This was our last and most special stop on the Road to Hana. The owner was so lovely and let my son cut down his own pod. We wanted to take it back and cut it open ourselves just for the experience. Very cool educational stop for us. I loved hearing their story and how much love goes into making the chocolate. Thank you so much for this experience!!

Amazing experience and chocolate! It was an unexpected delight and we stopped on a whim and so happy we did! It’s a son and mother team making amazing delicious chocolate and they use all the parts of the plant! You must try the popsicle!

Must stop! Right off the main road. They offer free parking and an interactive experience. From the shop you can see and smell the chocolate being made. They have photos of the process. The staff is friendly and willing to discuss their family operations. For sale they have a variety of chocolate bars and merchandise. About 10’ from the store you can see cacao growing on the trees. Cool experience!

The chocolate here is truly delicious and has a distinctive, rich taste unique to this location. We were delighted to support this family run business and will remember our experience here as a highlight of our stay in Hana.

This place is worth a stop on the way to Hana. The chocolate is divine and the owners are lovely. We should have bought more of their chocolate when we were there, but we were worried about it melting. We need to help these wonderful folks and their great product get more exposure during this rough time for Maui.

This is a must to do on the road to Hana. The staff was very generous by showing us the process from branch to bar. We even got to sample a cocoa seed straight from the pod! Environmentally friendly with the purest ingredients. Loved every moment of it ❤️ By the way, the chocolate is delicious! 😋

Very small coco farm. We have never been to a coco place where they grow, produce, and sell chocolate. The person who makes the chocolate came out and spoke with us. Worth a stop for sure.

We found this little gem on our trek up The Road to Hana and I’m glad we stopped. The owner met us outside and gave us a little tour and explained how they make their chocolate and other products. I bought a few chocolate bars and a jar of the jelly. Delicious! Be sure to stop by if you’re in Maui!

Cute Coco Farm! I bought a chocolate tea and a dark chocolate bar. $8 each. I like the chocolate tea, it has a new and interesting taste. Recommend it. But the chocolate bar was okay, maybe a little expensive for a small chocolate and it did not taste very special.

We had no idea about this plantation until we stumbled upon it on our way to Hana, the sign on by the road. I HIGHLY recommend stopping by to experience this unique plantation. The people running this small company are very humble and treat their products with extreme pride and care. They not only sell amazing chocolate (and I mean the best I’ve ever had), but also chocolate tea, candles that smell absolutely amazing, lotions, and jelly. The use all the parts of the cacao pods in these products. If you are ever on the road to Hana in Maui, make a point to stop by! You will not regret it!

Hana Gold simply has one of the best chocolate in the world and the location is picturesque. We loved our visit there and we will be ordering from them for years to come!

Just happened by this great little spot. As we walked up, we were greeted by the owner and told all about the process from plant to product. They waste no part of the plant and my favorite was actually the Popsicle made from the fruit. It was the perfect amount of sweet and tangy! We ended up buying these cute little boxes of candied chocolates for ourselves and to bring home for gifts. So yummy!!!

We got there. It said it was open but they were closing when we pulled up to store did see some cacao pods. Looks like it would have been cool to see. I am sure they are as shorthanded as everyone else

This place is definitely must stop. Their chocolate Is divine. It's made from simple ingredients, and coco from their farm right there. Theres another "local" larger chocolate company in Lahaina. But he importd his coco from Equador. You can really taste the difference of true local. So smooth.Note: The directions via Google is off. If you are heading toward Hana, it's before the turn Google maps says. Google maps points you to a private driveway. Just look for the signs.

We adventured off to visit the Hana Gold Cacao Plantation! While on our honeymoon are we had an amazing experience with Francine. She explained the process of farming and how they are the original chocolate farmers in Hana. It was really nice being able to support a local business. Stop by if you ever in the area you will not miss out!!!

i’m surprised that this place is not as popular as it should be. An easy 5-10 minute stop to buy local and direct from Alden’s family-owned and -operated farm. He has ginger, sea salt, banana, almond, honey and more infused with chocolate. and then he has something special that are limited - i forgot what it’s called but it’s the best nature’s candy that tasted like cotton candy infused with honey. i think you could only get it at the farm. i’m so glad we stopped by!

If doing the road to Hana this is a must. I stop here every time we go and support this great hidden gem. Everything is done on site and the owners are so friendly and welcoming and also give you a brief education of the farm. Their chocolate is hands down one of the best you can taste the quality. Also something a little new thing we tried there is the cacao pulp popsicle. So yourself a favor and grab one to cool you off on the warm days.

Maybe we got a no luck with a bad bar but the chocolate we bought was truly bad, we did not even finish it. Tasted like burnt, extremely bitter and badly tempered, a shame for 8$/small bar. I would allow customers to taste to avoid dispointment...The cocoa fruit popsticle was very good.

AMAZING TASTE. Small Batch Single Field to Bar. From the Fields to the Finished product, this is the best chocolate tour I have ever been on. This plantation is the only Branch to Bar on Maui, It's family owned and operated and they are wonderful people who take you though the whole process. You get to try the Cacao at each stage. If you like Chocolate this is a MUST do experience. Beauty location and very photography friendly.

When we first pulled up, I thought we were intruding on someone’s house! The owner personally came out to greet us and was very friendly. She told us about the process for harvesting the cacao on the property. (Yes, their chocolate comes from their own cacao trees!) The chocolate here is wonderful, and of course fair trade and as fresh as it gets! We bought 4 bars but I guess it wasn’t enough. All gone! All flavors we tried were great but I especially loved the honeycomb!

Very cool! They grow the cocoa beans right there, you can watch them make the chocolate.Be careful though, too many flavors to choose from! Dark chocolate ginger, dark chocolate Mandarin orange; milk chocolate almond or milk chocolate banana...But the best is what they make with the cocoa fruit! The dried cocoa candy and the jelly... There are no words, it just doesn't taste like anything one would expect! You have to try it!

So delicious! The family that runs the plantation grows the plants and makes the chocolate, and you can see the care in everything they do. It's easy to miss the turnout so keep your eyes peeled and head up the long driveway to the shop.

So fun stopping here! As soon as we got out of our car, the owner was showing us the cacao pods and trees and teaching us about how the chocolate is made and how each of their products was made out of different parts of the cacao plant! It was so informative and fun!On top of that, the chocolate was delicious. We got a few kinds of the dark chocolate and we were amazed at how creamy it was for being dark chocolate. We also watched them make chocolate & package our chocolate fresh right in front of us which was so coolTheir chocolate and products are sourced locally and the owners want to keep them on the island and not export them to the mainland, so they make great gifts to share with family back home since you’ll never find the products in the mainland US. In addition to chocolate they had cacao body butter, jelly, kombucha & more.
