Worst experience buying an appliance here, from the order being written to the delivery and installation.First, the order was written incorrectly, so I ended up spending 2 hours in their customer service line. Then, another hour in the store while they were on the phone trying to activate my credit account. It took 3 people. Item delivered by total idiots, who stacked the dryer about 2-3 inches out over the washer. They INSISTED this was correct, despite my concern. I contacted LG, who assured me it was indeed installed incorrectly. I tried to call Home Depot the next day, but they wouldn't answer their phone. I went to the store, waited 45 minutes. Explained thr situation, the sales assistant just kept yelling at me for letting the installation people leave. I was like... what was I supposed to do? They insisted it was right. If the professionals can't get it right, what am I supposed to do? And I came back within the specified 48 hours. He told me he could get another appointment but couldn't make it for any specific date. Demanded that I gave him a phone number where I would 100% be guaranteed to answer as they would be coming in a half hour and charge me $79 if I wasn't there. But he couldn't even tell me if it would happen in a week, what day. So I'm supposed to sit around for days on end waiting for somebody to call me? No. He was mad at me when I told him this was impossible, that he was trying to help me, but I wasn't "working with him." They expect me to answer immediately, can't even nail it down to a specific day, yet can't answer their phone at all? Oh yeah, and he repeatedly asked me for my husband's phone number. I dont have one, shouldnt need one to buy a washer. Absurd. Finally, the manager came, straightened things out. Total spent another 2 hours at Home Depot. Had another crew come out to fix it. Let's just say it took 3 hours because they didn't know what they were doing. I had to look it up on YouTube for them, and I'm just some dumb broad. Somewhere in the process, my door jam was scratched up, I noted this on a form but have not been contacted about it almost a month later. And I know they know they saw it. I don't think it's really balanced correctly either, but I don't care. The whole experience was so awful, I just hate looking at my new laundry set or using it because it brings up this whole traumatic buying experience.Do not. Ever. Buy an appliance here. I hear that other places on Maui aren't much better now, but I'd chance any of them before coming here again as I can not phathom how it could be much worse. I got a fridge from their major competitor about 2 years ago with no incident whatsoever.

I’ve been a fan of this store for years and have recently preferred Lowe’s due to its better customer service. I live in Lahaina and just recently spent thousands to redo our home. Lia (I believe her name is in the windows dept) was very helpful, the customer service agents always are, but the rest that walk the floor really miss their mark. Dont even get me started with trying to get in touch with someone over the phone to get any information or file a complaint.The flooring department is the reason for this review. It was a simple 12x12 foot room that we wanted to carpet so we picked it out and awaited for a measurement to be confirmed and a quote. Let’s just say it’s been far from a simple quote and install so I’m just going to save my time and energy and go to Lowe’s or somewhere that doesn’t try to literally turn away business and send you the wrong quotes then decides to not give you a complete quote for the job further frustrating you.It’s sad that a few can ruin it for all who work so hard and take pride in what they do and where they work. I tried calling on 4 separate occasions and got through once to the operator then no answer in the dept I was trying to contact. So if you need things to grab and go, this place is fine. If you need any sort of communication and expect customer service, go elsewhere.

It’s your typical Home Depot but this one seems to have a fewer variety of things but still poor customer service.I’ve been to many Home Depot locations and this one has one of the worst customer service. Home Depot service is usually not that great but I’ve been to this one almost every day for a week and it’s more not good than good. The guys helping to load are really helpful but the people in the isles seem like you are disturbing them when you ask a question. I even think I caught the window guy taking a nap at the desk.

If it wasn’t for the fact that they carry Milwaukee, I’d never shop here. They stock the shelves with returned items without confirming that ALL parts are returned. When you do come to the store to get it addressed, the reps at customer service are both rude and incompetent. Also, never get a propane exchange here. You’ll be waiting for 30 minutes to unlock the cage just to tell you that they’re out of propane. The Lowe’s in town has better quality control, cleanliness and customer service.

Harassed on my way out of Home Depot in Kahului by security guard if the year Sean.Was not allowed to leave the store with the items that I had just purchased and had my receipt for without following him tk his back room do he could accuse me of a bunch of stuff that was untrue if he simply would have called MPD.Never in my life have I been hassled because I spent 2 hours in a big box store looking to purchase items and trying to do buisnes and be hassled about how long I was in the store.0 of the man's 5 alleged things I did were true, and everything I told the man when he rudley introduced himself outside the store was all truth.Do better home depot.... I can't believe i had to walk out of a store without items id paid for to have to come back and "pick them up" so Sean the security guard could "check the cameras and see if any if his conspiracy theories about people spending over 3 hours in the store were true.Obviously not if MPD wasn't called but was told I can't reenter the store for a year [likely out of spite because I have hik the same hard time he gave me making me drive back to town next day.... sad they let people like this operate or work for home depot.

TERRIBLE communication between the store and appliance delivery contractor resulting in errors and frustrations. You'd be MUCH better off going elsewhere and perhaps even paying just a little bit more for the peace of mind.

2024 update. 5+ years later they have automated machines for checkout but doesn't help the line at all. Customers are always confused where to stand, some cut, and the line is long. First review was a 4 star experience now it's a 3 star. Clean store and friendly staff. Prices a bit high than mainland and ordering online with direct shipping will get you better prices on some items. If you don't mind waiting.

Employees were not helpful at all! Asked several employees for help in lumber dept & they either said they were too busy or they couldn’t help because it wasn’t their dept. Then, at check-out the item was mis-tagged & was a more expensive item & the cashier made us go & get the PUC # for the item. Who trains your staff?

Customer service is lacking. It’s a very large store. Associates should be willing to show someone where to find something, not just tell them what isle. It reminds me of Walmart. Lowe’s has much better customer service.

Never answer their phone!!!!!!! Ever. If you're lucky after waiting 20-35mins If they do finally answer you ask a question they hang up because they dont want to help. Lazy!!! WORST Customer Service. They need an entire new Management Staff to fire & re-hire & get this store up to Par with all the other Home Depots!!! 0 Stars

Prices online are different from in the store and they will not honor prices from their own website.Many items in the store are either incorrectly tagged or missing price tags all together.They will not honor the price an item is tagged at on the shelf, only what it scans at.So essentially it’s a total guessing game as to what the prices of items here actually are. Extremely frustrating and unacceptable for a retail store.On the upside, they have a few employees that are helpful and get plenty Aloha- added a star to my original review just for those folks. ☺️ But, the store is perpetually understaffed, so if you need help from an actual human being be prepared to wait...

I've been asking different team members over the past week for helpfinding a specific vacuum and was told you did not have it and that I could not order it.. Today I came into the store and Don from the paint department told me exactly where to find the item I was searching for which was a Ryobi cordless vacuum. I returned the other purchases from Ace. You need more people like Don to help your customers please. Rock Star status today June 6, 2022

The staff is super helpful and friendly. And genuine! I needed a piece of plywood cut down, and I had six cuts. They are only supposed to do 5. The gentleman who ran outside and grabbed me a better cart said he would ask Bronson and see if he was in a good mood and would do 6 cuts. After meeting Bronson, I got the joke. This guy is super friendly, nice, and his cuts were really good. I had been going to Lowe's, but no more. This place, from start to finish, every employee I came in contact with...great and friendly service. 5 stars.

Like most places, it took a while to find someone to cut wire. Once started the experience was 5 stars. I believe the associate's name was Jose and he trained another associate at the same time.
