I hesitate to write about this because the staff at the front desk did their absolute best to assist me in an emergency situation but the room is infested. My boyfriend fell ill heading back to Virginia from Alabama and stopped at a rest stop to try and get well but he needed somewhere to stay to recover. This location was 3 mins from him so he gathered enough strength to make it and once I called from VA to the front desk to describe the situation, the young lady got him a room as fast as possible. She informed that the TV wasn’t working but he accepted due to the dire situation. After he had not improved and he went silent while trying to recover (his phone died while he was sleep) I tried to call later that night to check on him by asking the front desk to call his room. A lady with an (assumed) Indian accent answered pretty flustered and informed me that she was trying to connect me but the phone was broken. I would later learn that the phone was not broken, but it was a new system the staff had not been yet trained on how to transfer calls. After a final attempt, however and describing the situation with be being concerned 9 hours away, she softened and assisted with a wellness check and called me to update me, which I appreciated. After my boyfriend didn’t improve into the next day, I ended up having to fly in to Columbus to pick him up to drive him back the 9 hours home. They stated they gave him a reduced rate for the days he had to stay due to the situation, but when I finally arrived I was NOT prepared for the condition of the room in its totality. The TV not working was the least of the concerns. By this time, my boyfriend’s condition had improved enough for him to share that while he was out he could feel bugs and roaches crawling on him in the bed. He stated over the 2 days he stayed he killed several roaches throughout the stay and I got a first hand experience in trying to stave off the creatures myself. I killed so many in the less than 8 hours I’ve been here. We left the lights on it was so bad because we didn’t want more that what we had seen to come out. I had brought some sheets and a pillow case to lay on just in case and I DEFINITELY needed it, but also I’m so afraid of taking something back home that I will be leaving said sheets and pillowcases here. Mold is covering the shower ceiling. Condensation is all over the walls and has pooled at the front door. I used the bathroom at the gas station next door because it was no way I even wanted to hover over the toilet. Everything I have is sealed up in a bag to avoid “hitchhikers” as we make our way back to VA. I say this to say while I appreciated the efforts and compassion of the staff to help in this unprecedented emergency situation, I will never ever stay here again. This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Ever.

TLDR: Rude. Non-smoking room smelled of smoke. 2 cockroaches seen. Stains on the bed. Loads of mold on the ceiling of the bathroom (black mold?? It was dark). All that for $80!! Worst motel/hotel I've ever stayed at.From the get-go this was a horrible experience. We were driving into the night to get further along our car trip, so we stopped in the area to sleep for a bit. Advertising itself as a 24/7 motel, we decided to try booking Red Roof. When we called trying to get a room at the Red Roof down the road (with a 4.0 rating), they didn't pick up, so we were directed to book this one. Worst mistake we've made in a while.Talking to the lady at the front desk, she was angry that we came so late and angrily said "You STILL have to check out at 11am tomorrow". Yes, we knew how hotels work....She then said she'd "let us stay". We had literally already paid for the night on the phone, so of course she had to.Getting into our non-smoking room, it reeked of smoke, we saw 2 cockroaches before we decided to just look away. The bathroom was covered in dark mold (maybe black mold??). The sheets and cover were stained. Everything was disgusting. It was too late to move and we needed some sleep, so we slept through the night as much as we could. The next morning, we did not take showers because we couldn't bring ourselves to go into the bathroom for long enough for that.We woke up to construction happening all around us at around 7am and got out of there as quickly as we could.I asked for a refund for the reprehensible state of the room and the stay and all I got was some Red Roof Inn points (enough for half a stay). I will never be going back to another Red Roof Inn after this experience. It was disgusting. I've stayed in some pretty bad places to just have a bed, but never one this bad that, on top of everything, cost $80!Safety: It looked like black mold in the room. Do not go here. Even if it was not black mold and just regular mold, I'd still consider it unsafe.

Pulled up about 10pm, the lobby was closed, with a note directing visitors to the night window. Someone's full piss jug was sitting next to it, was still there by the time I went to check out in the morning. Went to the room, was greeted by some insects scurrying around which may or may not have been roaches. The main light switch didn't work, bumbled around in the dark and finally found a functional lamp. Floor hadn't been swept well, at least one dead pillbug in the middle of the room. The AC panel was mostly destroyed, but thankfully what was left of the buttons allowed me to power it on. After running it for a while, puddles began forming on the floor, which I'm sure contributed to the state of the flooring - it was coming up in spots. In general, the room looked run down. The bedding was mostly clean, but stained. The bathroom area was clean enough, but there were no towels.I got a decent night's sleep, so the room performed the necessary function, but I would absolutely not stay here again. In general i think hotels massively over charge for what they provide, and i realize $85 after tax is dirt cheap these days, but next time I'd definitely spend a little more rather than stay here.

I stayed at the place for one night last Sunday because it's close to my husband's job and I didn't want to drive all the way back home that late. I reserved the room over the phone and paid when I got there. The charge was 95 and some change. The next morning around 5 am I got a notification on my phone that I was charged again from the same Red Roof Inn for $90.12. I only stayed one night. The manager emailed me what she said was her copy of a receipt. She asked for me to email her proof of the second charge. I did. And I continued emailing her and got no response. This place stole $90 from me and refuses to give it back. Plus There was blood on one of the sheets and a pillow case and there was only 1 towel in the room.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Place is disgusting. Water damage everywhere, sheets where filthy. The wifi signal didn't reach our first room. They moved us to another, and it was just as bad. Still no wifi. We asked for a refund and was refused. I've traveled the world and stayed in $5 third-world rooms that were cleaner. Go across the river to Valley.Rooms: DisgustingSafety: Didn't feel safe. Cops made rounds through the parking lot.Food & drinks: Not available even though it's advertised.

Office chair...done. stop telling me towels will be ready in half an hour for three hours. There is lots more furniture in this room. This should be considered a legal statement that this particular red roof hotel will be held liable for any and all damages incurred by refusing to provide clean towelsRooms: Not good

I can't tell you much about the actual hotel. They canceled my 3 reservations at 4:15pm the day of checkin and have provided terrible customer service regarding the cancelled visit.Somehow, if any customer cancels, they lose all their money. Yet if the hotel cancels, they are not responsible for any other hotels your group had to bail on to find a hotel 30 miles away.. Their cancellation ended up tripling my costs and I had to stay 30 miles away.

Absolutely terrible stayVery unsafe, the doorknob fell off each time I turned it. When I asked for a different room they said none were available. I asked for a refund to go elsewhere and they said that was not possible. So I had to put a chair in front of the door, cable.... no the TV didn't work, the holes in the walls were wonderful decor. Even the floor itself was plywood. The toilet ran all night long. Just horrible and traveling with children please stay elsewhere.Safety: Terrible unless you need the roaches to guard you while you sleep

Room was very nasty...the shower was disgusting and NO toilet paper in the room. The fridge wasn't on and smelled like rotten food and didn't work... the wifi doesn't pick up on this end of the building....igot this for 2 nights and waited all day to be switched to another room...the lady working up front when I talked to her didn't give 2 shots all these problems was happening didn't offer no money back or to comp us in any kind of way what so ever...place needs to be closed up its so nasty along with rude mgmt....

walking to the roommake some phone callsI get cleaned up & turn the TV on and it doesn't work no back on the remote and the batteries fall out.I ask for a new remote or someone to fix the tv.young kid working the desk said she can't do anything about it.I ask for a different room .. NO we're not allowed to switch rooms she says.I ask to call a manager she won't call or get my problem resolved.I have now a problem that I guess Corporate Red Roof Inn will resolve.

*****ROACHES***** We rented 3 rooms for 2 nights. All 3 rooms were infested with roaches. The rooms were not clean and the bathrooms especially were disgusting. We accidentally left a nice makeup pallet they claimed they threw away because it was “broken” but suddenly found it when we told them it wasn’t broken. The owner/front desk clerk is rude. They gave us 2 towels for a room with 2 beds and they made us turn in a dirty towel to get more towels. Please don’t stay here. Find a room in Lagrange or in Valley. DO NOT STAY HERE!

This is my first time here and so far all is well. The bed is soft and that is a big plus. Cleanliness is most important and it's ok here. Not the best but certainly not the worst either. Some updates are needed for sure, like the paint in the bathroom area and scuffs on the furniture but for the most part, it's pretty good and decent. It's situated between convenient stores and right by the interstate and near many places to eat.

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is for the office staff. They were very nice and personable.As far as the accommodations.....IT'S A HARD NO for me!! The bathtub/shower was FILTHY!!!! Black stuff in the bottom of the tub. The room itself was completely outdated. The bed was comfortable but there was a hair accessory in it that wasnt mine because I have no hair!! The door had no deadbolt or DND sign for outside. I work overnight as a travel nurse, so imagine my surprise and disgust when someone just entered the room while I was in bed!!! The same thing happened again this morning!!The location is horrible. The noise and traffic makes it hard to sleep at night/day. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this motel.

I was assigned and occupied room first off and it just went downhill from there.The next room I was assigned had roaches and the shower didn't work. The room looked like many bad decisions and sketchy nights had been reserved!After being told I would get a partial refund although a full refund had been demanded I have gotten nothing!Dont stay here, just keep on driving! Its not worth it!

If they had a zero star review that’s what I’d give. Staff was great but walked into the room and immediately had to kill two cockroaches crawling on the floor. Room smelled of stale cigarettes. Bedspread was stained and had cigarette burns. Pulled down bed covers and killed two tiny bugs on the sheets. Didn’t wait around to see if there were more. Went to office and told her we weren’t staying and asked for refund. She was apologetic and refunded our money. I do not recommend.

They are remodeling back. We stayed in front room. Walls are crumbling plaster, did not clean room from previous customer. Candy wrappers on floor, leftover food in refrigerator, and comforter had stains and cigarette burn holes. Shower had weak spots in bottom. Towels were stained, and one had cigarette burn holes in it also. Also room had roaches.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here in room 212. We felt welcomed by the entire staff and we were very well taken care of. Our room was clean and the AC was wonderful. Nice big bathtubs with cleanFresh towels and toiletries. The beds were so comfortable with clean sheets and fluffy pillows. We slept great. Very nice Hotel. Very quiet. We will definitely stay here from now on whenever we need a hotel...we couldnt be happier.

1 star because I couldn’t give less. The hotel was advertised at $80 and when we got here they wanted to charge $110. When we were going to leave, they brought it down to $90. My husband agreed and when it was time to pay he was told it was only $90 if we gave them cash. We stayed because every single hotel within an hour radius seemed to be booked due to some sport competitions in the area. The walls are dirty, the bathroom door is dirty, the tub is dirty. When I say dirty, I mean dirty. Not stained or scuffed. Dirty. There’s a hole in the wall with a towel stuffed in it. We were about to go to bed, pulled down the sheets and the pillow cases were unwashed. Husband went to shower, the towels were also unwashed. He went downstairs to ask for clean ones, no refund or complaint to file, just wanted clean items. The lady behind the desk flipped out telling him he should have reported it within 15 minutes and telling him it wasn’t her responsibility to replace our things. This place is creepy. And what you don’t see in the pictures is that it’s nestled in between a gas station and a liquor store so you can make your own assumptions based off that.

I'm lying is this fresh and clean bed right now, and I am fabulously comfortable!!! I made an online reservation, and once I got to the hotel, I was checked in quickly by a very kind gentleman.The room is a fabulous offer for the price! New and very clean.The hotel is close to a brightly lit Chevron which made me feel very safe in the parking lot, but with my curtains pulled, I can't tell anything is out there.The air conditioner was already set on really cool and it is keeping the room so cool I can sleep under the covers and be comfortable. Rare for me!!While the hotel is pretty close to an interstate and a highway where my room is located, I'm hearing very little traffic noise.So overall, this is a hidden gem at an amazing price!!

So.. I stayed here for a work trip and soon after opening the door realized this would be quite the experience. I'm not a high class individual, but I do expect a particular standard when staying in a hotel.-Molded bathroom ceiling.-Burned linens that WERE NOT WASHED.-Roaches. Terribly bad. Has me concerned I'd take them home.-Dirt in corners. Tiling coming up.-Bathroom is despicable. Afraid to even shower.-Lights must be on to keep the Roaches at bay.I'm shocked honestly.If it is a must.. Don't bring your children. Leave your belongings in your vehicle and whatever you must bring in keep sealed.

They have awful WIFI & they don't have any good channels to watch & no phones in the room for front desk or wake up calls. They don't have blow dryer or a coffee maker or a soft drink machine, there's 2 stores on either side but when you are a single mother you don't want to get out and drive to store or walk to the store. Online they say they serve breakfast but that isn't true.They're very pet friendly and that is a huge plus for me so I can take the bad with the good.I love the husband and wife housekeeping team, they're very good and very nice and very professional and they go out of their way for the needs of the guest and always have a smile on their faces 😀.

Had a a plumbing mishap at the house and had to stay somewhere else for a few days. This place was cheap and close to work, and seeing how I've got an expensive home repair to she'll out for, i couldn't spend too much, so I chose it.This place has all the major things that can make a great budget hotel, but so many small things are wrong with it that it ruins all that potential.Some new management could take this place a long way.I'd still recommend staying here over anywhere in town that's cheaper, but if I could afford somewhere else, then noThe mattress is great, the box spring and pillows not so much.The rooms are tidy and clean but the linens, while clean are terribly stained.

This hotel deserves below 1 star. All because of the unprofessional behavior and rudeness of the manager. I wanted to checkout late (6 PM), so I asked manager on the phone, is it possible if I pay a little bit extra money and checkout at 6 PM? She said me you have to pay the full amount. So I said ok. When I reached to the hotel, I thought, if I have to pay whole amount, I will stay 1 more night. So I went to the front desk and paid whole amount and said to the lady over there that I am going to stay 1 more night. The day after that (extra night I wanted to stay) manger called me at 6 PM and said, you were going to checkout today, when are you going to checkout. I said, I went to front office yesterday and paid the whole amount and said I am going to stay 1 more night. We had several phone calls after that because they thought I was lying and finally found that I did pay and stopped calling me. Another day on my checkout day, I wS packing up and trying to checkout she came to my room asked me to come to front office. When I went there she was literally shouting at me saying, I had to let go a reservation because you didn’t checkout. What the hell, if they don’t have clear communication with each other than that’s not my fault, I clearly said to the front lady that I am going to stay one more night. And not only that, since I paid full amount for the room, I have right to have the room for one more night. They can not argue with me just because they could not make 2 times charge from 1 room in single night. If you want to do business then please learn some professionalism and good manners. Things doesn’t work like this, at least not in United States.

I would give this place zero stars if it would let me. My husband and I stopped by late last night and got a room. First of all it was supposed to be a non-smoking room but wasn't, secondly, the air conditioner didn't work, thirdly, it was filthy. We walked in and walked right back out and got a refund. No one should stay here for any reason. The clientele was questionable at best.
