I always go to Ace Hardware for their knowledge and customer service but this location is the exception. The older man behind the counter had zero interest in helping customers find things in the store and was very rude to myself and another lady who needed help. I’ll definitely go to other locations from now on.

Don’t get your keys cut here. This was the second time (shame on me). They would not give me a receipt because I did not have a receipt. I assumed they kept it on file. Why else do I give them my phone number as an Ace member? You’d think they’d keep track of your purchases like Home Depot does. Incidentally, that’s where I went to get my keys cut and they do it right EVERY time. Ace is just closer. Lesson learned.I love supporting small and local over big chains but good grief! You’ve got to be better than this.

This store is my first stop if I need anything quick. Well-stocked for some items. this particular visit I needed a washer and I had two young staff members help me find the right washer. saved me a long trip to Home Depot or Lowe’s.

I placed an order for a special item over 10 weeks ago checked on it when I was told to which was one week later. It did not come in so I waited two weeks checked again the order had never been placed. Re-ordered the item a craftsman metric Allen wrench set. And began the waiting process again checked on it a couple of more times, they still had not come in. So today when I went to pick it up it was finally in. Thankful. Until the woman from the back brought it up and snidely remarked that he had been here for a couple of weeks. Because it was a special order and all of the mix ups they knew I was waiting for it they also had my phone number and could’ve called me to let me know that he had come in. All of that didn’t bother me half as much as the snide remarks. I must say that the girl that was at the counter was excellent in her customer service, but whoever is working in the back I’m assuming supervisor position had absolutely no customer service at all in fact she was defensive.

Greeted by several employees as soon as I walked in the store. They helped with all of my selections and they were very friendly as well. Great selection of products and Black Rifle Coffee sold there too.

Always loved our watkinsville hometown ace hdwe.Have placed several online orders with no problem. The last two were terrible! Same front female cashier. Very abrupt, rude, not helpful @ all. I ordered 2 items 4 1/2 hrs before pickup.She said was probably out of stock although when I ordered showed in stock.I was trying to save time by online.I found the items myself in store , had to cancel my online order ( no help from cashier) and pay again for items ! ( with people waiting in line behind me . I apologized to them. )No apology, no thank you, no help from cashier @ all!I will not be placing any more online orders @ this store. I will find items or get a usual helpfulEmployee as in past to help.

This store is usually very helpful with great customer service, but my experience tonight was somewhat uncomfortable. I came in to return a few items I had bought the day before, and ended up not needing. The cashier " Kirk". Was very cold and made me feel uncomfortable. His clothing and attitude were unprofessional he seemed angry.

This is a small town hardware store. There is always someone there willing to help you find what you need. Their stock isn’t expansive, but when you don’t fell like making the trip to the big box stores it’s close and convenient and locally owned and operated.

I love this store. Awesome and convenient location, very helpful and courteous employees. And mostly because it’s one of the few stores that does NOT require masks! If you’re too scared to shop around people without mask I highly suggest to do us all a favor and STAY HOME!

Terrible experience during my few visits to this location. None of the employees ever speak or offer help- they all seem determined not to make eye contact so you won’t ask them anything. On my last visit, I finally asked about the location of shower drains and the brain dead clerk sent me to the wrong location. Independent businesses better wise up and take care of the few customers who shop local.

I’ve been shopping at this Ace Hardware more and more as their prices have been more competitive. I really enjoy the experience of shopping here and they normally have lots of great options and somethings that are hard to find. I highly recommend them for cutting keys, filling propane tanks, etc.

This a a great hardware store. They carry everything. From the smallest nut and bolt, to lawnmowers and beyond. I love it. But would love it more if employees wore masks during this time. That's why a 4 star rather than 5.

It's an ace so it's gonna be good but wait. The cashier was a bit slow and the garden center is small for a store in a (country) suburb. The staff tried to be helpful but we're searching for products as if they were a customer and not a knowledgeable sales associate

Previously visited in November and noticed almost no one was wearing a mask, which made me uneasy, but I was able to keep my distance from folks and get what I needed. Walked in on 2/7/21, and again was one of a few people masked. While looking for the fitting I needed an unmasked employee walked right between me and what I was looking at — close enough to me that we would have touched had I not stepped back — and stood less than two feet from me while never acknowledging my presence. No “excuse me,” “hello” or “get out of my way.” In regular times this would have just been rude. In COVID times it’s rude and foolish. I put everything I planned on buying up and left. I always try to support local businesses, but after this, never again.

Super helpful, friendly, local people running a local hardware store. I'll patronize them every chance I get. They don't always have exactly what I need but almost every time we find some way to make it work and I don't have to wander around hoping I can find someone that can answer my questions.

I needed just one random size wingnut for a battery terminal post that I had ordered from Amazon. As I walked in, I was greeted and asked if I needed any help. I told him what I knew. It was bigger than 1/4, smaller than 3/8, but likely metric (as it was a Nissan part). Also, the threads were kinda funky. Oh, And I want it to be a wing nut. By the time I had rattled all that off he had my "T8 wing nut with funky threads. " excellent service. Five stars.

I enjoy a locally owned hardware store. They have an amazing collection of necessary and useful products. Ace in Butler's Crossing is that kind of store. The staff is friendly and hrlpful too.

The only reason it's not 5 star in my view is lack of stock on a number of Stihl parts, accessories, tree cutting equipment. So it's rather small. I get it.They can make Stihl saw chains on the spot. The ladies doing that know their chains.Matt is great. Knows his business.Easy to know them and work with them. They worked with me.
