I shop there when I need a few things but regular grocery shopping….no. If you need to fast shop it’s good but prices are higher because it’s a tourist trap in that area so they can do that.? It’s clean and always good customer service but every one moves quickly through the isles. Not your typical grocery shopping experience

Ono local food! Love their breakfast by the pound. I work in Haleiwa about twice a month and when I do I make it a point to eat at Malama Market, especially breakfast. Their fried rice is the best!!! Quick, convenient and good prices.

I enjoyed this market. Lots of local charm and personality, but it is well stocked and the prices are reasonable.Large variety of beer, wine and liquor. All of the necessary staples and amenities you'd expect at a larger grocery store without the endless miles of half bare quadruple shelved aisles.Friendly and helpful staff. We'll be back. Mahalo.

We visit North Shore once or twice every year and this is our go-to grocery! Everything is fresh and folks are super friendly and helpful. Prices are on par with where we come from (Alaska) and sometimes even cheaper:) Go early for the delicious poke variety!

If you're visiting and need groceries, this market has what you need. I recommend the poke' and potato salad from the deli. Wish we had time to try more.

Stopped here to stock up for our week at an Airbnb. They had everything we needed, but my only regret was not tying something from the front case because it all looked amazing.

Get the Poke from the Fresh counter, tried 3 kinds over my stay, liked the oyster sauce one the best. Quarter pound per person makes a great light meal, grab a beer and you're set.

Malala Market is a little small, but does have all the essentials. Their Deli offers good steak plate meals on Thursday and the store has friendly and helpful staff. They also have a wide variety of Kegs of bee that can be ordered and a surprising large selection of wine for such a small grocery store.

Handy location when you're staying in the area. Somewhat expensive, bit it's the only choice right in that area. The selection is ok, watch the sell by dates. We didn't check and bought hamburger that was use by that day. When we went to cook it two days later it was a disturbing and sick brown color. Lesson learned!

Has been part of the Haleiwa community for as long as I can remember (50+ yrs), although under different names and proprietors. Originally only patronized by the local community, now has become a major stopover that serves residents and visitors alike. Parking and access are adequate for the local community but can become a serious choke point with the influx of tourists and visitors, especially on the weekend.

local grocery market with a lot to offer. We made a pit stop with intention of grabbing some fresh fruits and picked up some premade spam musubi and Lau Lau along with our purchase. We were blown away by the quality of their food. The LauLau we had was packed with pork fully infused with taro leave aroma. The spam musubi was awesome too!!

This is now my fav poke in Oahu. Kinda stumbled into it by accident after visiting shark's cove. Tried other places but this one was the best.

Very over priced. Please come up with some kind of kama'aina discount as I am not a tourist. I don't have good transportation, so I cant really go to foodland in pupukea (which is owned by the same corporation) which is wayy cheaper. Anyone who does have good transportation, just go to foodland in pupukea, way better!

Really handy if you're in Haleiwa. Resident or tourist. The folks that work there are very friendly. They should be paid double time for risking exposure to covid-19.

Nice staff, prices are upscale but it's one of the few grocery stores on the North Shore so I understand.

Malama is the local community grocery store in Haleiwa. They have great poke bowls and steak plates. Personally, I'm a fan of their pistachio pudding cake!

Malama is a pretty terrible grocery store. A number of times we have bought expired items without realizing it till we get home, so check carefully. It's like a worse Foodland. Similar options, but smaller and less quality.

Convenient small store that is well stocked with a variety of grocery items. Employees are nice and the store is clean. Can be a bit pricey.
