PETCO… Where the Pets Go!! (with their owners..lol)Was so excited when Maui got a Petco it just made everything convenient. However, we never felt compelled to get grooming done there -in fact, we swore we never would, because we didn’t think we could trust a chain establishment with this service. We have our own local groomer that we adore.However, that groomer is always fully booked, and after waiting several months, we decided to just “suck it up buttercup” and take our Husky to Petco for grooming.We were very happy with the results and got exactly what we asked for: Nothing more, nothing less.Our pup left happy, and, consequently so did we. BONUS: Our home & clothes have seen less shedding - WIN! WIN!

The ladies help signed me up for more discounts by adding a dog to my file. They did this all for me and let me know how much money I saved. They are always competent, smiling and helpful. I love this store.

I went in to purchase another bag of dog food. Inventory is great there. Cashier asked if I needed help carrying the food out to my car. I declined but, it was nice to be offered assistance.

The grooming salon is completely unpleasant and rude. Do not trust them to take care of your dog. They left both of my dogs on the table and walked away from it.I was fortunate to be able to grab them before they were hurt.Never again will I consider them as as people who care about animals.

Recently and unexpectedly a feral kitty decided I was her new dad. So I went to Petco in Kahului to make sure I had all the things. Everyone was so helpful. Casey helped me and another girl, whose name I forgot (when I find out her name, I will come back and edit. When I went to pay, I was rang up by Lydia, who was literally the sweetest person ever, and she encouraged me to sign up for a membership and saved me $80. Definitely a great experience for a nervous first time cat dad.

Very disappointed with Petco! We never had problems before except this time when we ordered a kennel at the store in kapolei with free shipping. I got an email saying order was cancelled with no warning or call or email as to why they canceled our order! Very unprofessional.

Review about dog/ puppy training classes: We took our puppy to the training classes with Kristen and she was AMAZING. She gave us so much useful information to use and practice with our pup, and since she only does 2 puppies per class your dog gets a LOT of individualized time. Can't say enough good things about her classes! Loved her positivity with training. We're planning to do the adult dog course with her when our pup is a little older 🐾 thanks Kristen!

My dog got razor burn and it ended up getting infected after being groomed at Petco in Kahului. It’s hard to find grooming on Maui, but it’s worth waiting for and NOT using Petco services. 10/10 would never recommend.

Bring your pets, and they will love you for it! Probably the best thing we have done all day. We followed the pack to PETCO to choose a new toy. Sniffed the rawhide conveniently placed at nose level, and mommy tried fitting us with Halloween costumes; my paws are tired, and now it's time to nap. Adam the store manager was EXTREMELY helpful the moment I walked into the door and with helping me with my dogs food purchase. I had a small issue and he was able and willing to fix it for me so quickly. I couldn’t be any happier and could tell my business and happiness was important to him. Knowing he was about to help me with my dogs nutrition made me feel like he really cared about my dogs. He gained a lifetime customer in me yesterday with his service and willingness to help me. I love Petco but especially love the customer service I received from Adam. His cashier Kristen was also super friendly, easy to talk to, had a big smile and was able to help as well. She is the type of person that should be working at all customer service businesses, as well as having store managers like Adam. Thank you Petco for hiring such great people to take care of us and our little loved ones/furballs. I’m so happy and satisfied.

Unbelievablely RUDE and haters. Have to bring my 2 pomeranians in the album shaved bathed and manicured I found a tick on one of them when I return to speak to the manager he told me I might have found it on the moon. He refused to let me speak to the groomers to have them inspect the animals. I have complained to corporate there are sending it to upper management incredibly horrible people and horrible experience I will never go there again. Go to Petsmart Or any other place for that matter I now have to take my dogs to the vet to have them inspected for ticks.

They used to be so great, but now, the wait with an appointment can be 20 to 30 min just to drop off your dog. Our last time there, 3 weeks after calling for the appt and finally had to go on line because they don't have a person to answer the phone, I was told by the new manager my shepherd is now too old and they don't accept dogs who are taking glycoflex or any supplements or any medications. So sad, the young lady who used to take care of both our Husky and the Shepherd for long time was so good. Both dogs loved going there.

These guys are OPEN!! The store looked kinda closed from outside and Google Maps does NOT wanna show this listing unless you look really hard but this location is alive and well! Thank GOD too because its the only place I can get the best smell blocking cat litter my fussy cat will also tolerate

The employees here and on their phones are the worst. Completely rude, argumentative and not helpful whatsoever. You have a question? Expect an attitude. You need help? Go to the employees in the back corner of the store chatting it up. After getting dirty looks, you finally have someone who can assist you. When the employee finally assists you, expect limited knowledge of the products they sell. I had to use Google to get my info and right infront of the employee who didn't even care to be there. Then after gathering over $1000 worth of items, expect a delay at the register since there is always only 1 employee at it. The rest are once again in the back chatting it up. 20 min later, you're all paid up and frustrated. Not the experience anyone should have.

We stopped by to pick up some last minute "souvenirs" for the cats before we left the island. Prices here are good for the island and staff were very friendly. The animals we saw looked well cared after and the staff woman doing a dog training near us was very professional and seemed like she was doing well.

If they paid their employees better they might be happier. Or perhaps the manager is a curmudgeon and he likes to hire grumps so he doesn't feel alone.It's a place that has stuff for your pet, for sure. I'm seriously thinking about ordering my needs online. My postal carrier is a fun person.

I have been a steadybpetco member for over a decade in previous states. All the staff knew me by name and had wonderful relations with them. Customer service at the Kahului store was extremely poor. Will not return. I will spend my money elsewhere from now on.
