Such a cute pet store! Lots of collars, leashes, poop bags, treats, bandanas, stickers, and keychains to choose from. I love how clean it is and friendly the workers were. I loved the play on words for all the snacks and toys! I’ll definitely be back, I love supporting small businesses.Only downside is parking!

Love all the humans that run this pet shop because they make it such a high quality experience for owners and their pets!!! They’ve helped me every step of way with my amstaff puppy and also super knowledgeable about food & nutrition. They carry the best treats that my dog goes insane for and I love that they’re all good for him too. Sidebar: they carry an amazing sticker collection that supports local artists and cute hair claw clips for humans .

Very knowledgeable team. They food quality are the best. I’ve try many brands, types, in petco, petsmart, etc for the best quality food for my cats but this store seem to offer what I was looking for. 100/10 highly recommend. My cats love all their foods, not some, ALL. You get for what you pay for. Can be a little pricey but it’s worth it for my furbabies. My cats fur is more shinier, nice coating, hyper, and FIT! They go from little chunky to FIT! Because I fixed their diet and even the one who lazy to drink water, now drink it ALOT OFTEN!

I LOVE THE PUBLIC PET!! The staff are so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and so respectful of the pets that come in there and their owners. I've been to this store several times already, and twice just to bring my kitten in just to say hi to the staff. They have a beautiful selection of local and high quality artisan pet products and food. Honestly, I bought a bamboo dog brush for my own hair just because the brush was so well made. 😜 I really love this store, but the only minor drawback is the street parking. That's just fine considering it's Kaimuki and very walkable if you have to park a few blocks away.

You also bring the aloha in through the service events such as adoptions and such that you host. I was recommended to The Public Pet by a training Client of mine. She had supplements(North Hound Life) that I haven’t been able to find or have shipped here without costing an arm and a leg. From my first visit I have been hooked and now recommended everyone looking for quality products and raw diets to come here. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable on the products they carry. We especially love the locally made single ingredient treats and chews. They have everything from food to leash toys treats for both cats and dogs!

I love specialty shops like this with quality selections of grain free and byproduct free food. I like to make sure my fur baby is eating as healthy as possible. This store also carries local art, and the owners and employees are charming, friendly, and know their stuff. Its cool that they keep their own pets in store on shift. I love meeting their dogs!

The owner Jordan is not just an animal lover to the core but he's an amazing business owner. He takes pride in his products and he is definitely more knowledgeable with his craft than any other person I've ever spoken with in a pet store. His products and store are high quality. We have been raving fans of Public Pet since their Instagram feed introduced us to Bogart. He gets all of his Raw Dog Hawaii food and must have accessories and goodies there.The owners and employees are the nicest people you will ever meet and they have a genuine love for you and your furry family. They are an awesome, positive force for the local community.

We started feeding our pup raw with the Bones & co. pet food they carry. We've gotten anything from treats, leashes, shampoo, milk bones, and bone broth here. I just trust that whatever I buy from them will be consciously sourced and as local/ fair trade as possible (you get what you pay for). Now that we're thinking of prepping our pup's raw diet ourselves, Steph has given us valuable resources to start transitioning. Love this place + their customer service. Highly recommend to get quality produx for your fur babies.

Friendly service. Great selection of leashes and bandannas for my dog. My dog loved the hard Himalayan yak cheese chews and deer antlers. I get my Raw Dog Hawaii food there and wild caught ahi treats. Great supporter of local brands.

Very cute and friendly staff. You have to have masks and enter and door is locked so knock on it and they’ll let you in. They had a lot of cute and unique pet items, and some collars I recognized on Amazon for a little cheaper tho.

Staff is super knowledgeable and very friendly! Parking is a little tight, but they do have a few stalls next to the building as well as a few street parking options outside.Pre-Covid, they also used to host events on the weekends. I'm looking forward to attending these events again when it's safe to do so, but I love that they still are open and just as helpful as ever!

I get my dog's local raw food and treats and here and she loves it. Jordan and Matt, the human owners,and Lola and Pfeiffer, the canine owners, are pretty awesome too. great weekend events like soul Saturdays with an animal communicator
