I shop here on a daily basis store is always clean probably one of the cleanest I’ve seen so far and the staff will go above and beyond to help you my card wouldn’t work on self check out the manager was very nice and helped me figure everything out.

The other negative reviews are not exaggerations. I rarely leave negative reviews, but hoping corporate takes notice. I don’t know why people go to a job if they give the impression they hate their job, and take it out on the people for products in the store that pays their salaries. Asking for help in this store is met with cold looks from employees, and a sense as though you’re bothering them. Asking a simple question like “hey, do you guys carry this item?” is met with the response “if I had it, then it would have been out here”, like, is it my fault you hate your life that you have to take it out on me? There is serious mismanagement in this store, and the attitude that is felt is since this is a rural town, then whoever manages this store feels it’s ok to foster a climate of “well they’re gonna have to come in here and buy from us anyways, we’re the only store for miles, so we don’t owe them actual customer service, they owe us their business..” is the mentality that’s felt. They barely even look you in the eye. I love the store, but the people running it are really anti social weirdos who have no business working in any retail customer interfacing job.

Awesome young male employee (who typically wears his cap turned backwards) found just what I needed for a Book Character Costume . His relentless searching & refusing to give up on the frantic search, ended a few minutes later with Just What I Needed- and, the price was fabulous…..since I would only use it, maybe , once a year. I don’t know his name - but, he searched high and low until he found just what this Nana needed…at the moment🎈🎈. Never stocked correctly rude employees and they always blaming corporate for not having stuff. Employees don't seem to care about the way they present themselves. Make sure you use the app to check the prices on things. They also don't give the correct change or they snatch money from your hands.

Arrived at the store at 9:52 Pm all I needed to purchase was coffee.. the MANAGER had already locked the door and wouldn't let me in. The store advertises it is OPEN until 10:00. He closed early which is fine I guess but this so called manager being rude and smart aleck is NOT acceptable. I spend A LOT of money at this store but they have gotten my last dollar.. save yourself the trouble and drive to Little Giant. At least they aren't rude to their customers and the sign says open till 10:00 they don't lock the door until 10:00 or after.. RANT OVER.

Angela is always so pleasant and helpful! She's definitely my motivation for revisiting this location, as other employees have made me feel as if I am an inconvenience to them. I do like that this location seems to keep products readily available and on the shelves regularly and it is a clean store.

Very nice new store, still not fully stocked. Needed some things Sunday before company came over and looked up the store on Google said it opens at 8am. Still waiting for that @ 830. 6 or more cars have pulled up, some walked to the door, some waited a bit and then they all left. Looked up on Google and it said open......not correct. Whomever was to open obviously forgot or slept late?? 833 am still closed gotta go to grocery store

Store is still not stocked MONTHS LATER! Staff is extremely rude!!!! The self checkout never rings stuff up right!!!!! I thought it was going to be convenient, but its not at all. I still end up having to go to the grocery store anyway.

The NEW DG MARKET IN WHITESBURG IS AWESOME!! It is super clean- including the parking lot! Once they get fully stocked it will have everything you could need for a meal. The meats are a little pricey but I'll gladly pay for the convenience. The produce is nice + they even have heads of cauliflower and fresh Bell Peppers! However, if this store ever starts to look like the old DG that just closed or that disgusting DG in Clem I'll stop going.Just Super Excited for Whitesburg. We truly needed this!

You can pretty much find everything you go there for in the first place, but here lately they're not keeping stocked up on items and they don't ever really have much products and things for your pets that are necessities. Like worm medicine, ear cleanser, and not a very good selection of pet shampoos, but a fairly good selection on pet food.

Always under stocked on everything blames corporate for everything and they don't seem to want to do their jobs or something also we go in there because it's convenient and spend like 200 to 300 a month and they want to do trespassing on us like come on just because we are speaking up for the fact that nothing is stocked correctly.

Staff was new. This time they had a new guy working. He was friendly, helpful, and seemed to enjoy his day at work. The store had 2 items without price labels and he gladly looked up the prices for me.

It's convenient, prices are about the same as Walmart. If they could keep their dry goods shelves stocked would be wonderful. I shop at three different Dollar General Stores all have the same problem.

I just wanted to thank the girl that works at the Dollar General in Whitesburg , not sure of her name young girl long straight blondish brown hair after I realized i didn't have my debit card with me i tried to stay under the amount of cash i had but went over like 5 dollars, when i told her to take a couple items back off so i wasn't over she simply and kindly said no. Reached in her pocket and paid the difference and when i told her i would come pay her back she once again said no, its people like this that give me hope that their just might be a few good hearted people in this little town. So the young lady i send a sincere THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS 💙💚💛🧡

It doesn't have as wide a selection as other Dollar General stores located nearby, but it's closer to home and much more convenient. However, oftentimes, many of its usual products we use are out of stock time and time again. It's very frustrating. Out-of-stock items do happen occasionally, and that's to be expected, but some things haven't been in stock for three months or longer. I realize that this may have been due in part to the pandemic, but with food being an essential item, both food delivery and retail sales have all continued to operate throughout the pandemic, so most food should be being delivered regularly and there should not be any continuous shortages of any regularly purchased foods by now. Yet still there are the same empty shelves week after week, month after month. I'm becoming quite exasperated about the missing products and am considering shopping elsewhere.

Cashier was slow as Christmas, a couple items did'nt want to scan. Had to tell her to try the hand held unit and it worked. My wife has a severe hadicap and almost went down in the store because it took so long. Not good at all.

The store was horrendously wrecked. They very little of what I had on my list. The advertisement coupons were of no help since they had none of what was advertised. Upside? The lady who worked there was nice. I'll not go there again.

i enjoyed my shopping experience in the dollar store. they had everything I came in to get. the service I got was exceptional and super super friendly. the prices were exceptionally reasonable. I have no reason to complain

There is stock all over the place. You can barely walk through the aisles. It's dirty, cluttered, and poorly managed. Someone is going to get hurt with the mess they have in there.

The parking lot is terribly designed nearly impossible to get in there when it gets busy. Other than that fine place to get things you don't want to drive any farther for.
