A really great bookstore with both new and used books. You can call down and let them know you want to trade in your books and how many you have to bring down. They won’t take all of them, especially if they already have the books in question. They do have a limit on the number of hard cover books they take in so be aware of that.The variety of books they have is fabulous. From non-fiction to fiction. Foreign language books to Hawaiian culture and history. Every time we go down, I always find something new to take home with me. Instead of going to Target or Walmart, check our local bookstores to see if they have the books first. You’ll be surprised what you can find.

I really enjoyed stopping in this bookstore. Great selection, and the environment was so warm, friendly and relaxing! I loved seeing photos of Jesus and Yogananda behind the cashier desk 💜 that was a sign that I was in a good place! I’ll definitely be back 💫

Lots of books, arranged by subject ana author. Most books are in like new condition, and reasonably priced. Stopped in to pick up a book for the plane, and found exactly what I was looking for.

This book store has a wide variety of collections. It is a block off the main street in downtown Hilo. When you want to browse books during your vacation, this place is a good fit. If you are local, it is also a fun place to browse. I am very happy to find this book. It was a bit of a surprise, but I was looking for this one! I recommend stopping by enjoying being surrounded by books! You will find some interesting books!

It's really cool to have this store in town. Especially since I like to read actual books. Tons of books on every topic. Every book I've purchased was in great shape. Great location downtown. Grab some reads and then some food.

A quaint, well-stocked used and new bookstore! I had a smile on my face the entire time I was in the building. The owner was running the register herself and was extremely pleasant. You can feel the passion for books weaved into the shelves of the store. A good selection of Hawaii-specific books as well. Must visit!

This place is awesome. The lady (I guess she owns the store) is absolutely lovely. There are some bookshelves with books about Hawai'i and also novels, thrillers, etc. whose story is set on Hawai'i. Just what I was looking for!

Always have a great time there. I was looking for a book in a specific subject area. Unfortunately, because they specialize in book buying, they didn't have what I wanted. Otherwise, I still recommend this store.

The lady who runs the store is friendly & very helpful. Pros: Good eclectic selections & service. Cons: Buying prices are VERY low for buy & trade.*If allergic to dogs maybe avoid because an adorable dog is there w/worker.

Great selection of new and used books. They’re a bit pricey but don’t forget they have to pay for rent and wages. I love their selection of fiction books. I always buy something whenever I go inside.

Not a bad selection, but the older lady behind the counter approached me in the corner of the business/finance section and asked me to lift up the back of my shirt which made me incredibly uncomfortable.

This cute book store in Hilo is a gold nuget. It is a block from the major tourists street. But you will find a (or many) book that you like, or you have been looking for. I found one! If you have spare time, please stop by. If you are a book lover, please plan a lot of time to browse this book store!

One of my favorite book stores in the world. Great selections in the realms of spirituality, and nature writing. The other sections I'm sure are great too, I just haven't checked them out yet! They also play peaceful music and are always cheerful with customers--they've really created a great space.

Great little shop in Hilo town with an excellent selection of used books and DVDs. The Hawaiiana and Pacific Islands sections were of particular interest to me. And an odd side note: it smelled really nice inside haha

AMAZING.I went there like a week ago when I was in Hawaii for a family trip.I bought 6 manga books. FOR 25 DOLLARS.LIKE WOW THATS SO CHEAP FOR MANGA.The worker there was so nice and kind!I’d definitely visit there a lot if I lived in Hawaii.Also there is a very good selection of books! 10/10 <3

I love this locally owned bookstore! Mostly used books with some new books sprinkled through various sections. From guidebooks about local animals and plants to paperback mysteries and fiction for beach reading, there is something here for everyone! Also a wonderful children's section with a a separate area specifically for Hawaiian children's books. I always find something interesting to read.

The owner Barbara is very friendly and was able to get my books sold to her for store credit towards books I actually wanted to read. Thank goodness for a place like this in Hilo!

The person I spoke with upon entering the store was a gracious helpful person. I found a book within minutes of looking. Why 4 stars? The book cost over $14.00 including tax. I felt this was a bit steep for a used book. Oh yeah; another reason: I asked about the trade program they have and she was quite specific. Book in good condition with the cover. Which I have yet the book I just bought had no cover. Odd.
