Our Giant Schnoodle is a handful! He hates his feet being touched. Every groomer has to get involved when dealing with our crazy boy! They are all so kind, professional, gentle, and caring! It is amazing to watch. They have the patience of Job!!

Owner trimmed my dogs head in anger and it was a terrible job. I think this woman is greedy and not that concerned about customer's.Went to desk and asked if I could have my dog's face trimmed. I was told it would cost $50 for grooming. I said I didn't want the full package. Told, sorry. I went to the counter at Petco and clerk told me to call the owner. I called and we negotiated $25 for face and nails. I went back and the original person who refused to do it, turns out to be the owner.She then informed me that the face was only eyes to nose and sides. Face was not the forehead or ears. I had originally told her face meaning forehead, chops, ears and visibly touched my dog where I wanted her trimmed. She did not correct me then.She had sort of pushed the door to the back, a bit hard when she took my dog.When she came out, I paid and did not tip. She visibly was upset and pushed door hard. Then her assistant came out and handed me my dogs tags. She had not put them back on my dogs collar. My dog is 18# and small.Karen, how can money be more important than a happy customer?Safeway calculates what a customer spends annually at their store. I spent $25 and will not spend anymore.

My first job living on Big Island for college. The store has nice hygiene , all products are top quality , service there is debatable. If you go to Cedric you'll get excellent information on fish and other aquatic knowledge best worker there, he's an aquatic specialist. Turn over rate there isn't high but not many people stay there because of the store manager is not a very friendly person. He's very strict but very aggressive. He's quick to judge and he's nosy, he tries to know everything about his employees even go from employee to employee to get to know a new hire they just hired. Very indiscriminate towards employees that he doesn't know. He gets fed up quickly and very short tempered. Would recommend going to another manager for returns or better service he lacks respect and patience for people who want the best in service. But you know john will be john.

We took our little angel here to be groomed, however when my husband got home with her he noticed blood on his hands. It was from her ear, they cut her ear really bad and didn't say a word to us!!!!!!! I was so disappointed in them for not letting us know. So we will not be going back period.

Staff are very kind and friendly. Ensure pet is well taken care of and price point for services offered is satisfactory. Will always use them for my pet's grooming needs.

Only open for a little over one year, PetCo in Hilo has become a frequent stop for many animal loving locals. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff, Saturday adoption campaigns, grooming service, great and varied inventory. Parking can be a bit of a problem, but that's the mall's fault. I learned that PetCo returned $75,000 in donations to the Keaau Animal Shelter recently! PetCo also does not carry anything with artificial anything. Only the best for Hilo pets!

Large national chain, seems to be the go to place for a lot of people which causes a shortage of products. The last two times we went there they were out of what we were looking for (wormer and a cat carrier).This is Hawaii: it takes 3 weeks to get a container from the mainland!

Decent selection, for larger dogs, does not cater well for small dogs. Why don't pet stores have carts with solid bottoms so you can take your pet with you comfortably?

They don't actually wash or clip your dogs nails and made us pay for it. They used to be good and most of the staff at Petco are nice except the store manager
