Another great experience with Dr. Bangle at Oconee Vet. What is the test of a vet during pet ownership? When your animal requires care and then continued care. That compassionate care is what we have received from Dr. Bangle and his staff. They are kind, thorough, cost aware, and strive for quality of life. Yesterday my almost 13 yr old, who had a bout with vestibular in January, was seen by Dr. Bangle who completed a thorough search physical, updated vaccinations, and discussed arthritis options that are natural and medicine based. Great vet!

We take all 3 of our pets to Oconee Vet. The doctors, staff, and service are all fabulous! We recently had an emergency with one of our cats and they bent over backwards to help us. We were traveling - it was a stressful mess for us - but they were amazing. We got frequent updates and phone calls from the doctor (Dr. Stortz) - it really put our minds at ease knowing she was in such good and caring hands (both are important to us!). Our dog in having a surgical procedure in a couple of weeks and we are so thankful we have Oconee Vet to take care of her.

Lora is the absolute best. She’s so kind and willing to help. Dr. Bangle is wonderful with our ever growing pack. He really makes us feel like confident pet owners. All of the techs and assistants have been amazing. They love on all of our babies, you can truly tell they love animals. They put me at ease even when I have to do a drop off for dental. I can’t say enough good things about this clinic.

Highly recommend Dr. Stortz and Dr. Bangle at Oconee Veterinary Hospital. They are very professional, knowledgable, take great care of their patients, and have always been very accommodating in their schedule. Appointments are timely and the vet techs are well trained in making the pets feel comfortable at every visit.

I have been taking my dogs to Oconee Vet Hospital for several years and have been so happy with everyone there. The vets, techs, and staff are incredibly kind and helpful. They never try to nickel and dime you or send you home with unnecessary supplements or medications.The staff provided incredible care to my 18 year old dog in the last years of his life. He did hydrotherapy and laser therapy regularly and I know that they helped him (and us humans) be as comfortable as possible until his time. I could not recommend this vet more.

This clinic's outright REFUSAL to see an exiting patient, my dog, on the Monday morning following her vomiting red blood on a late Saturday night. First excuse was no appt/no time to see her and 2nd excuse was clinic didn't have proper equipment for such problems. Clinic's solution was "take your dog to UGA." NO CONCERNS about pet but readiy suggested $1,000 min visit at UGA. Interestingly, another clinic we have NEVER used (Mars Hill Animal Clinic) saw my dog Monday mid-morning and after through checkup sent us home with meds and Rx food. My pet took a week to recover but she's at 100% NO THANKS TO Oconee Vet "Hospital."

Fantastic group. Everyone is great with my three dogs and cat. I am often offered a choice of which veterinarian I’d like for their appointments. I always say either is fine since both doctors are knowledgeable and thorough. The vet assistants are wonderful and make sure my pets get lots of attention. The office always follows up, even for basic shots, to make sure my little guys are doing well.

I am a former employee as a technician for 3 years. Dr. Bangle and Dr. Stortz have been great! They are knowledgeable and professional, they are even extremely helpful and caring to their staff. I left due to a life change and moved but I am happy with the knowledge I gained during my time there. They provide physical therapy, laser therapy, surgery and general medicine for animals in need. Dr. Stortz can see exotic pets as well. Their play yard for day patients and boarding patients is large and the staff finds time to play with your pet. During summer they will have a dog pool for the water lovers as well! If you are looking for a reasonably priced practice that has compassion behind it, this is the place. They know and recognize clients and their pets, which isn't a quality you find everywhere. Thank you guys for taking me on and for the help that has always been provided for my boy, Motor, and myself!

They go above and beyond. They are kind and caring, extremely knowledgeable, and responsive. Lora is an absolute treasure, and fantastic at her job. The techs get to know your pet, so boarding is more comfortable, and the doctors are top-notch. We’ve been taking our pets there for 25 years, and highly recommend.

I've been taking my two dogs to Dr. Bangle & Dr. Stortz for over a decade. What I appreciate most is the empathy they have with their approach to veterinary medicine. Luckily my old dog Lincoln lived a long & healthy life, and in his latter years, the docs were excellent at diagnosing issues & prescribing medications that helped keep Lincoln comfortable as his body aged. If you want a vet who approaches veterinary medicine with an "if this were my pet" empathic approach, I'd highly recommend Oconee Vet Hospital.

My dog is not a fan of going to the vet (I adopted her when she was 5 and I don't think she had ever been to the vet before) , but Oconee Veterinary Hospital is so patient and kind with her. Even when Ruby screams and is temperamental during her appointment, the vets are understanding and compassionate. Ruby even gave the Vet Tech a little kiss after her last visit. Totally recommend!!

I've been taking my two dogs to Oconee Vet for almost two years and they are fantastic. We send them there for grooming, where we drop them off and pick them up after work. We also do all our check ups there. The best part is, they mail us reminders of when we need certain shots or when check ups are needed. The staff there know us and my dogs by name and I know they are in good hands. I recommend with the utmost enthusiasm!
