We just recently starting going here back in November when looking for a new vet and the staff is always super friendly and welcoming to our family and all of our pets needs. They’ve seen several of our dogs and even went out of their way to give their condolences during a difficult time for our family when we lost one of our dogs as well. They’ve always gone above and beyond with their service, even to my kids when they’ve come along and I trust them completely with the care of all of our fur babies ♥️ They take the time to listen to any concerns and it’s always a very warm and welcoming environment. I highly recommend this facility and everyone in it!

Dr. Smith and Dr. Bowen are hands down the best, most caring vets I have ever used. They take their time with your fur baby and take the time to explain things to you without making you feel rushed. They call personally with test results and are always gentle with the animals. The staff is always warm and welcoming as well.

We took our 11 year old dachshund in on a Saturday morning (with a moments notice) for her first ever visit to this vet. We thought she had injured her back as she had a history. Unfortunately, she was ill beyond treatment. The gentleman vet. that saw her was immediately able to tell us what was going on. Bloodwork revealed that his diagnosis was correct...her liver had shut down. We opted to bring our pet home where she passed the next day. Monday someone called me from the hospital to check on her. We also received the sweetest sympathy card with hand written notes from the staff. I regret that we did not use this vet for her entire lifespan. I would definitely recommend.

I can't say enough good things about Waleska Animal Hospital. We were away from home when our very old best boy, Luke, took a turn for the worse. I'm so thankful we reached Waleska, and they allowed us to bring him in, as he was suffering. They were so kind and caring to him and me. They took extra time to let me say goodbye, and they were so compassionate. I'll be forever thankful I found them on this sad day.

If we had not taken our much loved little dog, with his hurt paw, to Waleska Animal Hospital, today would have been his birthday.Having his life taken from us and the events that happened after, really were astounding.After he passed, we showed the x rays and meds prescribed by WAH to our regular vet, who tragically was on vacation when he hurt his claw. After seeing the x rays and looking over the meds, our regular vet said it had been a broken toenail, and this had been an unnecessary operation. The inexperienced office manager and vet at WAH gave him too much anesthesia and the wrong kind of pain medicine which caused ulcers in his digestive tract that ultimately killed him.What happened next seemed especially odd. While we were in the dark days of grieving, Waleska Animal sent us a certified letter. We thought it was going to be a “Sorry for your loss ...” letter. We were so emotional from the loss of our dog, we did not bother opening it for a day or so.But when we did, the letter instead explained that they take great pride in their work, they knew we were unhappy with the outcome, so we were banned from coming back to the office or their affiliated offices. It looked like a form letter and came as a surprise. I assume they learned to do this, for some reason, from earlier problems with customers. Of course we were not going back. Their heavy handed inexperience killed our dog. So the point of this letter? It felt like a mean spirited punch, but I assume earlier law suits come into play.I wish we had never gone to WAH. It’s too late for our dog, but by posting this review I hope we can help someone else not to make the same heart wrenching mistake.

The 2 things I have learned from Waleska Animal Hospital.1) Even if something that seems like a minor issue, if it requires anesthesia, you had better make sure your vet knows what he/she is doing and that you trust them.2) And if there is no info online about the vets’ education, work history, or areas of expertise, … it is best to avoid her/him.(Waleska Animal Hospital offers no information on their current vets or employees. In fact I could not find any info on the vets at this practice via Google either.)So ... these are the 2 fatal mistakes we made, and I lost my best friend.Then a week after he passed away, we received a certified letter from them.To my astonishment, the letter was very mean spirited and did not say how sorry they were for our loss. Instead it says how they prided themselves in their care, they knew we were unhappy with their service, so do not to come back to their office or their affiliated offices.Wow! I have no idea where that is coming from and am astounded at the lack of concern or care.I’m happy to share this letter.So that is our sad story. I hope others can avoid the level of grief and sorrow that we are going through.I miss him every day.

The vets and staff there are very knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. They did a great job with both of my dogs nail trims, I was so happy! Last summer I had to put my little Antwon to sleep for kidney failure. They were so kind, the vet, Dr. Hyland even held my Sassie while explaining everything so she would feel included. I love these guys!

I had an emergency with one of my goats, I called my regular vet and they recommended Waleska AH. I called and spoke to the receptionist, who immediately put me through to the farm manager who after getting the run down, had no hesitation in telling me to head that way. Which I appreciate so much. The farm vet, Dr. Nichols I believe, and the technician Gabby(hard to remember as it was a traumatic time for us), were awesome. Very sweet, caring people. Dr. Nicholas was helpful and honest with us about the possible outcomes and we appreciated that more than I can put into words. Sadly, we chose to euthanize Spike as it seemed the best option for him at the time. But they let us be there with him and then offered a foam hoof print, I truly appreciate these people. Thank y’all so much for helping us.

My puppy had a reaction to something and it come up on her back & I was in complete panic the days they saw her. But this office took care of the whole situation and my puppy so well. They handled everything so professionally and so kindly.My pup literally wags her tail when we pull into the parking lot & that is extremely unlike her given previous circumstances. I cannot say enough good things about both Doctors here & the staff.

The staff here are absolutely amazing! They go above and beyond to help you with whatever you and your pet may need. Both doctors are friendly and do an exceptional job with our dogs. We are moving a little further away from Waleska, however, we will continue to make the drive for our pups' vet visits.

Maggie (our dog) needs injections for her allergies .. the techs and vets get in the floor with her to give her the injections .they know she freaks out when they put her in the table .Best vet and staff ever!!!!

Above and beyond compassionate care! My sweet girl seemingly developed arthritis overnight and these wonderful folks were able to get me in within days - faster than the vet I had seen for several years.They brought a big comforter in to ease her joints during our wait, helped me with affordable medications AND - after putting pup back in the car, the receptionist realized we could do her heart worm shot now instead of making another appointment - and gave her the shot in the vehicle, in consideration of her tender joints.Was running late to pick up pup’s refill another day and they went above and beyond again to ensure I could retrieve it after hours.They care and that makes all the difference. 10 stars, highly recommend!!

My 14 year old cats health began to decline rapidly. Waleska Animal Hospital got her in quickly and helped us come up with a good health plan to hopefully give us a little longer with our adorable senior cat "Molly". We recently just moved to the area and hadn’t found a vet yet. Our shepherd came down with a UTI, and luckily they were able to work her in super fast. I was also very nervous because our dog usually does not like strangers so I didn’t know how she would react with a whole new vet office. But Dr. Smith and the other staff were awesome and super accommodating. They made me and my dog feel comfortable and at ease. My pup handled the experience SO much better than I had expected, and I really think the staff had everything to do with it. I was very pleased with the care my dog received. The prices are very reasonable as well. I’m so glad we found a new vet!!!

They were great when I was there. They were supposed to call me and check on him in 2 days. I waited 4 days and called them and placed with them cause I thought my dog was gonna die if someone didn't do something. Vet was supposed to call me right back. Been over a week still haven't heard from them.

Staff was very nice and thorough. But my barn cat needed a very minor surgery after an injury to his eye, they consulted an optomologist and gave me an estimate of 650$-$750, after telling me on the phone the surgery would only take 5 minutes.I took him to another vet, surgery took less than 5 minutes and he was home with me in an hour. They charged me $150.Again, vets seem knowledgeable and staff is nice. They seem to be very "textbook" and low risk on animal care, which can sometimes be great but not what I was looking for.

Dr. Smith and Dr. Hiland have been caring for my babies for 15 years. They saved Juneau's life as a puppy and today he is a 15 year old Shepard. We recently had to make the painful decision to send our beautiful Jessie girl to heaven. It was the hardest thing we've ever done but I can tell you that no one cares more for your animals than they do! They are compassionate, loving, and they don't rush you. They listen from the heart and they care about you and your pets. They spend time with you in person and over the phone. I had many questions and the time Dr. Smith spent with me was so valuable. I have been to many veterinarians in my lifetime and no one has ever showed so much love and genuine care for my animals. Thank you Allatoona and Waleska Animal Hospital! Forever grateful!

I'm not an established patient, but they were quick to find an appointment for my kitty who wasn't feeling well. I could not be more pleased with the level of care she received. When she wasn't doing much better, they worked me in, yet again to accommodate my kitty and my schedule. They even kept in contact with phone calls to check in on her. I was super pleased with all of the staff, as well as the vets. I highly recommend them.
