I had marked Cafe Turmeric a year ago as “Want to Go”…and finally made it tonight after sunset. What a lovely treat!The food was simply delicious. I eat planted-based so asked for a dealer’s choice meal. Serve me what you want me to eat, plant-based and I know I’ll be happy. Oh-and I was!I got the Chana Palak. Medium spice which was the most perfectly laced spice adding to the flavor without leaving my mouth sad.The hibiscus turmeric ginger tea was beautiful, being able to taste each flavor note.The humans working the truck were beautiful…lovely energy!Bravo Cafe Turmeric. And deeply…mahalo!Vegetarian options: Half the menu is vegan! Four fish and four vegan options.Naan is not vegan.

We dined on the outside benches for an early evening meal. We had the prawn, fish and vegetarian curries, and none of us left a single bit of the meal!Full of flavour and freshness with the option to adjust the spice level to taste (mild to extra-spicy).We had some drinks from the liquor store next to the trucks, which added to the overall experience.We will 100% be coming back for more during our trip!(Edit: we came back for a second visit, and it was as amazing as our first)Yum!

Hands down, one of the best curries I have ever eaten! Flavour was phenomenal. I had the coconut veggie curry (mild) and my husband had the shrimp curry (medium) and we both loved it. Vegan and gluten free options. Fantastic customer service as well. We will visit again when we are back on Kauai in March, Mahalo!Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free friendly

What a wonderful surprise find for us. While this was not our first visit to Kauai, it was the first time we visited this terrific food truck. Cafe Turmeric is nestled among a few other food trucks. They have a nice variety in their menu, which they cook to order (mild to spicy). They have their own tables/seating with umbrellas and a very friendly staff.Vegetarian options: We ordered and enjoyed Chana Palak (without fish vindalu), naan and mango lasse.

What a great place, the food was fresh and piping hot when it was served. Wonderful flavors, I had the coconut veggie curry. I enjoyed tasting the Dal and medium spicy is not too bad at all. The Nan was also served hot and went so well with the dishes. The staff was wonderfully polite and friendly. I will enjoy returning here, bon appetit.

I am blown away by this place. Not only is it legitimately the best Indian food I’ve ever had in my life but they guy taking my order asked me how everything was halfway through my meal. I asked for extra Ono to get extra protein and not only did they give me a GREAT portion but only charged me $5 extra for it. They also make all the good and naan bread on the spot so it is FRESH! Please support this place! SUCH a gem in Hanalei!

Not to pull the “I’m Indian so you should trust my review of Indian food” card but yeah, the food here is authentic and delicious. Easily the best meals I had on the entire island of Kauai. The fish curry is legit and has tons of fresh curry leaves in it. The guys running the place are super nice and welcoming. I dream of returning here someday!

A indian food truck with limited options.. but the food is amazing!! Perfect spice levels.. We had Dal, Fish and Shrimp curry and Some rotis which was super soft.. The rotis were pretty small though.. fortunately they gave basmtic rice for the curries which was sufficient for the 5 of us.. Packed very well with a tray board which was easy to carry. They have bench seating outside.. and many more food trucks in that area!! Quick Service.. As usual indian food is expensive in hawai !! The only drawbak is that we wont know when this place is open or closed!! Its onto the discretion of the chef and owner… So don’t go via google.. they don’t pick up the phone properly.

Bomb.com. All you need to know.This place rocks both vegetarian/vegan and seafood options. The chana palak is a must try with smooth coconut creaminess and delicate balance of spice. Other favorites include the coconut shrimp and fish curry. The heat is on the milder side so if you're okay with spiciness, feel comfortable bypassing medium and going full blown "spicy". Grab some beer next door at the Hanalei liquor store and sit yourself down for a scrumptious vindaloo and lager after a wicked hike in Haena state park (don't forget your reservations!). Five star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🍲🍽️🤤😋

The food was delicious!! We have been having non indian food past 3 days, we avoid eating indian food outside as it’s never made right..however this food hit just right home..the dal was delicious, spicy and made just perfect.. the jalfreZi had burst of flavors in your mouth.. we got the dal spicy and thought it won’t be indian spicy.. but don’t be fooled.. so if you can’thandle spice .. go for medium spicy.. naan was super soft..filling for 2 people.. dal quantity is v good for 2Overall just perfect!!Just wish these places had a place to wash hands..

My wife and I truly enjoyed the food! I had the coconut shrimp curry mild spice and my wife had coconut veg curry mild spice. We got two orders of Naan and it came with white rice. The flavors were absolutely fantastic. Mild was not spicy at all I could have done medium spice instead as I like a little spicy. To future customers have cash or have Venmo. Only two methods of payment. Highly recommend this food truck.Vegetarian options: It’s Indian food, plenty of vegetarian options!

This is a food truck tucked in right after you get into the small town near north end of Kaua’i. This place has outdoor sitting and it’s covered. This is handy when there is rain and it rains quite often during winter on this side of the island. The food is excellent, however you could be waiting for a long while for your food. Cash only but the dudes working there are very friendly and into what they are doing. A quick place to get a bite if you are vegetarian and or love indian food.

Yummy Indian food and great service.Tried Chana palak, veg jalfrezi, and veg coconut curry, all of which turned out to be delicious.The food tastes good for a couple of days which made some meals very convenient.There is some traffic issue around the place so making frequent trips weren’t feasible.Vegetarian options: All of the listed dishes in my review were vegetarian and tastyParking: Easy to get parking

What a delicious food cart! We wanted a change of pace food wise and this place totally fit the bill! I had the coconut shrimp curry and my husband had the fish vindalu. They were both so delicious and full of flavor! They didn’t skimp on the shrimp either and each curry had delish veggies mixed throughout. We shared some naan and a blackberry lemonade as well and they hit the spot! They accept cash or Venmo. Would definitely recommend!
