We had an incredible experience. I made reservations for 3 keiki pony rides, the kids had a BLAST, the horses were very sweet. Ms. Addie was our "trail guide" and she was just perfect. So kind, knowledgeable about the ranch, and great with our kids. After their pony ride the kids were able to brush and feed the ponies. There's also a small petting zoo and bunnies.10/10 recommend to all your friends

We loved our horse back ride! The scenery was beautiful and the view from the top was incredible! The staff were all so friendly and helpful! I was really impressed by how attentive they were to the horses. Their horses have special diets, weekly chiropractor visits, days off, and they limit their daily rides. We’ve done many guided rides around the world and really appreciated the way Gunstock ranch cared for their animals. I would highly recommend any horseback rides with Gunstock ranch.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the hour-long horseback riding adventure at Gunstock Ranch in Oahu, and it was absolutely incredible. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me warmly and made me feel right at home. The scenery surrounding the ranch was breathtaking, with lush greenery and stunning views of the ocean. The horses themselves were not only well-trained but also incredibly lovable, adding an extra layer of joy to the ride. The entire experience was nothing short of amazing, and I would give it a perfect 10 out of 10 for customer service and overall enjoyment. I highly recommend Gunstock Ranch to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure on the beautiful island of Oahu.

Short version: If you’re are on the fence about going here, don’t be. The experience is well worth the money and you’ll leave with a huge smile on your face. The horses were great, the staff was better and we loved every moment.Wow. What can I say but WOW? My husband and I are new to the Hawaii and so far this is one of the best experiences we’ve had in our travels.First the staff is perfect. I have zero complaints. Our guide was named Isa and she really knows her stuff! I was continuously impressed by her knowledge of the plant life and the local history of ranch and even the island. She was very pleasant to speak to.My husband and I got to ride Raider and Skeeter. The horses were well mannered, well trained, and easy to ride. The trails we went on were gorgeous. Everywhere we went was beautiful and had a deep history that Isa (again, she was wonderful) filled us in on.The fish dish my husband ordered for our sunset dinner was delicious. I got the pasta and we ended sharing but I definitely liked his food more than mine 😂We will be coming back!

My husband and I did the sweetheart experience with advanced riding. We absolutely loved it! The horses were amazing and responsive. We had Aspen and Connor along with us and they both were great. Easy to talk to, relaxed and very knowledgeable with horses and the history of the ranch along with the nature of the area. The picnic was pretty cute and provided us with lots of food and drinks!We recommend anyone thinking of doing advance riding to make sure you're comfortable with horses, balance and heights.

Unforgettable experience! Tyler was a great tour guide and we throughly enjoyed our private sunset trail ride with a cozy picnic dinner by the fire… we even had smores! They’re all very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The horses are very well trained. You can feel how much everyone truly enjoys being there. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a true ranch experience from start to finish. They also have a small petting zoo area! Also thank you to Mango, Denali and Freddy for the great ride! We loved Gunstock!

10/10 recommend! From arrival to departure all staff members were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Love the way the ranch looks and operates, our guides Addie & Apache (please give him a rice crispy treat from us) were incredible. Addie was very knowledgeable throughout the ride and entertaining as well. I will DEFINITELY be recommending my friends and family to use Gunstock on future trips and will be returning myself.THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU

My husband booked a sunset dinner ride for our anniversary and we couldn’t have had a better time. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our guide, Lexi, was the absolute best! Very friendly, informative, and shared great conversation. Anela provided the food right before we got there. Everything was well planned and executed. The views are beautiful and the animals are the sweetest! Would go again!

It's a beautiful place with beloved horses, dogs and more. The riding is easy, horses well trained (also for those not yet familiar). We took a sunset ride and felt very well, enjoying the nature, the horses and a very friendly guide. Thank you for this experience and the Photos taken during the ride!

Best sunset ride ever!! Alice was so nice, so professional, and my horse Patriot was an absolute dream! The ride itself was amazing too - the perfect length, beautiful views, lots of great things to see (baby cows, wild pigs, beautiful trees and flowers, and of course the sunset!!) - a wonderful wonderful ride. Thank you, guys. Cannot wait to come back 🌺❤️

What an absolute delight! One of my fave excursions of our trip and really enjoyed our time with Talei :). It was beautiful and we learned so much about the history of the ranch. Boone and Denali were the best horse guides.We had a miscommunication about our reservation, but they were very accommodating. They booked us within minutes for a new tour.

We had a nice time on our on hour trail ride with my 2 teen daughters. I paid for my 2.5 year old son to ride a pony and he screamed in terror and refused to get on. Of course when I asked him if he wanted to he said yes. They, of course wouldn’t refund us. Which is sad since we were on a Make a Wish foundation sponsored trip for my ill daughter with limited funding. This would be my only complaint. They should consider changing this for small children as I’m sure this happens very often. They just keep the money and nothing in exchange.Update: I received a notice shortly after submitting my review that a refund was submitted which I truly appreciate. The woman I spoke with shortly after our ride said she did reach out to management and they told her no. I’m not sure who changed their mind but thank you.

Three of us friends had a really good time here the other day. We booked the sunset tour which was 1.5hr and totally worth it. We went up to the highest point of the ranch and the view was great. Our guide Leah was very sweet and professional and talked us thru everything we needed and wanted to know about the horses, the ranch, Hawaii and stuff before and during the tour. Would definitely book with her again next time we are here.

Had such a fun date night with my husband going on our horseback ride tour! I had Patriot and my husband had Joey. They were sun fun and playful the whole time. Our tour guide was so happy and cheerful and made the whole experience very pleasant! Definitely want to visit again!

My son had a blast feeding the pony. He didn’t want to leave. My girls had a great first time riding a horse. It was extended to 2hrs (not sure why but we will take it). Staff was very friendly and nice. Lots of parking available. For some reason gps in the car took us 15min away. So leave early to give yourself time to find it.

This adventure was the most relaxing event we experienced during our stay on Oahu. Our horseback ride took us up in the mountains and allowed us to see the most beautiful scenery on the island. Connor, our guide is very knowledgeable on culture of the island. This was my wife first horseback ride, but he ensured she was confident in horse, she loved it, thanks Connor. We will definitely revisit.

Amazing time with my grandson! And an amazing time at Gunstock Ranch! We did the one hour ride and it was well worth it. We had amazing views of the area, and Annie was amazing in sharing so much about the area. The houses were well trained and easy to ride at a nice pace. Getting there early was great as we had time to per some other animals they have on the ranch, including rabbits, goats, and cows. We plan to go back in the future with the other kids as they get older.

My wife and I did the Sweetheart tour. Shaylee and Taylor were our guides. They took care of us very well. They showed us some amazing views which gave us some wonderful photo ops. When we had our Sweetheart lunch, they gave us our privacy so we could enjoy the views and the meal romantically. Overall it was a wonderful time, even when it rained on us. I cannot forget to mention our horses. Mango and Boone were very well managed and helped us enjoy the ride.

(Shout Out to MaKenna and Shaylee).-The trail has a lot of scenic areas.-The horses are well trained(makes horseback riding that much easier for beginners).-They have a petting zoo!!Oh, and say hi to moonpie (what a sweetheart).😭♥️🐄

I recently visited Gunstock Ranch and had an amazing experience on their 1.5 hour horseback ride. The guides, Lillian and Mateo, were fantastic. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure that everyone in the group felt comfortable on their horses. The horses themselves were well trained and followed the trail with ease.While we were waiting for our ride, we had the opportunity to visit their free petting zoo. It was a wonderful addition to our experience. The animals were all well taken care of, and it was a fun way to pass the time. One of the goats even jumped on my back when I knelt down to pet it!Overall, I highly recommend Gunstock Ranch. Whether you're an experienced rider or a beginner, their guides and horses will ensure that you have a great time.

Our family had a lot of fun with our 1 hour ride. I wish we would have booked a longer ride. Our horses were friendly, calm and so pretty! The views during the ride are great and the staff are all so nice! We will definitely book through Gunstock Ranch if we are back on Oahu again. Recommending to our family and friends as well!

I'm visiting from Switzerland and went there with my friend for the Advance ride and had a blast! The crew was lovely. Aspen was really nice to us. Cricket, Bud and Waffles were really exciting to be around and deserve all the treats! Would love to come again, one of my favorite memories of my visit! Conor was also nice (but less cool than Aspen 😎)

Amazing time!!! My horse Mowgli was great.... He followed directions and was very mild mannered and tame. Our instructors/Guides Connor and Aspyn were AMAZING!!! Very friendly and informative. Emma was an amazing wrangler, and was full of knowledge. We took our 3 kids 2 of which are younger, and she was very kind and patient with them. The ranch was beautiful and horses are very well trained. Can't recommend enough!!!

Phenomenal experience. Super friendly people and great horses. The views are unbeatable. My daughter rides horses in Texas and desperately wanted to do a mommy-daughter trail ride with me on our vacation in Hawaii. I booked the “sweetheart” ride for us. The morning of the ride, our car rental reservation got lost and we were running late to get from Waikiki to the North Shore as I scrambled to find a car. I called the ranch and let them know we would be about 30 mins late and they were very accommodating. Huge relief because we thought we would have to cancel! Since it was a 2 hour event, they allowed us to ride for over an hour then take our food and drinks with us afterwards. It all worked out! We were so worried we would miss the entire ride, but the Gunstock Ranch team came through and made it happen. We are so grateful and impressed. My daughter, who was born on Oahu, wants to move back someday and work for Gunstock Ranch and their 50+ gorgeous horses ❤️ Thank you to our wranglers, Ocean and Brooke, for a wonderful time and excellent photos!

We had an unforgettable experience on the ATV sunset dinner ride with Jordan and Crew. The trail riding was exciting! The food and views were amazing. We stopped to feed the long horn cattle and calves on the way back. The entire evening was incredible and I recommend Gunstock Ranch without hesitation. It was the highlight of our vacation.

Emma was an amazing trail guide! She was super friendly and personable, had great info about the ranch and local plants. Told us the names of almost every horse we passed, which I loved. You can tell she really loves the horses and her job. She was so great that Gunstock should gift her Nitro when she leaves!!!
