This restaurant has to be among the best on the Big Island. Authentic wood fired pizzas, Calzones and simple but delicious home made pasta dishes with a very accommodating chef that was happy to customise meals to our requirements. The service is very friendly and welcoming. This restaurant is located in a small town on the North Coast and is well worth stopping at. The opening hours are a little restricted and was only open for lunch when we visited.

We arrived yesterday for lunch and were seated at the bar by a very nice server. The lady behind the bar, however, would not even look at us for several minutes. The nice server, Aiza, came behind the bar, took our drink order and then had to go tell the other lady to make our drinks. Meanwhile, another server comes to help and goes straight to the back and isnt helping Aiza at all. We felt bad for Aiza since the restaurant was filling up and she was the only one wanting to work and was running circles around the other lady who only seemed to want to sit and roll silverware. My husband ordered a salad which was good and I ordered a wood fired pizza which was also very good. Aiza rocked, but we were very disappointed that we were blatantly ignored by the first lady. Not even a greeting whatsoever. We probably would have had more beverages if we could have gotten service from the lady behind the bar. We come to Island of Hawaii often but probably will not return to this restaurant.

Wood fired pizza, wine and peroni on draught, good pasta. The calzones are interesting, never had one quite like it. Hours are for early birds, so best for lunch or a very early dinner. No live music anymore, but the stage is still there. Good place to grab a pie and a pint. You can call ahead to make a reservation for a larger party. There are not a lot of options in Honoka'a town, so we have to enjoy what we can!Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap space available out in front.

The waitress could not have cared less that we were there. It was rainy and cold and the front door was wide open and she seated us right in the path of the giant breeze that flowed from the front to the back of the restaurant. The singer was good and the food was really really good. Too bad the service was not

Wonderful Italian food restaurant in the heart of sleepy Honoka'a between Hilo and Waimea towns East Hawaii Island; very inviting, stimulating environment and lively atmosphere. Felt right at home. Sweetly hospitable, worth any special occasion and perked up casual blends right in. Love this unique and special place. Went for my birthday in March with my fiance. Had a wonderful dinner. Our server was Deja (not sure if that was her name but that's what the check said). She was fantastic. Excellent timing and service. The drinks were delicious. I got the special pasta and was so very tasty. My fiance has a severe nut and seafood allergy and it is near impossible to find a restaurant that can cater to it let alone take it seriously. This was the first restaurant we've been to in years that he was able to get something other than a salad without having to worry about it and had no reaction to his pasta dish. It honestly made my birthday great, will definitely be back.
