The only Stihl dealer in the area. Good selection of brands. Very helpful staff. My only critique is that prices are somewhat high - this is true, however, for all stores in the Kohala area and is reflective of the exorbitant cost to rent or own a home in this community.

Customer service the way it’s supposed to be done; attentive & informative but never pushy. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a great selection have saved me many trips to Kona or Waimea.So much good stuff, I’m always planning my next project. They’ve seen me through several successful home improvement projects, and their tips, advice and encouragement helped me see that I don’t have to be intimidated, I really can do most of this stuff myself. Love this place!

I discovered Sunshine True Value about six months ago. Every time I visit the store, the staff always go out of their way to help me find the product I am searching for. They have not disappointed me during my many visits to their store.

I very much appreciate the decent selection of auto care products they carry. Its no AutoZone. Cannot get parts. But they are a hardware store. Considering larger competitors like lowes and home depot carry virtually no car care products, it seems there really isn't any expectation for a much smaller retailer like sunshine to have a full isle for car care. But out here in north kohala its about 25 miles to the nearest auto parts retailer. So i really appreciate the accommodations.

The problem with Sunshine Hardware is they offer just about everything you might need, saving you many trips to Kona or Waimea.. Additionally, the service is so pleasing, and knowledgeable, that you find yourself wanting to visit several times every day. It gets expensive - however it's totally worthwhile - try it, you'll find it first-class❗

It's the only really good hardware store in the area so it doesn't want for customers. The staff will assist you and they are friendly. There's a diverse range of products to choose from and they will give assistance if you want.
