We picked up our 10 month old golden retriever Ollie from Kahana K9 a few days ago, we are very pleased with the training he learned! Our puppy was starting to pick up some bad traits at home that were likely reinforced by me. Ann did an excellent job at both getting Ollie set up with the basics, but also teaching my wife and I how to manage him so that he is, and will remain, a happy and confident dog.Ann’s facilities are excellent as well! Incredibly clean and safe for pups. We scheduled a bath on the way home the day we picked up Ollie, but honestly it wasn’t necessary. We are excited to board with Ann soon!

Ann Werstler and KahanaK9 is Professional, Dedicated, Talented, Enthusiastic and Caring. We entrusted her with our out of control Australian Shepard Puppy and in 4 days, our puppy stopped jumping up on humans, could sit, come when called and walk (pretty well) on her leash. We were astounded!Ann worked with us (the humans) as well as Makani (our puppy) so we could understand each other and continue the work when we were on our own.We were so pleased with Makani's transformation we scheduled home visits to compliment the work done at the KahanaK9 site (which is clean, gorgeous, spacious, safe and inviting). Ann scanned our home environment which include two very different dogs, in addition to Makani, and helped us understand changes we needed to make to improve our interactions and lives. We have three very different breeds of dogs and Ann knows all the varying needs of these breeds and enlightened us on the similarities and differences, which helped our household run much more smoothly.Makani is over a year old now and she and I have needed reinforcement sessions which Ann enthusiastically gives us. I slide back into old patterns and Ann kindly reminds me of the necessity of consistency, practice and high standards.We highly recommend Ann and KahanaK9's t and enjoy her not only as our trainer, but consider her a friend and part of our family!We thank you Ann, for helping this household run smoothly and be full of Love and Joy!

Bella was 10 month old when she stayed with Ann for 4 weeks. I was updated twice a day with pics and videos and received feedback and comments on her progress. She received excellent care and lots of training and guidance to make her an awesome dog. Ann worked with her problems we had identified and Bella continues to adhere to the behavioral changes made for the better. Bella receveived lots of attention due to the low ratio of dogs Ann keeps at one time. Bella was also well socialized and with other dogs.She received additional treats, love and play time while there and we were both so happy we found Ann. It was a win win for all of us and I highly recommend her and will use Ann services next time again.

We had recently reached a breaking point with our rescue dog Bandit. He was defiant and had lots of behavior that needed correcting and it was beyond our control. From our initial phone call with Ann my partner and I were blown away. With a few simple questions she knew right away what behaviors he was exhibiting and the reasoning behind it. She was knowledgable about his breeding and confident that she could help us. We boarded our dog for 7 days and Ann had amazing communication throughout Bandit's stay. She sent us updates on his training as well as information for us to use when he returned to us. Through these updates it was evident to us that Ann is not only knowledgeable, communicative, but she truly cares about our dog's well-being. We definitely recommend using Ann's services whether it be for training or boarding. It's rare to find someone with expertise and kindness who values ethical practices. I adopted a dog about 3 years ago and after a week or two realized why they had put her up for adoption. She was pregnant. She was a loving dog but very skittish and didn't obey commands. In fact, she would go the other way when you were trying to get her to come. After spending time with Ann, my dog has a new personality. She obeys so nicely and even seems to be very proud of herself for her good behavior. What an amazing change for my household and way less stress in those situations where you need your dog to listen and obey. My dog seems much happier too. I highly recommend Ann for great results and a loving experience for your dog. Another really fun part of leaving your dog at Kahana K9 is the videos you receive daily showing the interaction and progress your dog is making during their stay.

I am a first time dog owner and I was overwhelmed with internet information. Ann was recommended to me and I’m SO GLAD I called! After meeting my dog, Sunny, she was able to give us specific advice according to Sunny’s personality and disposition. She was also able to give me great advice on how I should act/react as the human to better train Sunny. Ann is very responsive and more than willing to share her abundant knowledge. We have utilized several different kennels throughout the years, but none come close to the quality and care provided by Ann at Kahana K9. This is, by far, the cleanest and most well-kept kennel that our dogs have ever stayed. She limits the number of dogs she boards, so each dog gets personal attention and play time in her beautiful fenced, grassy yard every day. It is a calm, safe, happy environment; this is the only place we’ve boarded where I have absolutely no worries about our dogs while we are gone. Each day, Ann sends videos and photos of the pups playing; she believes that a happy pup is a happy human! It is evident that Ann truly cares about the dogs in her care, and she takes well-earned pride in her work. I highly recommend Kahana K9!

Ann also had rude assumptions about service dog training with no knowledge of our situation and dog. She didn’t know basic therapeutic training such as DPT. I had scheduled a boarding/ training while we leave town and we spoke on the phone and I was told to get bortatella vaccine which I did and then called her back after three weeks. I was met with two word responses, zero customer service skills and then demanding more vaccines which were administered by the breeder and myself.The real issue is she had no ability to even respond to me or give me other options or an apology for canceling the stay just a couple weeks before travel and no clarity about the vaccines needed in the first place and how they had to be administered. She also blocked me on Facebook for no reason at all.As a pet care professional myself, I’m shocked by the level of maturity and ability to communicate exhibited by Ann. If you are looking for customer service skills and reliable pet care and training, would be good to look elsewhere.I’m relieved she showed her true colors before leaving my precious puppy with her.

We were recently adopted by a small energetic dog. He ran through our pasture for a few months before he decided we could be trusted. Although adorable, he tended to be skittish, untrusting and refused to walk on a leash.We decided we needed some help. Luckily we found Kahana K9 and the reviews were glowing. After a few conversations with Ann we took Lil Dude to begin training. We were anxious as we didn't know his history and didn't want him to feel abandoned again at such a young age.Our fears were unnecessary as we received daily videos of his progress and our new fear was that he wouldn't want to come back. The facility is absolutely beautiful, very clean and harmonious. He was interacting with the other dogs and adored Ann.Now home, he walks easily on the leash and interacts much better with other people.We are not only pleased with the results, we'd feel very comfortable sending him back to his new favorite vacation spot for a refresher course in the future.Thank you Ann!

We have sent our 6 month old puppy Charlie in training with Anne for 7 days. Prior to the training Charlie was full of energy and little mischievous , digging plants, never walked with us with or without leash, jumping on people and on furnitures etc. Since we picked her up from Anne’s we were in shock how well Charlie behaved and how calm she has been.Anne is a very diligent trainer, we get so many training videos daily, her dog condos look really cozy, clean, well sheltered and well shaded. Through Anne’s regular communications with, we could see Charlie’s progress, and lots of tips for us to help maintain Charlie’s progress, and clearly Anne’s job is a passion and she loves working with the dogs.

Ann was exactly what we needed when it came to our sweet and unruly 1 year old dog. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs boarding or training. She has a beautiful property with really nice dog houses. We left Charley with her for a few days and when we got her back we were finally able to take her on walks without her pulling the entire time. Charley also learned a few commands in just 3 days. Ann is worth every penny!!

We took our 7 month old King Charles Cavalier to see Ann as he was having some behavioral issues that we wanted help with. Ann was amazing! Our dog spent five days with her and in that time she sent us multiple videos for how to correct him and helped address all of our questions. She is truly a dog whisperer!

Ann is excellent!! She helped our 7 month old Labrador Retriever and really worked with him to adjust some of his behavioral issues. We now joyfully go for daily walks without the dreaded leash pulling. Cheddie doesn't jump on us or friends anymore...yay!! He comes when called. Ann gave us the tools to continue to create a happy pup. Ann is also great about sending updates and videos daily, which was very helpful to us. We will definitely be bringing Cheddie back for a "tune up". He loved it there. Ann's place is beautiful and the kennels are super clean, cozy and it's very safe there. We highly recommend!!

Ann Wrestler was the best thing that happened my dogs and I. She came highly recommended and did not disappoint. I have 2 female american bully's that needed some behavior work. I called for dog obedience information on classes for my 10 month puppy who is registered as a service dog she told me “your dog is not a service dog and not being trained as a service dog” excuse me so why not offer provide your service unless you don’t work with service dogs ? say that ! completely disrespectful ANN who runs this is extremely unprofessional rude questioning me about me and my dog who she never met which is what I call for training asking information cannot believe ? why are you so judgmental ANN ? could be a kind decent trainer or fair business person who treat another human being or animal is this way or manner to hurt or offend the owner. She deserves our sympathy and not our business! Thank you K9 good luck

I really appreciated Ann's calm and centered approach to training. She worked with my new pup and helped to calm and focus her. She then worked with my older dog (and me) on unlearning some bad habits. I had a great experience and will probably be back for some refreshers. Five stars!

Highest praise for Ann’s experience and steady methods. We left our 5-month old pup, who was becoming increasingly bratty and “doing his own thing,” and 5 days later we picked up a calm and attentive boy whose obnoxious behaviors were now absent. The most important thing, of course, was that she showed us how the behaviors were the result of our inconsistency and poor leadership, and how to correct this.It’s a beautiful, clean and safe place, and dogs and their humans are lucky to have Kahana K9.

As a breeder of French Mastiffs (120-145 lb dogs) I know the absolute importance of proper training. I have had my share of trainers and Anne is far above and beyond them. She truly has a gift with dogs, and always amazes me with her ability to read individual dogs and their needs. My dogs love her and feel confident in her care. We took our beloved Australian Shepherd, Valentine, here for a week of training with Ann. Valentine was needy, aloof, and only listened when she felt like it.After a meeting with us, Ann totally diagnosed the issues we were having and put together a unique training program for the 5 days and nights with valentine.Ann texted us at least 3 videos a day that demonstrated how to command valentine so when we got her back we could reference the videos and apply the techniques.Not only is Ann intuitive and experienced with all types of dogs, you can tell your dog will be loved when they are in her care. Ann radiates positive energy and passion for animals and I have never felt more comfortable leaving Valentine somewhere.The facilities are IMMACULATE. The dogs each have their own "condo" where they sleep. It's basically a large pen with their own dog house and bed/pillows. We toured them prior and there was ZERO smell (other than fresh mountain air), and as clean as if a human was staying there. It was by far the cleanest well kept dog border I've ever seen.

Ann was absolutely amazing with our dog Rupert. We couldn't get him to go on walks or even off the driveway. He was always so afraid of people/noises. After only sitting with Ann for a little over an hour, Rupert was walking down the street passing numerous people. I couldn't believe how instant the results were. She is very intuitive with what the dogs needs are and is willing to do what she can to help. She even made a house visit to help us since we weren't able to go to her. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone that wants to help their dog but may not have the knowledge or tools to do so.

Unbelievable!After 5 days with Ann, my 5-1/2 month old pup has attained enlightenment. No more spazzing! Her consistent method of creating boundaries and establishing a functional dog/human dynamic is 100% effective.
