Quaint local community store with a kitchen that serves up some great local dishes. Drove in from town to see how it stacks up. We weren't disappointed. Got the garlic Mahi Mahi with garlic shrimp and it was delicious! I was too full for butter mochi but will try it next time. Cute store with a huge variety of drinks.Parking: Huge lot full of parking.

I don't write many reviews, but I knew I wanted/needed to write one to let the world know about this place. My wife and I stopped by on our way to the PCC from kauloa ranch. I noticed it has 4.8 stars, so we'd thought we give it a shot. OMG, the food was amazing. After our vacation, my wife and I both agreed that this was the best food we had on our 7 days on oahu. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Amazing food! Everyone here was welcoming and accommodating. I knew the food was going to be wonderful as soon as the chef said "you eat with your eyes first" and opened the carry-out container to reveal beautifully prepared coconut shrimp. Everything was delicious!

We have heard about Kaya's Kitchen and have driven by it many times. This time, we stopped in, and we were pleased. All the items on the menu looked delicious, and it was hard to make a decision, but we decided on the 'porco moco' special. Like a loco moco but with the addition of pork. It was very ono and well worth trying. I would suggest stopping by Kaya's Kitchen if you're in the area, and if you're not, take a drive over to the windward side and get some of Kaya's food. You will not be dissapointed. We will be back to try the rest of the menu!!

You pretty much have to go into the store to order food. Ordered loco moco. Pretty good but nothing special. Staffs were friendly. You have to purchase 5 bucks or more to use a credit card though.Angways loco moco tasted like loco moco lol also purchased buttered mochi which was pretty amazing! Def recommened this. Also you can eat outside where sitting areas are.

The best food that we had in our stay in Hawai'i, Surf & Turf was amazing in any kind of way! Far for any kind of fancy/expensive Honolulu's Restaurants. If possible, just take away and go to Punalu'u Beach Park, this will feel like the best restaurant in Oahu!Of course, take care of all the trash afterwards and keep everything clean 🤙🏻

Ordered their steak and shrimp plate. Not bad. Steak was cooked just the way we asked and seasoned was on point. Butter garlic shrimp was okay. Just seen the reviews on this place and Im guessing their loco moco is bomb. Need to come back and check that loco moco out sometimes. 🤙🤙

The breakfast was amazing! I had a cheese omelette that also had spam and smokies in it. I spent the extra $1 to get my rice to be fried and it was well worth it!Also; the service was excellent!

The best authentic Hawaiian food on the island.Hardworking Hawaii: Kaya’s Store in Punalu’u celebrates 75 years in businessI was blessed to meet the two young ladies running the store.. Mrs. Beverly. She is the sweetest lady.. Such positive energy.. Awesome plate lunch. They made the news.PUNALU’U, Hawaii (KHON2) — A convenience store in Punalu’u is celebrating 75 years in business.Beverly Hashimoto is the second generation owner of Kaya’s Store. Her father started the shop in 1946.“He grew up in a poor family,” Hashimoto said about her father. “That’s how he. All he knew was to work hard, He got up early, and came home late.”The family business has changed a lot over the last 75 years.“This used to be a butcher shop. [My father] used to carve meat,” Hashimoto said about a small corner of the shop that is now a kitchen that serves plate lunches.Parking: It's wide open

I ordered the Ahi with half wasabi and half chili sauce on it and it was delicious! Generous portions and came with macaroni salad plus rice and a little cucumber cup. Would definitely eat here again many times. Oh, the pricing is legitimately low compared to other places on the island.

Every year, when we vacation, our first stop on the way to Haleiwa is ALWAYS Kaya's kitchen for some Loco moco!! It always hits the spot! We love having our lunch at the picnic tables, watching the hens and chicks running around! Good spot for local grub. Prices are just right and we look forward to what is now a tradition our first day of our trip!!
