Nathan is very knowledgeable and a funny guy to chat with. He’s very helpful in terms on helping you narrow down what you are looking for or any modification you’d like to make to your machine! The shop is beautiful and definitely worth visiting. Definitely recommend boxerworks for anything classic bmw motorcycles. If you find a barn find of a BMW R50, Nathan’s the guy to bring it to!

Boxerworks has not worked on my motorcycle, primarily because I have a Kawasaki and that is a make they don't service. However, I would like to commend them for helping me out in a tough situation. My motorcycle stalled out in the middle of the county. It was getting late on a Friday afternoon and I knew I had to get the motorcycle off the street and home. In desperation, I called Boxerworks to ask if they would send someone to help me get the bike home. Nathan tried to diagnose the problem over the phone but to no avail. Although, they were extremely busy at the time and they knew there was no way I was going to have the bike serviced by them since it was a Kawasaki, still, they sent a person (Garrett) to pick me and the bike up and deliver us home. This is something they definitely did not have to do. To top it off, after loading and dropping the bike and me off, Garrett didn't want to charge me. I insisted and he reluctantly accepted. Super nice guy. Point is, there was little to be gained by the shop by helping me out. But Nathan and Garrett did. Reading the other reviews about this business, I believe they are honest, knowledgeable, and good people. If I had a BMW, I would have no reservation taking it to them for service.

It’s never fun breaking down on a long trip, but something good can come from the experience. My old GS suffered a driveline failure and Boxerworks took me in immediately, supplied a lift, access to all tools and parts needed to do the repair work, and most importantly provided the expertise to guide our amateur efforts to a successful completion. The experience became a pleasant opportunity to meet good folks – Nathan, Lee, and James - and to gain appreciation for independent service shops. I don’t live in Georgia but highly recommend Boxerworks as the place for quality service and advice.

Great customer service and communication is a LOST ART these days but I'll say my experience with Nathan and Boxer Works EXCELS in this area. I inquired originally about a side stand and some vapor blasting but that lead to more dialog about my project... in the end I was so impressed with Nathan and his willingness to actually BE HELPFUL I took the bike to him to have him and his team do all the work. So impressed by his knowledge, communication, and his willingness to go over and above for me on my R80 project... Plus, he's just a deep well of experience in both life and Airheads and found my time with him to be delightful and educational. 5 stars all the way!!!Services: Engine repair, Oil change

Nathan is the best technical expert on BMW air heads that I have ever met. My BMW R80 is 38 years old and has been serviced by Boxerworks for decades. The detailed work on your situation is outstanding and you are provided with information on the repair or upgrade regularly. Pricing is always fair and transparent. Every improvement idea or service that Nathan has recommended has been excellent. These folks work 6 days a week moving the bikes through their quality process. I would never consider taking my BMW anywhere else and clearly they stay super busy for a reason.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Tires, Engine repair, Oil change

Excellent work at fair prices. They do an especially good job of explaining what is wrong with your bike and why it costs so much to fix. Fast, yet careful tire mounting and wheel balancing for much less than any dealer. Good guys who love motorcycles. (I think you have to own about ten to even work there.)

I took my bike to this facility Sept 2019 for a transmission repair. They had the bike until Aug 2020. They dismantled the bike and could not figure out how to reassemble it. After several calls trying to hurry them up as I wanted to ride it before I died of old age. I finally went in August to get the bike and any parts as it was still disassembled. I had to take it to another mechanic which reassembled it and actually got it running. As far as I'm concerned , I wouldnt trust this shop to do a thing to a bike. Buyer beware!!!!!!Service: Steering & suspension repair

Great group of guys. Very informative, helpful and nice. They have the best shop prices within a 100 mile radius. As a new rider myself, I've been to a few bike shops were I've been talked down to or they made me feel kinda dumb for not knowing everything. Definitely NOT the case at Boxerworks. Check them out, you won't regret it!

These guys are amazing! I was riding town creek trails on my ktm adventure bike when my oil filter had a blow out and was dumping all my oil. I was able to limp it to this shop for some emergency repairs. Lee and nathan were busy working on customers bikes when I arrived out of the blue with a bike dumping oil in their parking lot. It was close to closing time, and they were super friendly and let me borrow some tools and get a new oil filter so I could fix my bike in their parking lot. I had the best experience out of any motorcycle shop I have ever been to here. I will recommend this shop to anyone asking where to take their bike. Thanks a bunch Lee and Nathan.

Dean, Nathan and the crew are one of the best bike mechanics i have had the pleasure of meeting. Even though they are Beamer specialists, Dean is exemplary in his care of my 2011 Busa. Honest, hard-working, informative, they have always given me sound advice and awesome service, always on time with work as promised. Here you get more than you pay for - peace of mind that they care and your safety is their priority!

SO happy!! Originally got my bike fixed at a shop in Duluth. Lasted about 1 week until it stopped running, and that shop was too far away for me to take it back. So I called BoxerWorks, they picked up my bike since I did not have a way to get it there, and it was fixed within a week during peak season! The bike runs amazing now, and these guys really know what they're doing. On top of that, they're very helpful, honest men. I will definitely be coming to BoxerWorks for any and all future bike repairs, and I HIGHLY recommend them. Thanks you guys!!!

Changing my review from 5 stars because of recent incident. Brought bike in December for tire change and regular maintenance including timing adjustment. I had an air filter and left it with the bike since they'd need to take the tank off anyway and I wanted to save on labor. Bike was there for a while and they didn't start on it until I called, I wanted to ride it during the break and they claimed they didn't know it needed to be done any time soon. I told them to skip the maintenance and just do the tires if it would be faster for me to get the bike back. Tires were replaced and the air filter was put on but not the timing job, which means the labor I wanted to save was wasted and I didn't get it back as soon as I could have. The next day after I get it back, I go to start the bike and it won't start. I jump it, it seems to work fine, drive it home, and it won't turn off from the killswitch, ignition, or kickstand switch, I have to stall it then pull the battery cable. I get it started and bring it back, Lee says it's the ignition. I leave it and get it in January. After a week or two, the bike doesn't start again. I get a brand new battery and put it in, in case that's the problem. That's not it because when it rains, the bike goes dead and I can't shut it off when I start it just like before - looks like it's a water thing getting into some wires, which hadn't ever happened in the 4 years since I bought it new. Bring it back to Lee but he says it's the ignition *AGAIN*, I leave it. He keeps it until MAY. I get the bike back and it has a different battery in it, claims the new one I put in was bad. I drive away and after starting the bike a few times, it doesn't start. I jump it and have the battery tested and turns out it's a bad battery. I have to buy another one, go to Lee, and he gives me money for the battery when I hassle him about it. I take the other battery he took out, have it tested, and it turns out it works, been using it since. However, the not-turning-off issue is still happening even after 2 ignitions jobs that were obviously not needed in the first place and caused me to have to have 2 different keys for my bike now that the ignition doesn't match the tank or underseat access, reducing the value of the bike and not fixing the issue that was probably Lee's fault to begin with when he mucked around under my gas tank to replace an air filter I asked him not to replace. I'm never going back here.

This is a bikers paradise. Operated and managed by proffesionals that are passionate about what we do....ride, and love our two wheeled wonders. I live in Florida and was retrning from a ride to Nova Scotia on my BMW K 1200 GT. I thought I would face a tire change at some point but I was getting close to home and had hoped I'd make it back and just deal with a local bike shop. Outside of Greenville I noticed that the front tire wasn't exactly as healthy as I wanted, knowing I'd have some bad roads ahead due to Irma and the likelihood of having to get off the main roadways. Both of which turned out to be true. Anyway getting closer to Atlanta or deciding to go through Athens I stopped at US 441, did some inquiries and was given the name and number of Boxerworks. I ended up speaking to Lee, he checked his inventory and had the exact tire I needed. He also said that if I came by before closing he would be glad to replace the tire and get me on my way home quickly. I assured him I would be there soon and within 30-45 minutes I was there and he commenced working on it immediately. Now let me explain that this is a very busy and productive shop, however these people are committed to riders, and as others have attested in the reviews, they will go beyond the extra mile to help a stranded sojurner. They ride and are compassionate about the fellow biker. This is as one reviewer said , "A much better alternative to the dealerships". Their combined knowledge of motorcycles is nothing less than impressive. Even though Pensacola is about 70 miles closer I will be compelled to use Boxerworks in the future. All of you passing by the area or that own bikes not under the warranty coverage need to patronize this place. In addition go by and look at all the vintage Airhead Beemers, the place is a true gem. Thanks again to Lee for helping me get home.

Dont think I will ever go back to boxer works. I brought my bike in 4 times to fix what was wrong with it. Each time they said they had fixed it and the same problem resurfaced. The last time I brought it i they told me they FINALLY figured out what was wrong with it and the labor alone would be $500-$600 and absolutely refused to credit any of the previous work towards that repair. So in the long run I spent close to $500 and alot of time trying to get a bike fixed that stayed broken. Be careful with these folks.

Interesting little shop that specializes in not specializing in BMWs. They also do Ducatis. The shop manager (owner?) is a wealth of knowledge and can walk you through any upgrade, repair, or restoration you can think of. Looking at the quality of work on-site, I look forward to seeing what he can do with my bike!

These guys are legit!!! Took my 1983 BMW R80rt in for a bunch of routine stuff for a 32yo motorcycle. They kept me informed all along way with photos I might add and gave me plenty of options. The old girl has never run or handled so good! Doesnt have to be a BMW if its got two wheels bring it there!! Well worth the drive from Atlanta.Wish they worked on cars.

Over the years I've had many things done by Nathan, Dean, and others at Boxerworks-Service. The shop is well run and full of expertise. Unlike some dealers, they will work on almost anything from Harleys to Hondas two or four wheel. They also make awesome custom "Beemer-Glide" motorcycles that are a unique blend of custom frame work and BMW airhead motors. This shop is honest and highly skilled. Drop by and take a look. Talk to Nathan or any of the others. It's a pleasure to know that this shop is ready to help no matter what kind of motorcycle you own.

If the wait time is a measure of quality you are in the right place. they are always packed with bikes to work on. They do great work and are honest with you on both what needs to happen and how long it will take them.

I went in for an oil filter, and low key take a look at the shop for possible future repairs at this location. I met with Lee, and he was incredibly genuine and knowledgeable. I will definitely be coming back !

The real deal in old world motorcycle shops, but they can also fix new bikes. Good prices, highly entertaining inmates, er, I mean characters. Probably one of their best traits is for riders en route but having issues or needing something, they'll get you going. Plain and simple. Its like Santa's workshop in there, customers, ancients, whizbangs, ATVs, Beemerglide (very cool) and piles of parts.
