We stopped here for one night, on our way to Savanah, but got the flu & couldn't leave. We ended up staying over a week. The host was so nice & helpful. The laundry is nice and very inexpensive. I doubt I'll ever be through here again, but I'd definitely stay hereFood & drinks: Grocery & restaurants are 10 minutes away

I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about making reservations in such an area I knew nothing about. But we absolutely enjoyed this campground. The checkin was a breeze and the people were very personable. We didn’t get to enjoy the walking trails as time didn’t prevail, however, we will definitely be back. I love the family atmosphere. And of course, we were close to shopping and food. Would love to know the history of the area.

A little slice of heaven!🌄This park is tucked away in the beautiful Georgia countryside. It is very scenic and quiet.The campsites are spacious enough to spread out comfortably.The park has several acres of private land that you can walk or ride, for your enjoyment.If you're there for an extended stay, you'll even get to enjoy free entertainment, provided throughout the warm months.Everyone was respectful, during my stay; neighbors and owners alike.I would definitely recommend!

Absolutely wonderfully secluded camping experience! Wonderful being in Georgia because that's where my family came to Philadelphia from back around 1940. Great electricity hook up and Community building with laundry facilities and clean bathroom/shower. The gift shop is a treasure! Most importantly, the Owner/Manager was so genuinely kind and gave helpful tips, for it was our first real camping experience. She was such a blessing to talk with, seemed as warm as family, that we can't wait to go back again.

Literally had the best time ever meeting so many like-minded people in one centralized area! This meet-up was everything I never knew I needed. The location was great too! The RV park was clean and felt very safe. Didn't even close my doors when I walked away from my rig. We had a late party and the owners even came out and brought us some more wood to burn when we ran out. Very hospitable and polite! The restrooms were clean and the venue was perfect. Would definitely return and recommend 👌🏾

Didn't stay, just went to check it out to see if I wanted to roll up in my new RV. It's a soft pass. Nice enough grounds, several open overnight spaces, fairly full long-term. "Dog park" is a small fenced area waaay in the back of property. Only one bathroom/shower stall but good # of machines in laundry. Might be OK for a brief stay.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We only stayed one night but it was really quiet. There were family's out grilling and sitting by fires. The lady running it came.out and greeted us. She showed us our spot and talked to us for about 10 minutes. Showing her kindness and letting us know if we needed anything she is here. My family and I would definitely stay here again.

Quiet, clean and cozy!!! We did our family gathering for Thanksgiving 2022 and we really enjoyed our stay. The owners are very kind and attentive, and we found every we needed for our stay. Highly recommended!! We will return for sure!!

My wife & I read about Warthen RV park while traveling in Oregon - its one of the few African American RV parks in the USA. My wife and I said if we go anywhere near Georgia - we would definitely visit. We kept our word, even though a bit out of our way, we stayed with them for one week. Glad we did!! Great owners & host. We work on the road - and the WIFI was excellent... The place was absolutely spotless, both the shower & laundry facilities & everything was so organized. My wife attributed that to Sophia. We loved our site (11), and met some campers who were part of an ATV club - really great folks. The clientele at the park was diverse, the park was well decorated for XMAS, and everybody was friendly and in a Christmas mood. We will definitely stop by Warthen on our next east coast venture. Thanks Warthen - see you late spring 2021.

This RV park was a great place to bring our family and just relax. This was our first visit to Warthen but it won't be our last. My kids enjoyed the wide open spaces and hearing the whippoorwill's calling at night. Great kids area with swings and slides. Also, enjoyed the walking trails and the volleyball area. Thank you for a wonderful time. We look forward to staying again and next time we're renting the ATV's.

This place is simply amazing!! 5 stars are not enough.We have been here 5 days and Ms Sophie has been the nicest person ever and has saved us no less than 3 times already. The facilities and grounds are immaculate and everyone is so nice and helpful.They have everything you need right on site, i.e. propane, ice, firewood, clean shower facilities, games, laundry facilities and supplies, etc.We will definitely be back.

Just came back from a 3 day weekend at Warthen RV Park. Hubby & kids enjoyed the ATV rides so much! The pavilion was awesome & loaded with games, movies (Black Panther was featured Saturday night) & a nice kitchen set up! So much nature & a breath of fresh air coming from the city 2 the country. The camp hosts were very welcoming & we will definitely be back again & again!

I had the most relaxing time at Warthen RV Park in Warthen, GA. I found it on a list of Black-owned campgrounds, and I booked immediately! This park is just 2 hours East of Atlanta, but you feel like you are thousands of miles away from the noise of the city. That was exactly what I wanted, peace and quiet, and the freedom to do nothing at all.I arrived a few hours late for their 3:00 checkin time, so it was dark when I arrived. However, a nice man helped me back in before he left for the night. The next day, the owner checked on me and even gave me a bag full of pecans! I regret not getting another bag, cuz I smashed those!I stayed for 4 nights, and these were the only people I came close enough to interact with. The laundromat, bathroom, and other facilities were clean and inviting. They offer ATV rentals, which I didn’t know until my last day. I took a short walk around their ATV trails, and there was much more nature to explore. The weather was about 10 degrees warmer than Atlanta. I look forward to visiting this park again, especially once the warm weather returns!@WarthenRVPark is a great place to unwind and just be quiet during the camping off-season. Attended the Fall Family event! Great fun! Decently sized RV spots, family friendly, small ATV riding on-site but other roads available for riding. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will come back!

My wife and I drove to Warthen RV Park from Atlanta to meet with Ms. Sophia for a tour of the campground. She met with us and thoroughly explained its layout and amenities. She also informed us about the activities and other RVers that enjoy the park. Ms. Sophia was very kind and considerate with us as we inquired about her campground. Our visit was very pleasant and we'll certainly be making reservations to spend some time there soon.

We stayed at this family run campground. The sites are a nice size on grass/gravel. You can walk in a large field at the end of the campground. The owners were friendly and came by to check on us. The bathroom, shower and laundry were clean. They are building a Pavilion. Relaxing place to stay.

Might be good match for some just not for EVERYONE. Nice enough. But not good enough for all persons. Watch your charges they come at a + price. You come to expect a surcharge but this much? Fill your tanks at local gas location and save $$$. Also do your laundry in the town of Sandersville it is worth the trip $$. On site handyman is ++$$. He also lacks experience on certain matters.An experienced camper should have no issues however, with this park.Overall a pleasant stay if you keep aware of the previously mentioned issues and don't mind staying in an open field. WiFi is unsecured so watch that along with logging trucks traveling at a high rate of speed. You will also need to watch for deer as one or two are hit each week.There are other campsites available in the Town of Sandersville or Milledgeville Ga. Some are advertised others are not so check your listings.The Town of Milledgeville has several superior camp sites. They are very reasonable and cost the same. They offer more amenities such as, pools, dogs parks and fishing lakes and a view. Scenic Mountain Resort is a great stop and has a great staff. They are close to town which offers shopping, meals and entertainment.I stayed there and they are fantastic.

We had a blast .It was an awesome experience for all of us ,with it being all of ours first time 🏕️ camping . The area was super nice and it was even more romantic for us bc it was a couples camping trip so we had to work together to get through the 🌃 night, from the walk to the bathroom which was nice,to finding more fire wood together ,or just having an overall clean place to have fun was nice. You should really consider this place ,not just for camping fun but for the many other things this place has to offer ,you will be pleased . Thank you ,so much for making my twin and I's 33rd birthday one to remember.

This is a wonderful camp ground . Quiet and peaceful .The camp host Lewis and his family are extremely helpful and neighborly. Really great people .There is traveling RV maintenance that came out to help with reasonably prices.It offer great surroundings for kids and pets .I felt very welcome here and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone pasting through.

This park is far enough removed from the city to have peace and quite but close enough to make quick trips to town or to Hamburg State Park. The owner is simply amazing, any problems (which would be rare) are handled immediately. There is ample room to walk your four legged friends and exercise them without any problem. The internet is fast and stable. There are adequate electrical hookups as well as water and sewage. The rates are great and will not break your budget. I simply cannot say enough about the owners they genualy desire for everyone to have a positive experience. Weather you're spending one night or a few months your needs are well taken care of. There is on site propane filling and a laundry mat with shower and restrooms as well. The lawns are well manicured and rv sites are immaculate and pretty dead on level. If peace and quiet is what you desire for a good night's sleep this is your place. They also participate with Good Sam's Club for additional discounts.

Warthen RV Park is a very spacious and clean campground. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was really impressed that sewage disposals were at each rv hookup site. For the low camping rate, this was a bonus! The common restrooms were kept clean at all times and fully stocked. My only recommendation is that a firepit is built in the common area, since there aren’t any at individual sites. I will definitely be returning to the campground again!

Someone just told me about this place and now I know where I'd like to go! Have been searching RV'S, and finally decided on The Integra Odyssey 24B. All positive comments regarding your site, family friendly, even has a lake! My sister wants an RV too, so that will be our destination! She told me about this place, stating she got it from looking at, The Adventures of Fox and Miles! CAN'T WAIT!

My family had to get our 2nd dose vaccine in Sandersville so we decided to make a 3 day camping trip and visit Warthen RV Park. We had a great time playing corn hole and tic tac toe under the pavilion. We will be going back in August.
