Easy to get in and out of and usually has everything we need. The only thing I would tell you to do is look at the prices online verse in store so you can do a price match and save on the items.The staff are very nice and are very good at helping you find what you are looking for. The drive up for pickup orders works pretty well too.

This is store location has great staff. The store its self is a bit dirty and showing its age. Unfortunately my grandson almost slipped on the floor due to water. The birds ( the green and red) little parrots looked sad and needed some toys and maybe some stimulation. There also was dead fish at the bottom of the tanks. My 4 year old grandson pointed out. That was 😔 sad. The food choices are good

I wanted to price match my items with the prices on the PetCo website. I didn’t have the app downloaded, so the associate let me know that the app makes it much easier to process at checkout and then proceeded to help me price match with her phone since I didn’t have the app (there was a long line behind us). Thank you so much for that education and tip! I used to be so hesitant coming to PetCo because I felt like I could get the same products but cheaper elsewhere. With the price match I’m making this place my new go to! Thank you to whoever helped me. The employees name is not on the receipt but this took place on 2/17 at 12:14p @ register 002. I appreciated your help and most of all for your patience.

I took my Pomeranian in to clean shave her paws, the long hairs on the top and hairs between bottom paw pads, and private areas. When they brought her to me? I was having a dog tag engraved, so I checked her paws, then went back to the groomer and asked him, can you clean out all this long hairs, it looks the same, he tells me I only said under the paws?! Wth are you kidding me? When you ask to clean the paws and make sure you get between the paw pads, you would think they would shave the whole paw! So he tells me very rudely!!it’ll cost more and to go wait outside , so I said never mind,. they were busy , so I feel they rushed and that’s why they did a horrible job!!! I’ll never go to this location again! This isn’t the first time they messed up!! Very upsetting and I tipped him before I checked?! Wasted money, bad customer service!!

The people at the Beretania Honolulu store were excellent and they had our food in stock. The rating is because Petcos site was so terrible that it would not show my rewards as loaded, even though they showed loaded on my phone. The manager was very apologetic but there was nothing she could do. It was clearly a system problem. I had $35 in rewards that could not be used. And this is not the first time this has happened. Your IT infrastructure is substandard.

The Betta Fish Are kept in INHUMANE CONDITIONS.The cups are WAY TOO SMALL.The water in said too small of containers, are ALWAYS DIRTY.The Betta Displays in all store NATION WIDE NEEDS TO BE UPDATED.BIGGER CONTAINERS AND DISPLAYS ARE NECESSARY for the Beta Fish.PETCO SHOULD BE ASHAMED of the slave trade of beta fish!Somebody call #PETA .*This store in particular, ( Honolulu) the employees are nice, but slow, li es are ALWAYS LONG. They often are behind in up keep of animals and their cages/ despay cages/ tanks etc.*Management seems too comfortable and lazy.FIX IT!

Never will go to petco ever again. The staff doesn't know the meaning of aloha spirit. We been thought the aloha spirit on oahu by our great parents. I can't understand no other way. First time ever going to a place and be treated with very bad vibes. NOT GOOD!!! BERETANIA ST.

The workers were friendly and attentive. However I needed a cat groomer and they have only one. There were no prices listed for grooming services for cats, but multiple prices and services listed for dogs. They also did not have the cat food my cat likes (he is spoiled) he really likes savory centers from fancy feast. So not having grooming services listed nor the food I wanted. Gives a 3 star rating.

Groomer Kim was awesome! The duration I was told was 2-4 hours and it took the full 4 hours which seems stressful for my pet but yet I wouldn’t want them rushing and not do the job right or hurt my pet so I guess the wait is necessary.

I didn’t realize this petco was tucked away next to Walgreens and right behind one of my favorite breweries. It’s a nice size, large selection, and plenty of parking. They have prices on par with other pet stores, so perfect place to stop if you’re in need or just want to spoil your pet!

This location is always staffed with the most helpful, friendly, and joyful employees. From the moment I walk in they greet me and acknowledge my presence. I always find what I am looking for as the store is clean and organized. I never have to look far for help as they are always looking for ways to assist/help. I always get more information than I expect from them. I could not have a pet without this store in my neighborhood providing for our every need within just a few blocks from home. My cats and I appreciate you all.

I shop at Hawaii Kai Petco and always have the best service. The Beretania store was lacking in customer service. The person that we asked to help us, led us directly to the item we wanted, but barely said a word. Just led us and pointed. She was nice, but it would be good to step it up a notch by even saying “here you go..is this what you needed?” She could have turned this encounter into an over and above encounter by just engaging with the customer.Check out was terrible. I was using a gift card and the clerk at the front (?I believe Eric??) was not helpful at all. I swiped my card and it did not work. He must have said “try again” at least ten times. I asked him if there was another way…and if he could manually enter it. He said, “try again.” Finally, I put the card on the counter in front of him. He picked it up, manually entered it, and all went thru fine. (I was very close to just asking someone else to help me.) Frustrating.Though the store is clean and well stocked, if I don't have to come back to this store, I won’t. I will try to do my business in Hawaii Kai where all the staff have been super personable and helpful.

I do not appreciate the prices in the store being higher then prices online. It takes forever at checkout to price match all the items, and I feel bad for the cashier. Why are you taxing me to shop in your store. If I order online for pickup an employee has to spend time fulfilling the order. Why should I pay more to pick up my own items off the shelf.

I take my Yorkie for grooming and Ruth is my preferred groomer. I recommend shorter turn around times so I don't have to wait so long to pick her up and take her on the bus to go home.

I had an appointment for grooming and had to wait with an anxious dog twenty minutes past the scheduled time with a store full of poorly socialized dogs. Once I turned my dog over to the groomer who was sweet as she could be, I had to take the invoice to the cashiers line to pay which was way understaffed for a weekend morning. Come on Petco, your other stores on island do way better.

I adopted my current cat from them. They have an adoption area but nowhere to actually interact with the pet you're considering adopting. The staff is friendly. Prices are a little high but they do match website prices. That can be handy. The staff is friendly and well informed. Cat services would be a nice addition (nail clipping, vets etc.)

Your scandals! Went to get my dog shampooed and nails done. Because I seen your sign on the counter that suggested the prices...It said it would cost $23.00, I thought, what a great deal, I'll do this monthly. Picked up my dog and was shocked to learn it was not $23.00, but was $50.99! I believe that's called bait and switch tactic!Wanted to get some paw balm, so I found it, $16.49! WOW, so I went on line on your store and the same product was only $9.00! What's going on? Every thing on your home delivery is way cheaper!And please explain to me why I shouldn't turn you in to the Hawaiian BBZB? And why I shouldn't flood Facebook and Instagram which my experience? Shame on you!

Nice store easy to get to lots of parking plenty of items to choose from and I here they price match if ur a member in there service they offer not sure what it's called but if ur signed up they will find what ur thinking of buying there online at another store for cheaper than they have it and give u the choose of buying it there at that other stores price or u can go to that store to get it or buy it from them at the lower price than they sale it there and I think that's a great service to offer people and it helps u save time and money and gas plus Petco is for people with pets and has lots of items that other stores do not offer the customer and with the price matching service it make it a no brainer for ur pet supplies . Ur one stop spot for ur pets needs .

Really enjoyed watching dogs come in getting shampoo with trim. Shabby and unkempt dogs leaving here looking like a champ. Sparkly, clean and happy. Total Cinderella vibe. Well done groomers!

Visited a few times. I thought it a good place to find lots of goodies for my dog. However, I found out this shop's service is relatively poor and sometimes can be very unreliable.I bought a bottle of hot spot spray(8 oz), one Well&Good cone collar(size S) and 2 packs of Good Lovin' beef bully bites(50% off), and I got charged 62 dollars. Apparantly I was over charged at least 10+ dollars but couldn't do anything coz I only found out after I got home without receipt. And no any purchase record/history on their app. I also found out the spray was much more expensive than what I could find on other shops....will never visit again!
