After calling about 6 vet offices for an emergency visit, LCAH fit us in and handled our pup Tater with the utmost care. They saved his life, he was severely dehydrated having an intestinal issues. They were thorough, quick and informative. In less than an hour they had a diagnosis for Tater. They brought us an action plan and gave us the best way to care for him. They were upfront and very fair with pricing for all the procedures. Tater had to stay overnight and they called us with updates to make sure we knew how he was progressing. After staying the first night the staff even left us come visit him before he stayed for the second night for care. That meant so much to us! It was one of the most difficult things to leave our boy there but the staff, Madeline, and Dr. Marshall were wonderful and gave us peace of mind. We could never thank LCAH enough for helping us, Tater will be a patient for life!

I agree with the others who said Lake Chatuge could see patients when others said no. We had a minor emergency with our Maggie and they could see her quickly when others couldn't. We are so grateful. We are in Hiawassee area part time and knew we needed to find a vet in the area. Our experience with them will definitely keep us as a patient.

Lake Chatuge Animal Hospital provides excellent care and efficient services for my dog Sally. They take the time to ask and listen to any concerns I have and provide a detailed analysis of the cost of recommended services prior to completing. They are also very responsive for medication refill requests throughout the year.

I am so thankful for this veterinarian hospital. Our regular veterinarian couldn't see our Chihuahua "Poppy". I called everyone in Murphy North Carolina , I called everyone in Hayesville North Carolina, I called everyone in Andrews North carolina, I called everyone in Blairsville georgia, and the only people that would see our 15 year old dog was like chatuge animal hospital. They did a thorough evaluation of him and treated him and us with great respect. I highly recommend this establishment. One last comment everyone was so accommodating and kind. They gave him a treat and he was too nervous to eat it there but he ate it when he got home

My cat was attacked and I hadn't found a vet yet since we moved up here. I called several hospitals, even ones who claimed to have urgent care and none would see her as an emergency situation. Lake Chatuge Hospital said no problem bring her in right away, you may have to leave her with us, but we'll get her fixed up. Turns out she was in worse shape than I even knew. They called me with updates every step of the way. Amazing doctor. Amazing staff. They are the reason my fur baby is still alive!

The staff is caring and understanding of the animals that are brought in. My dog, Ariel, recently had surgery on her mouth/teeth, and they did a wonderful job in order to make her better. She is thriving and healthier thanks to the staff at Lake Chatuge Animal Hospital. I am grateful to have such a great veterinarian and staff to bring my animals to. Thank you. I would recommend them to anyone that is in search of adequate care and wellness for any animal.

We were so grateful to have found Lake Chatuge when NO other veterinarian's would take our prissy in! My mother had called them as a last resort and in an absolute panic and they told us to come in as quickly as possible. They had treated our prissy with the utmost care and love and most definitely saved her life. We are so very grateful and will definitely be forever customers now!

Worked us in the same day because our dog was having gland issues. Spent lots of time, showed kindness and concern for our old girl. I highly recommend this hospital. Dr Marshall was thorough and concerned about our concerns! Everyone working there is friendly and respectful. Another plus, they answer the phone! Not a long recording to listen to! That’s a huge plus for me.

We have used Lake Chatuge Animal Hospital for several years. They have been mostly amazing except a few instances with a New Veterinarian I didn’t feel were being as compassionate as others and their bedside manner lacked. The reason for my review today has mostly to do with our recent visit. We have used the boarding service for several years. We understand that prices change and that is not the issue. The issue on hand is the price for boarding changed and we were NOT informed UNTIL we picked up. And it was changed by a jaw dropping amount. Like I said above we have been using this service for several years multiple times a year. You wouldn’t think you would need to ask each time. The prices are not posted anywhere and we don’t read minds. The only excuse I was told was “ Our prices change yearly”. No actually they haven’t for boarding. I just feel like a veterinarian office is supposed to feel like home. Somewhere you trust and feel like family. Our Furchild has only been to this office their entire life. We are devastated that now we have distrust with the one place we felt our furchild was most comfortable getting care from. They said I would get a call from the office manager but I have yet to receive a call. Lesson learned.

I used to love taking my dog there because the prices were decent. However the last visit was over 500 for my little 10 lb Morkie I am changing vets! That is a car payment for a dog and it's ridiculous! The staff is awesome but prices come on!

After bad experiences with at least five other groomers, we were very happy with the grooming performed at this facility on our Shitz Shu. However, when they went to get her to bring her out to us, she got scared or excited. They brought her out to us with urine and feces on her right after her bath. They should have at least cleaned her before bringing her out to us.

I LOVED this place, until our last check-up and shots. They were bought out by a corporation and it seems they just care about money and how many patients they can push in and out now. I have never had a long wait time until now. The "check-up" by the vet use to be looking her over, feeling all over, stretching her legs, and seeming like they actually care. I paid $60 for the vet to shine a light in her ears and look at her gums. Plus another $60 for rabies and distemper vaccines that I could have got at a clinic for $30. They didn't even know how the appointment was scheduled because apparently not only will they call you for appointments but the $6 billion corporation will also call to set up appointments and quote you wrong prices for the appointment. The nurses are still the same, and the BEST. It just feels like you're in a big hospital now instead of a local vets office.

Very happy with our experiences here! They found a problem my cat had suffered with for over a year when it had been misdiagnosed at multiple veterinarian offices over that period of time. Poor kitty. Very grateful for the attention to detail by staff!!

I recently had my 5 pound toy poodle neutered and also had some dental work done on him. Everything went very smoothly. Dr. Marshall is absolutely wonderful. The staff was very kind and professional. Debbie at the front desk went out of her way to reassure me during this stressful time as a pet mom. All of the prices were lower than I expected as well. My furr baby got the best care possible and I appreciate them very much!❤🐩👍👍

New patient appts. and very happy overall. Facility is well thought out. Settling up bill in room is excellent so pets aren’t stressed around other animals. Parking spots are wide allowing for getting animals in and out of vehicles. Invoice has medical notes on it so you have that information on hand if ever needed. Little things like those were noticed and appreciated.

I was traveling when our dog scratched his cornea and needed emergency care. After his emergency visit at another vet, he needed a follow visit in 3 days. We were lucky to get a last minute appointment at Lake Chatuge Animal Hospital. I really liked this vet. The staff, the vet tech and the vet were wonderful. I felt very comfortable during our visit and how they cared for our dog. I would make this my primary vet if I lived here.

The staff is always nice and treat my boys with such care!! An abscess was found on one of them while getting a nail trim and the doctors checked him and took care of the abscess sending us home with antibiotics.Highly recommend!!!

Much thanks to this clinic for seeing our senior hound dog, Darby, on an emergency basis even though she wasn’t a regular patient.Our regular veterinary clinic was closed on a Friday and the emergency vet clinic in BlueRidge did not open until 6pm. Darby was severely dehydrated and in much pain from a night of vomiting and diarrhea.Dr. Weikel diagnosed Darby with pancreatitis and kept her for the day for IV fluids. Darby went home with medication and special food. She might not be here today if not for this clinic. Thank you Dr. Weikel and staff for taking such great care of our precious senior hound dog.

Had 5 week old kittens that were very sick with kitty parvo. These folks told me what I needed to do and they both lived thru it and the other 3 kittens didn’t even get sick- Awesome experience considering it could have gone deadly bad. Thank you
