When visiting Vidalia hospital we asked personnel for a recommendation for local eatery....they suggested Country Kafe. I'm so glad they did! I ordered the eggs Benedict and even though we had to wait a bit longer than usual, it was delicious! Came with home fries and toast. Eggs were poached to perfection and it was all very tasty. Friendly service, nice atmosphere. There's plenty of tantalizing menu items to try. I definitely will make Country Kafe my go to place for breakfast and lunch.

Great little Cafe for an impromptu lunch. Our waitress was PRECIOUS and so sweet. The onion rings did not disappoint! Filled up on those too much before the steaming hot patty melt was brought out to the table in a quick and timely fashion. Hands down best patty melt I've had in a while!! We will stop by again the next time we pass through town!

After searching for a great breakfast place, that we haven't visited, my father and I decided to check our Kountry cafe. The reviews showed the place to have a very happy customer base, and the pictures made it look welcoming. Upon entering, we immediately noticed the decor (which, me being from Texas, reminded me of there) and the fact that the place was full. This caught us off guard, because we visited on a Tuesday, so great start. While we're were there we were greeted by 2 employees, both helpful and friendly. They seemed to be understaffed, and overwhelmed, due to the amount of work each was performing, could have used another staff member. Aside from that, the food come out delicious. The omlett I had was not only very flavorful, large enough to be filling g, but also nice and warm right up until the last bite (very rare for eggs, in my experience). The seasoned potatoes were seasoned really well, also. I was aittle disappointed that having such a great breakfast, they only offered black coffee, I was hoping to have an espresso, but it was OK. The only food item that wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped, was the gravy. While it was nice and creamy and warm, there wasn't much flavor, to me. This was a pretty small shortcoming, to deal with since the rest of the breakfast was so good, and the service too. I'll be back and really enjoyed the meal, thank you.

Our table had the Crab Cake Benedict and the Chicken and Waffles. Both main courses we tasty and a good value. The flavors were on point. The side of grits was a little disappointing as was the service. The grits were not what I expected based on the menu. They were thin (watery) and had no flavor at all.Unfortunately, like most food service places today, the service was really nonexistent. We were advised that we could sit anywhere by a server that was behind the counter. We chose a table beside the counter. The server was doing nothing that we could see yet it took roughly 5 uncomfortable minutes to get menus. We placed our drink order which was promptly filled at which time we placed our food order. The food was delivered in the time that you would expect and that was the last interaction that we had with our server until the bill was brought to our table. No check-up. No "How is everything"? Nothing. We didn't let the lack of service interfere with us enjoying the meal it just would have been nice to see if we could have switched out the grits for something else and had a refill on our empty tea glasses.Hopefully the folks will read this and talk with their staff about the process of being a "server" and not just acting as a food runner.Enjoy this small business because we did and we'll go back again.

Limited menu options. Can get pricey depending on what you order. Could only get one photo to load but grilled ham & cheese with fries meal was one price but to get sweet potato tots instead was the full price of $5.50 for the tots so the meal with drink ended up about $20 by time I left a tip. The food tasted okay but didn't justify my price point. Wasn't what I expected. With the name I was expecting down home country so that threw me off once we got inside but there aren't many restaurants downtown so we decided to give it a try. Beautiful woodwork and decor.

This is a top-notch local cafe in Vidalia, GA. The pimento-cheese and fried green tomato sandwich (with bacon) was absolutely superb. Ditto for the crispy crinkle-cut fries. Service from Mattie was friendly and fast. We will definitely stop again next time we are in Vidalia.Parking: We parked right at the front door.

We were visiting Vidalia and were looking forward to having breakfast at this local establishment. There were 6 in our party (including my 93 year old mother). We were told that we would have to wait while our table was prepared and since there was limited room inside, we moved to a couple of outside benches. After 45 minutes I went into the cafe to ensure we had not been forgotten since at least 10 parties of 2 to 3 people had been seated after we had been told to wait. The waitress loudly said, “Baby, does it look like we have a table for a party of 6?”. Needless to say, we left. What happened to the southern hospitality that is usually present in Georgia (I am a Georgian)? In this place it is totally lacking. On a happy note, the other patrons we talked to were extremely pleasant and kind.

Found this place on Yelp and Came here to meet my cousin for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Was immediately greeted and seated when I walked through the door, and received a menu. This spot has a nice country feel to it. Pretty compact inside. Has a bar for extra seating. There was quite an amount of traffic coming and going which is a great signSince my cousin was running a lil late I went ahead and had got started on a cup of coffee.I saw some pics of their ham n cheese omelet online with a side of potatoes and decided to order a SW Omelet with ham, onions, bell peppers but without tomatoes. It took between 20-30 mins to get our food which we didn't order a lot but was surprised it took that long. The waitress was nice and kept us up to date on the food as she came over a few times to give me a refill on my coffee. When our food came out e writhing looked good. But the potatoes were lukewarm and seemed like I got the last scraped corner of the potatoes in the pan. They were burnt and didn't get to taste the flavor of the potatoes. The omelet was ok...it had a good amount of cheddar cheese and bell pepper. I should've stuck with my original plan of just a plain ham n cheddar omelet.Overall it was an avg experience for my first time here...Great prices…I wouldn't mind coming back again to try something different the next time I'm in town. I’d give 3.5 stars mainly due to the service and reasonable prices.

The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 was I ordered the link sausage. Was very disappointed in it. Was small, not much flavor. Ordered the patties that were much better, other then that hiccup everything else was great. Coffee was really good along with service

We happened to be going through Vidalia and stopped here. It's a hidden gem! The servers were friendly and helpful, and the cook is a champion. This was the best food we've had on this vacation, and probably the least expensive. I had a burger. My girls had tenders (best I've had in a while), and my wife had a Reuben.

Great food and service! Will definitely come back. They made our "special" grilled onion burger to perfection! And the chefs salad would feed a family and was delicious.

When my wife and I come to Vidalia, we love going to new family restaurants as opposed to big box restaurants. We’ve been told by multiple people the Kountry Kafe was a must try. Of course, it’s the week of the Onion Festival, so it’s busy. My wife meets an old friend my wife went to school with while waiting to be seated, come to find out her husband works for my wife’s uncle, which I did as well 20 plus years ago. Small Town, Small World feel at its best. Our server is a sweet southern brown haired girl who takes our order, I got the special, and my wife got the French toast meal. Well pancakes were brought out instead of French toast but after a short time the French toast was brought. Both were delicious! While eating, a young child shot the paper straw wrapper that landed on our table, which we found funny. The child’s dad apologized which we assured him was unnecessary. So, the Bill comes and I ask the waitress to add a cinnamon roll to go, and I proceeded to pull out a card to pay. When she returned to the table, she told us the bill was already paid. I don’t know if the bill was comp’d or if someone paid for our meal. But either way I was very surprised, thankful, and appreciative. I always like paying things forward since we’ve been very fortunate but never have been on this side before.Just a wonderful turn of events! Will be our go to place from now on!Leslie & Pete F
