Beautiful. Cliff jumping.Local staple, but locals, understandably, don't like packs of tourists. Come at sunrise for privacy.Limited parking.New "official" trail along the creek. We still took the traditional one through the fence and field as of 2024.01.

Most people said it already, park on the road or pay 10 bucks across the street. Hike past the bridge, follow the path, threw the barbed wire and kapow!Beautiful place for pictures. Limited parking and lack of easy trails makes it a very private place to get to.Jump the cliffs and enjoy the views. A must for the adventure travelers.

You will have to park your car aside of the road before the bridge, walk aside the bridge that look like a dry old river then pass through a lot of vegetation, that barely allow you to see the beauty of this point, once you arrive immediately see that point is result of sea water trapped in front coast, there are 3 points to jump, yes are scary but great, thais stop is a must if you do Hana’s road

Very cool area for cliff jumping. Great views. There is very limited parking on the side of the road (about 4 cars can fit). The path is hidden by a stone wall. Be VERY careful when exploring the area. The back side of the cliff crumbled under my brother’s feet. Thankfully he was able to hold on, but it could’ve been very bad. The rocks are very sharp so I would recommend keeping shoes on at all times.

There's no public parking. I was lucky enough to find parking at a nearby bridge. Very limited parking. Once you get pass the main entrance. Keep LEFT tight along the fence and stay left along the path. You will eventually get there. It's about a 8 minute walk to the hidden gen! It was worth it. At first I was like what did I get myself into cause I didn't know where exactly where I was going and almost wanted to turn back but glad I didn't. The beach is like black sand beach. But made from black tiny rocks.

This was an amazing stop! Hard to find so drive slow! We parked on the side of road by very tall grass just past the small bridge. There is a tiny path around the bridge that leads to a cattle gate you can climb through (the land owners allow this, just stay away from the cattle you'll be walking next to). Walk through the tall grass to the cliff side where you can climb down. Highly recommend water shoes as the beach itself is all rock & hurts a bit. It's a local spot, so be kind to the land and the locals there. There's a waterfall in the back corner that may be dry at times but still gorgeous! Would swim here every day if I could!

Super cool spot, I liked it better than the seven sacred ponds because you could swim here. We were super lucky when we went because it wasn’t murky and gross and there were only 4 other people there so we basically had it to ourselves. Getting back there wasn’t too hard. Parking is definitely limited but worth it if you can find a spot without disobeying the locals no parking.

Unique place with nice spots for cliff jumping. Water quality depends on rainfall. finding an adequate parking spot is hard without harassing the locals. We parked about 200m from the entrance to the path since the road around the bridge was full and the locals were not amused at all. Additional info: don’t go into the forest, the right path is climbing over the low metal barrier and follow the path in the grass.

Easy short hike with beautiful scenery! If you take the trail to your right you’ll miss out on the cliff scenery and black sand beach.

This was one of the highlights of my trip. We read about this place and were skeptical about how to get to it. Our book told us that Hāna ranch owns the land where the trail leads you to the pool but we saw signs warning of trespassing. So we took the route along the gulch and it was exciting as you had to be careful of your footing. Once we got to the pond we had to scale the rock down. It was well worth it, we were alone and the pool was amazing. We also read that this pool can be dangerous if flash floods occur so keep an eye out on the gulch so you can react accordingly. The pool was beautiful and the ocean side was amazing with the waves crashing towards us. Highly recommend. Oh yeah once we climbed out we found the trail that the book was talking about on the ranch side and decided to take the risk of walking on private property. It is a much easier trail. Be sure when you park to have all four tires of your vehicle off the road and your vehicle facing the correct way or you may get a ticket. Have fun.

We loved this spot! The pool was refreshing and great for floating. We jumped off the rocks :) super fun! There is a small fruit stand off to the right park in front of it on the pull off the side of the road, then walk to the stand and just to the right is a gap next to the wall and fence you can squeeze through (or just climb over the short lava wall fence) and take that to the cattle rail you climb through. You’ll see a big filed usually with cows. Take that to the stone oven and take the path to the right. You’ll see the pool shortly.

A must-see spot for the adventurous. On good days, you can jump off a 30 foot ledge into the water below. Parking along the side of the road is limited, so good luck.SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS: just on the north side of the one-lane bridge is a rock wall. Jump the wall. Then journey through a skinny pathway lined with 8 or 10-foot high grasses for about 30 paces. Then turn left and climb through a metal gate. Turn right and walk the path through an open field. At the old brick oven, take the right fork and make your way down the path to the Pool. The 30-ft rock ledge is straight out from the pathway. Observe the conditions carefully. Jump at your own risk.By the way, the Shaka Guide's "Road to Hana" audio tour download for $20 is super helpful. It gives all the directions above in the audio, and they have some more tips and history. Well worth the money to get the audio tour guide.

Very warm, salt water. I guess it depends on when the tide came up last. Water seemed relatively clean, except for some floating debris/sticks&leaves.Not much parking, tricky to find, but easy little stroll to get to, through a field.

Absolutely beautiful and not busy! The trail starts before the bridge, behind the stone wall around the orange flower tree. Go past the metal gate (at the first fork) through the grassy farm, and at the next fork take the right lower down path to reach a vista, you can follow it down further towards the ocean to reach the bottom of the pool.

Stunning!!Passed it the first time, but thanks to the reviews here we knew to walk over the wall, through the cattle fence and around.Didn’t see easy access to the water to swim, but enjoyed hiking around.

Like many places in Hana, this water pool is a special place to discover and it’s also very popular. If you go early in the morning or late afternoon (after the tourist rush), you might have the place to yourself. It is a protected pool that’s just inland from the ocean and it’s just stunning. Pictures don’t do it justice.Free parking can be difficult (another reason to go earlier). Stay mindful that people live in that area so if the street parking is full, go to the shave ice place just up the road. The hike takes some scrambling up & down rocks so it’ll be difficult for people with mobility issues but it’s well worth the hike when you get there.

Stopped here while driving the reverse road to Haleakala (which I highly recommend by the way, less traffic overall), and there were only 4 other couples/groups here! It's sort of hard to find - there's a fruit/coconut stand with a machete that is right by the entrance. You hop over the stone wall which leads to a trail that continues through a metal gate. You walk through 200m of grass before you reach the ponds below where you can cliff jump!

Not worth it for the average traveler, worth it for the adventurous.Entrance is next to a shack that sells young coconuts, passionfruit, mango, and other fruit. You have to go through 20 ft of thick unmaintained foliage before you reach some volcano rock with standstill water. Lots of mosquitos here. Then you follow a path all the way towards the ocean and there is a pool at the end. You need to climb down some rocks so be careful. Pretty isolated.I didn't get to finish the trail because my party was too concerned about mobility, so take my review with a grain of salt.Be wary of flash floods.

Visited this place as our last stop on the road to Hana. Absolutely beautiful but dangerous. Go at your own risk. To get there you have to first park on the side of the road near a farm/pasture. There is a fruit stand and behind it is a very narrow trail. Follow it through farm fields and you will reach a forest area with a steep drop into the pools. My mom came with and is afraid of heights, her shoes kept slipping and she was pretty scared but for someone agile with good grip it’s not too bad. The only way to get into the water is it jump from the cliff or climb down steep rock. There was a local there cliff jumping so I knew it was deep enough and safe to jump which I did. So fun!!! Just be cautious and safe. At high tide or when it has been raining up in hills don’t even go. Flash flooding is dangerous and people have died here

Super nice. Parking is limited. It's hard to find. There's a bridge and the entrance is right by it. You'll see a walking path to the right by an open field. Follow the path to the wooden painted sign. You'll go left through the gate and continue following the path on the private property. It's a short walk, easy to do. Amazing to see. Have fun.

Although I feel a bit bad writing a review about this place and making it more public, it's written up in all the guide books and such. Well worth a detour, excellent swimming hole that is connected to the ocean depending on the tide.Crystal clear waters, lots of places to jump off cliffs, and we've never seen anyone else here despite numerous visits across the years. There's also a honor-system fruit stand halfway down the trail where you can grab fresh fruit and leave your money in a jar. As others have mentioned, be conscious of where you are parking.AND KEEP THIS PLACE CLEAN AND PRISTINE! Don't leave anything, and if you see someone else's trash, please pick it up.

Cool view but not water to swim in. When we went the water was super brown and murky and smelled. The gulch was a cool site to see though with the waves crashing in. Depending on rainfall this may or may not be worth the stop. There’s also no parking and it’s pretty odd path to the water. We had to cross over these cattle gates into private property (the owner allows this) also quite muddy so be careful

Fantastic little hideout in the road to Hana. We found paid parking right when you cross the bridge ($10). A small hike to get there. Perfect spot to cliff jump and you get to see the water flow into the ocean

This place was awesome! I stopped for about 30 to 40 minutes here. Very limited parking! Once you get on the trail to walk to the Venus pools, go left when you see the handmade sign over the metal bars. Walk the path for about 5 minutes and you'll overlook the pools. My family and I climbed down to the bottom to get into the water. The rocks can be a little challenging to get up and down. I saw a couple trying to bring there elderly grandma down and I didn't think it was a good idea.Be careful of the tides and flash floods. It had been raining the day I went higher up the mountain. When we arrived the falls were dry and the beach was at low tide. By the time we left the waterfall was raging and the water level on the pool side and the ocean side were rising.I jumped off the rocks into the water and loved it. The rocks are slippery and I would recommend water shoes or some sort of sandal when walking around.
