We rented beach chairs, an umbrella and snorkel gear. They had prescription glass on some of their masks, which was huge for my wife. We ended up extending our stay and they were very flexible and accommodating! Thank you so much for helping make our trip amazing!

Rented 2 tandem kayaks for a grand total of $80 for the day which was an absolute bargain compared to other places we looked at. Most importantly, they were open on Saturday while the place right on the river was not. They helped us load the kayaks on top of the rental Jeep we had and gave us directions on a great spot to put in at. We ended up paddling upstream for awhile and stopping at the docks of the other place (since they were closed, we figured it wouldn't be a big deal) to get out and grab some smoothies from Wishing Well. Ended up getting our heads chewed off by some lady from that other kayak rental company when she drove up to kick people out of their parking lot (someone had apparently moved their chain blocking their parking lot and she assumed it was us). Needless to say, she was not very chill and for that reason alone I would rather rent from Pedal & Paddle and deal with strapping kayaks to a car. Wish there were spots to beach kayaks near Wishing Well to enjoy a shave ice, coffee, or smoothie because it would make for a great day. Ultimately, nobody's fault but our own for ignoring the no trespassing signs or assuming that because their business was closed that it would be fine to stop and walk through their parking lot to get to somewhere else. That said, we still loved paddling the river and drifting up under the trees near the mouth of the river by the Hanalei pier.Drop off was a breeze as well and we made sure to buy some hats, patches, and stickers.

Great shop right in Hanalei Bay. Better prices than literally anywhere else on the mall it's located in. Very reasonable and despite being very busy they had prompt courteous service..thanks guys

Awesome spot, very reasonable price for snorkel gear, and they have a little fund to take care of the local cats. Highly recommend for snorkel rentals/outdoor supplies if you’re in the area!

My husband and I asked for help to buy snorkeling gear (as beginners) and we thought they advised well. We have had trouble with our gear: leaking and mouthpiece has felt too large. Come to find out they sold us junior masks and we are grown adults and the masks are too small for our faces. We didn’t know any better til a diving pro helped us. We are very upset with this store and their lack of help to properly help us find our correct size! Now we highly recommend Surf n Sea for their help and expertise!

Rental process was relatively easy and affordable. However we got charged for a small scratch that we 100% did not cause and the boards were not checked or cleared before we went out so kind of a he said/she said style of enforcing payment for damages with not a ton of credibility or confidence in their claim. The whole thing felt so awkward I just said fine and paid and left. I'm sure there have been others who've damaged boards without saying anything so good karma for us 👍🏼Bottom line: check the equipment in front of them before leaving, maybe take pictures too.

Fantastic place to rent from! They are super chill, yet professional. Very welcoming! Wild cats hang out in the shopping place and wander in and out of the store, which my children adored! It’s a fun store! I bought a Kauai hat that I couldn’t find anywhere else and it was a great price! We rented snorkel gear and it was affordable and clean.

My husband and I were searching places to rent snorkel gear and beach chairs in Kauai. We walked in about 30 minutes after opening on a Monday morning, no one else was in the store and the 2 women working there didn't even acknowledge that we walked in. We had to ask if they worked there to even get acknowledgment. We asked if they rented gear and the price she gave us a very unfriendly quick response then turned away from us. Either this place doesn't care about customer service, doesn't like tourists, or their staff just doesn't care... but do t waste your time here!! IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO RENT ANY BEACH EQUIPMENT GO OVER 2 MINUTES DOWN THE ROAD TO HANALEI SURF CO! Better price & nicer staff!

We rented paddle boards to take out onto the river and the ocean and they were so helpful and friendly. They helped us get them on the car and honestly it was super easy to get them back on the car to return. And it's a very short drive from the store to access the ocean and the river. And a good value too: $30 for the half day (they have shorter hours since they are just opening up post quarantine). Thank you!

I loved how easy it was to rent out the gear. But what was most helpful was that Marissa let us know where the best places to snorkel were based on our experience and the weather. We came back later in the week and rented paddle boards. We had the same experience then. Giving us tips on how to do it and were to start before heading to the ocean. Great customer service!

Friendly staff, good mix of stuff you need for a day on the water and souvenir-type stuff. We pet the shop cat, Pumpkin, for a bit and he couldn't even be bothered to open his eyes, which I would normally deduct a star for, but I got a really cool hat here.

Super friendly staff and fair prices. We rented a double Kayak for one day for $40, including a dry bag as well as styrofoam and tie downs so we could carry the kayak on our rental car. The staff gave us useful tips on where to Kayak (definitely check out the short but sweet Kalihiwai river if you have the time).
