We stumbled upon this general store on our way back from the beach and we are so glad we ended up here. The poke was so fresh and delicious - highly recommend trying the oyster sauce poke. We had a great conversation with Lupe. He let us try samples of the other poke offerings he had available. It was also such a great deal - around $8.99 for one poke of choice and rice. The serving sizes are also super generous. This is a to-go counter - so don't expect any seating to be available. Take it to the nearest beach to enjoy.

This is hands down the best Poke on the island. Very good prices and so fresh. Samples for all types made it hard to decide what was the best. All the staff were so friendly.

Went into Whalers General in Anahola and was pleasantly surprised by the "Delious" plate lunches! The poki was really fresh and tasty. The employees were helpful and so friendly. I'll definitely come back

Best poke on the island!! We come here every few days each time we come to Hawaii! The fish is so fresh and it is the best price on the island for sushi! Can’t recommend it enough!

Awesome poke bowls, helpful friendly staff gave us free samples till we found what we liked (and they were all great--hard to choose just two). Wish we had found this gem sooner on our visit to Kauai, we'd have eaten there everyday!!!

Stopped in while my husband was getting a burger next door. They have a SPECTACULAR poke bar in the back of the general store and the staff was absolutely delightful, sweet, cheerful, and friendly. An unexpected and glorious find!

Stopped in this little local grocery store for some snacks and to look for some 100% Kona coffee to bring home as gifts. We found some small bags for $30/ea. After buying them we realized the stamped expiration date was February of 2021. We bought them in August of 2021. They were 6-7 months expired. Tried to take them back to exchange them or get a refund. Was told, NO REFUNDS. NO EXCHANGES. Totally ripped us off.

No public restroom. The bus stop is here, so it’s a convenient place to grab supplies if you’re using the campground at Anahole beach park.(Review from a big island resident visiting Kauai for the first time)
