,,bunny,cat,dog.,WHY GO Anywhere else? There's The Pet Shop for all your needs even the one's you didn't know you had"Enjoy.I recommend obviously overall other pet supply store's on Maui

My boyfriend and I have been regulars for over a year. We absolutely adore this pet shop! This pet store has my personal favorite selection of animals. They always have the cutest, softest bunnies, and they let you hold them too. Being the bird hobbiest that I am, most times I am very pleased with their selections of birds, parakeets, cockatiels, conures, lovebirds, finches, etc. There store is huge, and has such a wonderful and giant selection of pet products, most are reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly, and it's been a pleasure to see the same faces every time I shop there. The stores layout is perfect and very spacious. You never feel too cluttered or crammed. If I could modify or suggest anything for improvements, it would be that the store had longer hours and stayed open later, allowing for more business. 6pm is too early and many people do not get off of work in time to make it there by closing. One more thing I'd like to see, would be a more consistent selection of birds, at lower prices. Often times I come in and they have dozens of birds of many varieties, and then other times theres very few birds, and only a few varieties. And I feel the prices of their birds should be more competitive. For example, I know another local pet store that sell certain conures for $250, and also, many times lovebirds go for $25 per bird through private parties on online bulletins.

Would recomend THE PET SHOP, first time buyers or not, to come stop by whether your looking for a pet, pet food or items, etc. Whether you buy something or not youll be happy you stopped by. I have an African gray parrot and the pet shop and I have been friends for years. Wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff treats you like family and they know everything about just about every kind of critter alive. I suggest to anyone to visit the pet shop . and don't forget the rewards program.
