Bathrooms were terrible. Porta-potty's were "full" and lines were long!! The stores were clean and well stocked.Matsumoto shave ice was ridiculously long to wait , so we went to Aoki across the street. And it was even better !! Must try!! Great gift shop too!

Nice little shopping area on the north shore. Parking can be difficult during busy times. We parked across the street & walked. Matsumoto Shave ice stand can cause quite a bit of congestion. They also had live music in the courtyard area.

Cool store with a collection of touristy trinkets and local products in an old sugar mill. They roast their own coffee aand make their own chocolate (the 70% chocolate was fantastic if you like dark).

An interesting collection of stores, food trucks, restaurants, and historical sites that will quickly give a visitor a good sense of local culture, cuisine, handicrafts, and other products. One can plan a visit around lunch, snacks, and/or dinner and one will not be disappointed. For this visit, my wife and I enjoyed the shrimp dishes of Seven Brothers.

There are many cute stores in Haleiwa town. You can enjoy the rainbow ice and shrimp rice here. Also island vintage coffee and terry’s burger are nearby.

The parking lot lady was rude, and smoking a cigarette, while gossiping with the security guard. The security guard was rude, also, but obviously been to prison. I was frightened by the face tattoos

Long stretch of stores with Long Drugs, surf stores, art galleries, etc. Finding free parking is a breeze with many proper lots besides the stores. Mahalo :)

Lots to see and buy some at decent price and some not so decent. And don't wait at the well know shaved ice company that's just crazy the town has many others to choose from and trust me they taste the same and cost way less .

If you live here we don’t venture a lot on this stretch in our town and I try to avoid it due to the overwhelming tourist. I go around it but visitors love it. Just remember to respect the people that live in our community! You see a lot of foolish behavior coming from visitors. Sad!

Fun collection of food, clothing, art, surf and gift shops with onsite free parking. The famous Matsumoto shave ice shop gets busy - watch out for bees who also enjoy shave ice syrup! Individual store hours vary and restrooms are limited so plan ahead.

Haleiwa, on the North Shore of Oahu has been the home of Matsumoto’s Shave Ice for many years. I first went there in about 1981 when it was just a little shack with a dirt parking lot. It’s now a great tourist draw with surrounding shops built in a similar style to Matsumoto’s original (which has been updated and enlarged). It’s main business now appears to be selling t shirts and tourist items. You can still buy it’s tasty shave ice at close to 1980s prices. Yay!Aloha

Loved the vibe. Lots of stores to peruse with many unique trinkets and souvenirs. The Art Studios/Galleries are impressive. Wonderful amount of diversity in the works. Of course, plethora of surfing products too.

Shopping complex in Haleiwa... Lots of tourist stores, mostly souvenirs. We had stopped there to go to Matsumoto Shave Ice that's really popular. Easy to find parking, a lot of spaces.

My wife and I stopped at the North Shore for our honeymoon. There were alot of cute shops and a few restraunts. There were numerous ice cream places and a crazy looking shaved ice place. They had a large line and made the most insane shaved ices I have ever seen. We ate at the Mexican restraunt and it was nice and quick as we needed to catch a flight. If you give yourself 2 hours to explore this area and eat that will be plenty. Parking was not an issue which was great. Just park behind the shops in the large lot.
