Topic: Tamuras east side. Let me take you on one journey to da east side Tamuras: your first impression and you will be greeted to a OCCC commissary look with vomit lookin famous poke. Some employees are nice but the majority are bad attitudes (sorry doesn’t balance in favor), the floor and store conditions are filthy and more hauna the farther to the deep parts of the store. Health inspector please make one pop visit, I don’t even wanna know what it’s like behind the closed doors. Mainland people: Go 10 mins up the street to the next big grocery store

This is a nice little grocery store on the North Shore area of O'ahu. They have just about any food item that you are looking for. And there is also a decent amount of Oceanic type of foods here.They have a Poke type of counter where you can order what you want from their display cases. The prices looked very reasonable.The store on the inside does look a good bit dated, but do not let that dissuade you from shopping in there.The service is very friendly.

Portagee guy at fish counter yelling at customers to “get inside the store because the flies…”very thankful there are s a supermarket all the way in da’ country, however, no act all anykine’ because you know we no moa’ choice ‘for shop…?.. the cashiers look depressed unhappy to help you…?sorry, You guys,maybe this pilau’ attitude is trickling down from management ?.. sad because this is the only store besides Longs ..the closest supermarket is Foodland Laie and they close on Sundays.. otherwise, drive to Pupukea Foodland or Kaneohe..😪

Quick stop to pick up snacks and some beverages. It was a nice store with good selection. Friendly and locals shopping. Always a good sign. Give them a try.

This is a nice small grocery store on the North Shore. They actually sell beer and wine here, which is hard to find in the Laie area, I assume due to the Mormon influence in town. Prices and selection of food and drinks are all reasonable and to be expected in a small grocery store.

Closest groceries to the house we rented. Heavy fish smell from the entrance where the fish counter is located. Should have purchased more at Costco even if we gave the extra away it would have been way more cost effective.

One of the only options nearby, but they had a decent selection of food and drinks at fair prices (by island standards). Do not expect this to be like grocery stores on the mainland where you have a half dozen brands/flavors/options for any one item...they have lots to pick from, but only one or two choices for any one thing. Coffee creamer in particular was a struggle.

Super nice to have the things I want, close to home and convinient to grab and go. They're open pretty late too, which is nice cause the only other thing in the area is 7-11. Unless you drive elsewhere for groceries.The staff are friendly and cordial. Everything is nice and I've always found what I wanted. I recommend grabbing a poke bowl if you want, or do what I do, and just grab an amount you want, go home to cook rice, and make your own poke bowls 😂 or whatever is easier.The prices of those have been changing soo much in the last few years. I think the total prices for the 'same' order has changed at least 3-4 times on the last few years, but not because eof market price. It's been because of how they serve it and price the product? I think whatever works out is good. Can't deny that the sunrise one is good imo, and I'd always get that or try something new. Also, the marlin one too. But buy toothpicks if you get those, cause the meat loves to get stuck in your teeth lol although super good! That sesame seed oil taste mixed with other flavors 😇

Interesting store. I came for the poke but unfortunately the poke counter was closed at 11am on a Saturday. No hours posted. Prices of some items were competitive with Honolulu store prices.

Worked in a pinch on a Sunday night. The town we’re staying in is operated by a lot of LDS church folks, so Sunday grocery shopping for this tourist was a no go. The chicken I got tasted just fine. Glad they were open.

Great small grocery store with an excellent produce section. They stock just about everything you expect in the larger supermarkets, just not as much variety. Cashiers are friendly, the store is clean, and we'll organized.

Best big shop in the area. Can be busy, sometimes. When I'm in the area each year, it's surprising how often I end up at Tamuras to get something I can't find elsewhere. Really wish they had prepared sandwiches and other easy, wrapped food for my day trips and hikes.

This local grocery store has a surprising selection of fresh veggies and fruits. Well stocked with a clean isles and shelves. Easy to navigate the different sections and no line at checkout. Very mellow, very Hawaiian!

This is the best local market on the windward side of the island and their POKE is hands down the best around. Their poke is fresh and their sauces are much better than other markets. They seem to have a ton of hard to find items in the store as well. Oddly, they are fast with their service and well stocked. I wish they offered more produce but that is a small detail easily overlooked and not a major issue in my mind.

Old country store, smells like fish and looks like a warehouse. Very limited selections. But the poke is fresh and good, quality produce, the staff are friendly, and plenty of unique local and Asian treats. Locals shop here.

Meat is not great quality. Discolored ground beef, and chicken, and the temps should be checked by someone regularly, runny blood and juices from the packaged meat spreads germs and can lead to some overall health issues.But there are some good things about this place as well. Poke is awesome. N prices are great.
