Stopped by around 9pm on a Friday night to grab a bite to eat. I ordered a double cheeseburger combo with a large coke. The fries weren't all that great and almost taste like they were cooked in the same oil with chicken and other deep fried items.My burger was hot for the most part. It was overly packed with ketchup, mustard, and mayo. Tasted alright but I wouldn't say it was the best burger I had.Staff at the drive thru was extremely friendly and seemed happy to want to work there

The people working at this location are always courteous and professional. Beyond those lovely souls, however, I can't think of a single reason to eat at any DQ ever again. Over the last two years, I have stopped here on my way home several times. I've also recently tried the other Athens locations in the same time, and in neighboring towns like Commerce, Banks Crossing, Elberton, Jefferson and Winder.Bottom Line: The quality of the food, and the processes and parameters for preparing and serving the food, seem to be uniformly disappointing.Just as examples of a procedural standard that is consistently a problem is ubiquitous across the entire selection of sandwiches. The meat tastes like it was boiled in water that previously soaked charcoal. It has a texture like a warm, slimy sponge and doesn't have all the qualities of "meat" even if I can't articulate those which are missing, really. And the worst part, the solution for covering up the obvious choice to use substandard ingredients is to just DROWN the entire sandwich in condiments. At every single location, a basic cheeseburger contains enough ketchup and mustard for a dozen or more sandwiches. Even when you order it with "light ketchup and mustard" it seems like never works out that stays on the sandwich instead of running everywhere from all sides.It's not the people who work at thesetypee of fast food chains that suck, really. It's all of us who continue to give them our business. It seems we are eager to accept this corporate presumption that most people are too dependent to care about anything long enough to file an actionable complaint, and we'll take whatever they tell us to buy.Thanks, DQ, for reminding me that I have standards. In the pursuit of them, I think I'm officially done with all fast food.

I asked for a plain (and I said, meat, cheese and bread only)cheese burger meal. The cheeseburger was smothered with pickles ketchup and mustard. I could not eat it at all. I could only eat the fries and Sunday. The tea was not very sweet and was weak. Very disappointed. I was very hungry and I thought I could get what I ordered. This was not the first time this has happened.

Wasn’t their finest moment this evening. Drive through moved slow although it wasn’t backed up. Drive through speaker/mic didn’t seem to be functioning well as we had to repeat things several times. Finally got to the window was handed a melted blizzard. I asked which flavor it was, was told he didn’t know. Handed me 3 blizzards although I ordered 2 blizzards and a dipped cone. Asked to verify my order was basically told I ordered 3 blizzards, although I know that the order repeated to me through the drive through speaker. Didn’t push and took the blizzard, although all three were melted at hand off.

Today was the third time in a row that I’ve ordered blizzards for my kids and there was literally nothing in them. We ordered the blizzard of the month, caramel fudge cheesecake, and there was literally no fudge and hardly any caramel in it- just ice cream. When I asked that they add the fudge chunks, I sat in line and waited to have one girl with AirPods in tell me “it doesn’t come with fudge” and another older employee come to the window, look at me and then roll her eyes. Classic example of things getting more expensive while the quality and service gets worse. This place is consistently bad and the worst Dairy Queen I’ve ever been to. We will not be going here ever again.

Stood outside for a while waiting for them to open at 11 am as written on door to buy an ice cream cake. Finally noticed by an employee who unlocked the door to tell us drive through only. I explained we needed to see the cakes to buy one. Again was rudely told drive through only with no explanation or apology. Took our business up the road to bask in robins with no problem.

I'm incredibly disappointed and infuriated with my recent experience at Dairy Queen! For weeks, they haven't restocked mini size blizzard cups and won't give an explanation as to why or when they’ll get them back. My family and I are done with this Dairy Queen and will not be returning. Their customer service and lack of consideration for loyal customers are appalling. Go somewhere else if you have a choice.

Great food! I was pleasantly surprised as I don't usually grab food at a Dairy Queen because I haven't had good experiences with anything but their ice cream, but I was starving and so I got a hamburger too and this thing was fantastic! Best fast food burger I have had...ever probably.

UPDATE: Faye the manager called and made things right, thank you Faye! If I could give zero stars I would. Waited in line for 25 minutes ordered and NONE of the food was correct! They even got the blizzard flavor wrong! Tried to call and they don't answer the phone. Come on...y'all can do better than this!

My wife and I stopped by this evening and after ordering a Med. Strawberry Blizzard and a Small Milkshake I was told the total for the order would be given at the window. This was the first time that had ever happened and now I know why. When she told me the total was $10.57 I said "What"? When she repeated it I said " For a medium blizzard and small shake, you've got to be kidding me". She really didn't say anything. I realize the young lady didn't have anything to do with the prices and I'm sorry if I was rude but I definitely will think twice about going back to DQ with those prices. I'll get a 6 pack of Klondike bars from Publix for $4.29 and enjoy!

Went to the drive thru and the order was incorrect. We asked them to correct it and the young lady with red braids got an attitude. She stated that we should have said what we wanted and continued to rumble on. We asked for a refund and she complained about that. Never again. Customer service and the food sucks including the cashier and the rude manager.

Had a terrible experience at the drive through. Ordered a small vanilla shake and the price came to $4.80. My husband questioned this and had to endure a tirade by the clerk how everyone is suffering and this price is what it is. The average cost of a small vanilla shake from DQ is about $3.25. Aside from the price being too high we reject this extra rude behavior by this employee. We will not return to this DQ for certain and will think very hard to give any DQ business in the future.Linda Smith

Faye the manager at this Dairy Queen is awesome. Her customer service skills are above and beyond the rest. She makes the best banana split blizzard of any Diary Queen that I have visited. Perfection. Thanks for making this customer feel special highly recommend for blizzards

The ice cream was really good. The employee that waited on us was really friendly. The rules you have in place are stupid. You can't sit inside only outside. You don't have to wear a mask inside your employees wear not wearing a mask, but you can't sit inside. Don't make no sense...

Barely any candy in the blizzards. I paid the high amount for “extra candy” and it is still vanilla soft serve ice cream with a hint of Reese’s. I’m sorry but I don’t know what it takes to just get a good blizzard like the picture with candy in it. I wouldn’t bother reviewing but when I asked if I could please have more candy since I paid for extra I felt terrible for wasting the cashiers time, and I just don’t appreciate customer service like that. :/Cookout makes amazing milkshakes with candy in them.

I have been here time and time again! It's a pretty standard Dairy Queen. Nothing makes it really stand out or seem superior to other DQ locations, but it also doesn't lack anything other places seem to have. Not my favorite DQ, but the food is still pretty good, service is pretty quick and nice. I did notice they didn't deliver our blizzards upside-down last visit which I thought was a requirement. But everything was tasty anyway, so I'm not really worried about it.

After I ordered here I though about why the price seemed so high. I realized they up charged me for a large drink and fries without asking but was actually served a medium sized fries and drink. Did not offer a receipt so I could prove it.

Ordered chili dog and got hot with light musturd and ketchup, really..... I only went there for a simple chili dog. Please check your order. PS. The hotdog looks very old. I thru the entire meal in the trash. It wasn't fit for a cat nor dog and definitely wasn't fit for me.

This place is horrible. This morning, i went to DQ trying to get my regular. I see the typical people i always do on my saturday mornings! But today, i had a cockroach egg in my drink, the cashier threw my change at me, and when i asked for atleast an apology they just shrug their soldiers. It was a couple of other people getting this kind of treatment!

This place use to have great food but has gotten horrible in the past few months. They microwaved my burger so hot you couldn't eat it for 10 minutes then the bread was hard from being microwaved. They forgot my chicken wrap twice after asking for it.

We have lived in Oconee for a # of years and have enjoyed the original DQ, we went so often when we'd place our order in the speaker, the attendant knew who we were by our voices and what we ordered, you had a great experience and it was a hometown feel, you felt they appreciated your business.My problem is when they opened their new location on Hog Mtn. Rd. I guess they have grown too big to appreciate us. We have received less than subpar service, quality and product which you pay a premium price for. We go there sometimes multiple times a week and more times than not we either receive the wrong order, incomplete or less than desirable. They rarely deliver the blizzards upside down as they're advertised because the lengthy wait until we get to the window it's so melted.After we arrived home and realized the Blizzard was missing an important ingredient, (the chocolate chunks, without it, I may as well of ordered a strawberry ice cream for a lot less $) I called the location & asked to speak to the Mgr. and the young lady said she was the shift Mgr., Elyse, after explaining the frequent problems we have been experiencing, she rudely asked me what I would like her to do??? I'm sure if I have to tell you, you don't need to be in that position, You either need further training or get a job you enjoy and can function at without too much effort. If it were my business, I would want to know how the customer is enjoying their experience and how we could improve. We probably wont be back!
