My family comes here often to do our grocery shopping. The staff are friendly and they have a wide variety of things to purchase. Last Christmas, I bought my Grandma a Jello puzzle from this store. She loved it. We even picked up wasabi oil, which has been very good

Save big at the Big save market 😎Most of the groceries you need at the prices you expect, and on the main drag. Easy access for the food you need. Poke, green peppers and even canned green chili today! Thank you from your Arizona friends 😎🙏😇

A good sized grocery store that pretty much has everything from groceries to fresh produce to prepared foods. The prices are very reasonable and sometimes cheaper than Safeway. The staff is very helpful and polite. The store and restrooms are neat and well organized.

Good for essentials but not a very big store nor a huge selection. The poke bar usually has some high quality poke for supermarket prices

Big Save is owned by Times so if you're trying to price shop on the island, you're going to find the same prices unless you're going out of your way to find a Safeway, or you're driving to Lihue to go to Target, Walmart or Costco.Store is older and the shelves need a good scrub and the ube in the freezer section looked freezer burnt with ice crystals in the package.Prices are high, but not nearly as high as they are up north in Princeville. My husband and I ended up getting Shaka Teas and then leaving as everything is pretty pricey. This location has a section for Hawaiian souvenirs if you are looking for those.Visited: January 2023

Very disappointed that after two days of attempting to get a delivery nothing was delivered. I went through Instacart because it seems you don’t offer your own delivery. Two days in a row the delivery was not completed. I cannot drive so the failure of this system creates a major problem for me.

Good selection of local and popular food items. The prices of some things are almost double the prices of groceries purchased on the main land. (I buy almond milk in L.A. for $2.79 and here I paid almost $6.00 for the same size.) It's Hawaii though, so it's worth it to me.

Pretty cool high-end Hawaiian deli/supermarket. Had a great selection of local (and not) foods and products. But the crown goes to the poke bowls, made to order and really outstanding fresh ahi and toppings of your choice! Didn't hurt that the staff is super friendly!

My wife and I stopped at another Big Save and enjoyed it as well. In our opinion, this is the best location. This evening we dealt with a cashier named Kianu. She was such a sweet and nice person. Very friendly! They have everything we want as well.

It's relatively expensive, but that pretty much goes without saying on island. I shop there all the time since it is the closest place for me to acquire groceries and it certainly does its job in that respect; I've not found it wanting for any vital items. Every staff member I've interacted with there has been very pleasant, from the cashiers to the guys manning the seafood counter.

Of all the Big Saves on island this one has the best staff. Friendly and service oriented. The building, like most of its kind, is a bit dated and run down, but it's the people that make the difference

If you need to pick up something to eat on the cheap side, walking less than a mile and there a good selection of prepared food on the refrigerated area. This sure beat the tourist price from vendors where we took the shuttle near the Kauai dock. You can pick up some souvenirs here too. The price overall it a win on your pocket.

A good selection of fruit & vegetables, dairy, meat, dry goods, drinks, and alcohol. Prices are high but then EVERYTHING is priced high here in paradise. They even have an isle for the visitors to buy souvenirs, camping supplies, and beach items.

For a grocery store on an island it's great, has all the basics and fresh fish, many types of poke that are amazing. You can even get your kids snorkeling gear here.

Convenient if you live between Kaumakani and Kalaheo/Lawai area. Cost of items mostly too expensive. Basic necessities can be found in this store and so as essential items. Make sure to check expiration dates before buying. I have had experienced buying something that was already expired.

Truly a horrible store. We like some of their long term employees but the owners are dismal and there appears to be no management. Produce quality in particular is disgusting. Five stars for good employees and no stars for the store itself. Gross!

Staff is very friendly, always have plenty of cashiers for a quick checkout. Prefer going here than Koloa big save. More parking.

Big Save, a locally owned and operated for the kama'aina and malihune alike. A tropical exotic experience and delight. And, the prices are fantastic on the pocketbook! Aloha is spoken here!

Good variety..the name is a tad deceiving...be sure to give the homeless outside the entrance your spare change, heroin isn't cheap!

Big Save markets on Kauai are now owned by Don Quijote of Honolulu. Prices may be higher than some Lihue stores but selection is very good and considering they are where we live, prices are competitive.

Nice quaint little grocery store with most grocery items. I like shopping at night, minimal people and quiet. The employees are helpful and courteous.

Good selection of food, drinks, and sundries. Decent beer, wine, and spirits selection, too. Good produce and a bunch of local, Asian, and Filipino food ingredients.
