Small black sand beach park in Hana. The park provides picnic area with tables and benches, showers, restrooms. There are decent amount of parking for visitors. The beach is calm and swimmable. Keep driving forward to the right side of the park, where it leads to an abandoned pier with view of lava cliff and its lustful green.

Nice beach with a view. We arrived when it started to rain so we couldn’t go into the water. There were some covered picnic tables and we decided to have lunch there. Plenty of parking around and porta potties available.

A long, slow, winding road to get here so leave plenty of time to drive here. A lovely spot for a picnic lunch and enjoying the scenery. Beautiful and secluded.We didn't go in the water but the sand was lovely.Restrooms: There are a few (rarely maintained) restrooms and also Porta-potties.Picnic area: One open area and one covered.

Beautiful and worth the stop and entrance fee. Could be a destination by itself, but we wanted to finish the drive to Hana.Bathrooms, picnic areas, easy hikes, plenty of informational signage.Discounts offered for families of 5 or more, military, first responders.

Very nice oceanside park with a beach and canoe club. Pretty well maintained, ample parking, and easy return to the highway.

Beautiful and peaceful place. Very clean with many local families enjoying the ocean and park. There is a nice boat ramp as well.Restrooms: Clean porta pottys available.Picnic area: Several picnic tables in the grassy area.

Decent beach with restrooms and a store. Amazing beach and mountain views. There is boat ramp that I saw many kids playing around. There is an old pier not functional now that you can walk over and get really good views back of the beach and coast with rocks, block-ish beach sand, and beaches.Few public free parking spots are available.

We spent part of an afternoon at Hana Bay Beach Park, ate our picnic lunch in the shade, walked over to the pier, and enjoyed the bay views.

A great little l spot right on the water. The park is taken care of an has some great views. Its a big local spot to enjoy the weekend, so just be mindful to respect the area and those that live around it. They have a small black sand beach alongside, not for swimming though. Also, since we had the same thoughts, you cannot car camp here.

The road to Hana is an adventure and it’s not about the destination. So many pretty views and water falls and places to stop along the way. This doesn’t have to be the end of the days journey.The bay is nice and is a good place to get in the water. It has restroom facilities and good parking.

We often stop here and eat our lunch when we are finishing up the road to Hana. It has a lot to offer, picnic benches, beach area, restrooms, shaded parking and it's nice to just sit and people watch.

My wife and I drove to Hana on Saturday afternoon in September (9/17 I think). We stayed at the Hana Maui resort and got some food at the food trucks up the road. Our evening was ended with a walk around the hotel and ended up at the Hana Bay Beach Park. It was very cool as the sun was setting. The locals were out BBQ-ing and hanging out. During the day there was a vendor selling trinkets, glass sculptures, magnets and more.

Maybe because it was a rainy day, but I felt Hana itself is very overrated. We drove the whole loop around, there and back. The views were amazing. Black crabs on the side rocks at this beach.Restrooms: Portable toilets with hand washing stations. There was also soap!

This beach has some really really cool views but also not any great sand. No one was swimming around here. There are some piers we wanted to go on but there are signs saying don’t trespass.

Good place to refresh and relax after a long and frustrating drive on the way to Hana. Water is warm and I suggest to bring your swimming gears and surfing gears. Kids loves the area. The area is clean and there are area to rinse off the lava sand.

Pretty much the destination on the road to Hana. As there is no real town center after the 50 miles of windy roads travelled to get here. Wish there were some sort of food/drink area. Or food trucks. Want too crowded when we got here around 1pm on a Sunday. But. There was a decent amount of trash/litter. So 1 less star.

The ride to the place is awesome with nature on both sides and waterfalls across the road. You can just chill on the pier and have fun. Great views and water to swim in.

Lovely place. Locals are friendly, the sea is beautiful (how could it not be - it's Maui!), the road to drive there might be scary to most drivers. It's the road to Hana - so it's a rite of passage. 😆

Really Amazing to see in person !! On the road to Hana there were so many things to see too!! Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking!! If you want to see Black sands beach. you Do Need to Reservation!!I highly recommend. There are Tons of waterfalls that people jump off of too!!

The Drive, The Beach, The hikes around the beach are awesome. Well worth the drive and make sure to take your time and take pics on the way there so many beautiful waterfalls on the way onto the park l. You see a lot of British and German flags which screams neo colonialism but I digress they’re here to stay lol

The beach is really interesting, black sand coming from the volcano. The view is beautiful, but the beach is not that clean, there is a lots of dirtiness, so many plastic and other things, little bit disappointed about that.

The Road to Hana might as well be called the Road to Nowhere. Very underwhelming experience in Hana. We ate at a food truck area near Hana Park & the food was nasty. It was a beautiful drive, but now that I've done it, I never have to do it again. Nothing wowed us or even impressed us to say we should come back and do this again.

Great spot to watch the waves crash over the rocks.Restrooms by the baseball field.Aunt Sandy’s banana bread is worth stopping for it’s served nice and hot!Go to the end and that’s where the biggest waves are. There is a great photo op with a fallen tree/log. Saw some get some great photos there.

Great tiny beach just a little off main road to Hana. Perfect for picnic lunch since there are many tables for sitting, and shaded seating. The waves are fairly rough so not best for swimming but nice to stand in by the shore. Gorgeous view. There’s also a little tent set up with snacks and food for purchase.
