Their bread is the best on the island for sourdough. They have tons of varieties and their milk bread is great too. Their pizzas are fantastic though. Amazing Neapolitan style pizzas with great local toppings.

We’ve been buying their bread since they first began. Best sourdough around. They use organic flour, which is important to us. We love that they use rye in some of their breads, gives it a lovely tang.. I make pizza with their sourdough pizza dough. Their pastries are amazing too.

Awesome sourdough bread. My favorite is the breadfruit/turmeric, pan toasted then smothered with lilikoi butter (fiesta in my mouth) Their croissants are also really good.

Everything I have tried is beyond fantastic. Olena-ulu-sourdough, croissants, cinnamon rolls, and monkey bread are my favorite. Oh and their flatbread pizza too. I have been enjoying their fresh baked goods for months now but I have discovered a new favorite. I have to comment on their NOODLES. There is nothing like freshly made noodles and Sundog Bakery makes the best noodles I have ever tasted!

Best sourdough in town, best croissants on island, bakers are grade A people and they use tons of local ingredients. What more could you ask for? Definitely worth checking out, I've been buying bread from these folks for 2 years and its always on point.

Everything from Sundog has been so delicious, fresh and super high-quality. I really appreciate how much they incorporate locally-sourced ingredients (like eggs, fruit, cheese, and herbs) and traditional techniques for their loaves. The sourdough is outrageous, with beautiful cell structure and crusty outsides. The early-morning service window is adorable and Wes and Sara have always been friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. Looking forward to my next visit!

Loved their sourdough bread! Also tried their monkey pull-apart bread, croissants, and chocolate pane and all were very good. Nice friendly people they do a twice weekly popup. Definitely recommend a visit and suggest you pre-order so you get what you want.

Yes, yes, yes, you need Sundog Bread. Legit baked goods. After trying their stuff roadside and through the Adaptations CSA box and becoming a fan, I heard the baker was successful in the culinary world before making the switch to island life like the rest of us. Chicago is one of my favorite food places, so this makes a lot of sense! Sour dough is naturally fermented and wood fired. They always have something new to offer, too. Best baked goods on the Big Island by a mile. Enjoy!

Was visiting Kona for 3 weeks and found this local small bakery. They bake some very good quality items. Enjoyed very their deli rye bread, cinnamon monkey bread, chocolate croissant, palmier, chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies. I will be back on my next visit and happy to support this local small business!

Excellent food! They catered a wedding I helped work and the food i got after was AMAZING! THe baked goods were amazing, the catering was phenomenal (the ahi cucumber cups are especially stands out). The only complaint is that the fish and steak were cooked together and seemed to mingle flavors slightly. Everything else was outstanding and I highly recommend checking them out! Truely great people!
