Good, solid property. This hotel recently underwent a renovation and deserves to have their reviews bumped back up since this new version of the hotel does a fine job for its category and value. The rooms were clean and updated with modern amenities. The lobby is contemporary and serves as a great common space. The breakfast was plentiful and refreshed frequently. All of the staff were friendly and greeted hello to each guest. The only note I'd make to the manager is that many of up/down buttons on the machines in the gym don't work.

Would have given 5 stars, but there were a few issues. The ice machine on the first floor wasn't working, in the room the sliding glass door for the shower wouldn't stay shut, whoever installed it should have set the default position as closed instead of open. Phone in the room didn't workSeveral of the signs in the lobby were being held up with masking tape.

We stayed at this location while attending a funeral for our family member. The staff did a wonderful job of welcoming us and accommodating all of our needs to make the stay easier every moment. We felt right at home & comfortable while traveling with kids and as a large family group. Every day and night was pleasant and the rooms were comfortable. Everything was clean and stocked. This is definitely our spot when visiting Georgia because of the staff working hand and hand to impact their customers and provide quality service.

We use Hampton often. By far this was the worst one. We went for the Vidalia Onion festival, but the basic Hampton expectations were not met. Our toilet seat was broken. We reported it first thing in the morning. It was never fixed. We requested a late check out. We were denied. We were told it was too busy. The ice machine was inoperative. It was not a normal, Hampton Inn experience. We will stay at other Hampton Inns, but if we come back this way, not this one.

The hotel parking and entrance is very dark and unsafe. The front door was lock and a sign was placed on the door saying use side entrance which was locked. Person at the front stated she heard knocked at the door but wasn’t able to come until she was on the phone. Once I started the check in process I mentioned the price being higher than expected. The front desk personnel stand I should go to Comfort Inn and sleep with the roaches. Never again. Worst experience

The only reason I rate two stars is there were undergoing a major remodel and really should have closed until completed. We were told we would get a $15 discount but it didn't happen. All the fixtures had been removed including the room #'s from the doors. We literally had to go down the hall trying our key at every door. Not a good experience.

Reserved a specific room, on my call I received a call the room wasn't available. Upon my arrival, no care or compassion about not getting my specific room. Next morning, ask for maid service at 9 am, arrived back at 9pm and our towels were taken, not replaced, and sheets not changed. Upon leaving at 9am, we had plans to return that afternoon until finding that the pool literally looks like swamp water. Never were we told that pool was not working. When returning at 10 pm, the front desk rep, "Will" very politely came up and changed our sheets and brought us towels. We called customer service, they opened an investigation. We were told the GM would be in at 7am and he would handle it. Upon checkout at 10am, the gentleman at the desk stated he was the General Manager. He was the one that we requested 2 times for our room to be cleaned and he never followed through. When trying to tell him our complaints, he stuck his finger up and said we won't talk to him like this. I explained that not liking what you hear and being yelled at and disrespected was 2 different things. His job was to hear us out. We explained that we both were in management and he needed to handle this correctly but he was too busy trying to over talk us, and to tell us that none of this was his fault but corporates fault. This is disgusting and he is a lousy representation of what Management should be. For a Hilton hotel, this was absolutely horrible. My complaint no longer was about my stay but about how we were mistreated by the GM. We asked his name and he said, "I don't gotta give you my name." I am absolutely floored. He never even apologized or took responsibility that he was the one that dropped the ball for our room getting cleaned. I will never stay at this hotel again!! Do yourself a favor, dont waste your money, the Manager does not care about your stay.

The hotel was being renovated. Also, the parking lot was being repainted. Guests were not informed of the parking lot repaving. I was called at work to move my vehicle. Couldn’t leave work, they painted around my tires!!Noteworthy details: Renovations were incomplete.

Thought this place was fairly new, but starting to become run down. Elevators in disrepair. The Staff were excellent.Rooms: Okay. Thermostat is a little difficult to use. Coming from a nerd, that says a lot.Noteworthy details: Difficult to turn into from West. Making a U-turn. Same when need to leave to go east.

Hilton Diamond member and stayed here on Sept. 29th and 30th. Early on the first night upon entering the room, I gouged my leg in three locations due to the metal bed support frame sticking out about 4 inches. It was this way on both beds. I left a message for the manager to give me a call about the issue but did not receive a call back and had to call back for the manager again. I went down to the front desk and discussed the issue with him (Johnson) and showed him pictures of the injuries and the protruding bed frame. He said the most he would do was comp me for one night. I ended up having to call Hilton corporate and they got him to remove the charges for two nights, but he refused to remove the pet fee. Hilton agreed to send me a check for this amount. Hotel was under renovation/painting, TV did not work and desk had coffee spilled all over it and then on top of that, the injuries and poor customer service resolving makes this a place to avoid.Rooms: See original notesSafety: See original notesNoteworthy details: See original notes

The hotel parking and entrance is very dark and unsafe. The hotel has not been kept up and needs attention immediately. Safety is an issue, from the dark parking lot to the fact a family was given keys to my room and was entering as I sat in my room. The front desk didn’t answer for over five minutes when I was trying to call saying someone was coming in my room. Finally they told me it was a “small error”. It is not kept up well and is unsafe to stay there.

Onlline Check-in was ok, and digital key worked... I'm really disappointed with Hampton overall. I've been a life time diamond member for the last 5 yrs. Always stay at Hilton hotels. Seems since Covid the quality of the hotels has been going down. Fitness centers are not maintained. Went for a run on the treadmill at this location. 1/2 of the buttons did not work could not select manual, quick start coudnt reduce the speed....etc. There are no towels or way to disenfect the equipment. Hit and miss on house keeping. Seems like all of the locations are understaffed. Lobby coffee used to be decent now it's undrinkable. Very disappointing. Maybe time to look for another hotel chain.

My usual experiences with Hilton properties are pleasant, and I normally will revisit the same hotels when I travel back for work. This property isn’t even worthy of representing the Hilton name. I understand that it is under renovation but the issues go beyond “outdated” hotel. The room wasn’t clean. The bathtub had paint peeling off in the tub and the shower curtain rod was leaning down so bad for lack of all of the mounting screws I couldn’t keep the curtain closed on the ends. Towel hooks were barely attached to the walls. Also in the main room you could see water stains down the walls where it looked like the room above it had flooded. I was reading other reviews after checking in and saw claims of bedbugs so I immediately started checking sheets and under the mattress. Fortunately I didn’t find any unwelcome roommates so I guess the Hampton inn has that going for it. But not much else for the money. I cut my three night stay short due to the shape of my room and finished out my stay at the Holiday Inn a couple of miles down the road. 20 more a night and a much better experience. If you're looking for a pleasant hotel experience look a little further down the road past the Hampton Inn in Vidalia.

Wish I had of read these reviews before I booked! “Working in an industry that every so often has last minute cancelations due to unforseen circumstances I have never ever had a problem canceling early in the morning of my stay. This is acrossed multiple states and Hilton locations. This location in which my company brings business monthly insisted on charging me a late cancelation fee. First time in 5 years as a Hilton diamond member staying at Hilton hotels. It’s obvious that the owners and GM are focused on the quick buck and not long term customer loyalty. Hope my cancelation charge and $100 was worth thousands of dollars to your business because you just lost a companys business. I would not recommend staying at this location. Your money to them and not a customer”… tried to cancel my reservation 3 times in one day, just to switch to another Hampton inn 30 minutes closer, that previously had no openings! HILTON WOULD HAVE STILL BEEN RECEIVING MY MONEY! unless these hotels are individually owned, you should be able to switch yo another one within the same “Hilton” name! The hotel I found a reservation at even called this hotel to try and help me and was shut down quickly! Been a member for YEARS! And have never canceled ONE reservation! you would think that people understand that things happen! BUT, it’s all about that dollar! I will be deleting the Hilton app the second I get home! keep my $120! Based on your reviews, I would have been a furious customer due to the cleanliness anyways!Noteworthy details: Management on duty was extremely rude! There is a nice way to explain things or try and help. He was rude and said “just have Hilton call me”….

My family and i were highly disappointed in the Hilton brand’s representation last night. The mildew filled shower drain was left exposed, spiders crawling in the shower, the disgusting chipped paint on the shower floor, and not to mention I reserved a king suite with a sofa bed. We did not get that. We got a king suite with a jacuzzi instead, with cracked/chipped border. As if this was not bad enough. My child did not feel comfortable staying in this environment. It pained me to even have him in such an environment. We left the hotel immediately and came back home in the wee hours of the night while extremely tired. And for whatever reason I have two charges on my account for this stay! Never again!

The front desk guy was very friendly at check in! The newly renovated room was a mess. There was still construction dust on the headboard and on other flat surfaces. The sink drain had no stopper and had an old toothpaste cap in it! One of the shades had no chain to adjust it so had to stay half up all night. When we told the front desk lady, her response was “are you sure? We thoroughly cleaned that room.”

When we checked in our keys didn't work. After two tries we got key cards to let us in. BUT every time we left the room, our key cards had to be reset again. The lamps between the beds didn't and the lamp on the desk didn't work. The front desk told us that they were sending a maintenance person to fix the lamps. But the maintenance person never came. The bathtub had paint peeling on the inside like it had been spray painted. I will never stay at this hotel again! This is not what I expect when I choose a hotel in the Hilton chain.

RUN away from this location as fast as you can! The list of things wrong with this hotel is too long to mention, but I’ll hit the highlights and let my pictures do most of the talking. First of all, the moldy spatters on the walls and ceilings. The A/C was filthy on top and the filters were caked in dust. Room wasn’t vacuumed. Hair in the bed and all over bathroom floor. Water in shower didn’t get hot only lukewarm. Power to half the room was out, so no fridge, microwave or TV! Front door not working properly. Closet door wouldn’t shut. My sister had to enter her room from my room because her front door wouldn’t open.At about 5pm there was only one employee on site and she handed me a pack of Lysol wipes so I could at least get the room somewhat livable. Went down later because I had found more wrong with the room and two more guests were also there about their filthy rooms. I asked the front desk to call her manager. Was told room would be comped. Spoke with her in person the next morning and was reassured it would be comped. Told her we would not be staying the extra night. Was reassured again that we wouldn’t be charged. Received email the next day saying we were charged for both nights. To be continued tomorrow if the manager actually calls us back. I can’t believe this building is a Hilton Property! Hope Hilton will read these reviews. My husband and I have spent at least an hour a piece on hold with Hilton trying to resolve this.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn Vidalia while driving through. I have stayed at many Hampton Inns across the country and this was BY FAR the worst. The hotel is undergoing renovations, which I can only assume are being done under threat of losing the Hampton/Hilton brand. The night we stayed, there were only 2 other cars in the parking lot when we arrived at 9pm on a Sat. The pool was an off-putting grey-green color. The front desk clerk was very pleasant. He assigned us to room 115. The room had a damp feel to it, but we attributed this to it being August in Georgia. However, the other findings couldn't be overlooked. The wallpaper is peeling at the seams. The walls were dirty with black marks all over the place. There were two places where the wall shared with the shower had been patched... BADLY, presumably from water leaks. The bathroom door had toilet tissue stuck to the bottom of it. The toilet tank didn't sit properly and had mildew around it. The shower was an abomination. The calk had long-ago failed and had been haphazardly re-calked and was growing mildew. The grab bar was not calked around, and so mold was growing in the gaps between it and the tile. The shower curtain was dirty at the bottom. The door frame was filthy and the hinges were rusted. But the worst was the tub: it had been painted and the paint was peeling. The drains in both the sink and the tub were merely a suggestion, as they didn't do the one job they were designed to do. The room was only provided with 2 towels, washcloths and hand towels and NO bath mat. It's fairly customary to provide 4 of each in a double queen room. The positive was that the sheets were clean and it appeared as though the carpet had been recently replaced. That said, there were candy wrappers on the floor. One of the beds had a bar protruding from under the box springs that was in perfect position to crack one's shin on. In the morning, we awoke to find a new friend in the room-a spider dangling from the bedside table lampshade. Had we not been exhausted, we would have requested a room change. We were there to shower and sleep. Unfortunately, we felt compelled to wear our shoes in the shower due to its filthy, disrepaired condition. I tried to file a complaint with Hilton's website in the "business office" (aka-closet with a computer), but the internet was not working. In the morning, we checked out around 9am and there was only 1 other guest in the lobby. I spoke with Hilton and was directed to speak with the site manager. The site manager's response was to claim that they were at capacity that night. (I seriously doubt this). When I requested a refund, she told me that "since you recieved the military rate, which is already deeply discounted", the best she could do was to give me $20 off. So apparently this is the quality of room that the manager feels is befitting of our men and women who have served our country. I will be contacting Hilton corporate again. Do NOT stay here! Keep driving!!

I was in town with family for the funeral of my mother-in-law. I booked two rooms for my daughters and son-in-law. The rooms were not up to standard. They were in rooms 110 and 112. Room 110 had bed bugs and the shower floor was peeling. My daughter complained to management on duty and was moved to room 113. Room 113 shower floor was peeling and the A/C did not work. The overall cleanliness of the rooms was poor and unacceptable. Room 112 had a leaking A/C, dirty shower and dirty/clogged toilet. They checked out and went to the Home 2 Suites down the road. I want a full refund and my points back for the poor subpar quality of the rooms and the inconvenience not to mention the addition costs for booking more rooms. If I could rate this place any lower, I would. This was once a nice place to stay but now it is a dump.

I loved the cleanliness of the room. I usually lodge at Hampton Inn Suites when traveling. The cleanliness was somewhat compatible to the others.I did have two main areas of concern...both dealing with SAFETY. Upon arriving I quickly noticed that an exterior light by a front side door entrance was on the ground broken. Later I saw that the parking spaces outside my room where my vehicle was parked were completely dark. Shrubbery on the same side of the building were high and unkept. Blocked views from the room and cluttered access to one of the side door entrances.Of extreme concern to me was the lack of masks being worn when I went to the breakfast area the next morning. A hostess was in the midst of a group of guests having conversations when none of them were wearing masks. The hotel had signage posted that ALL GUESTS were required to wear masks inside the facility. During this occurrence, the group was not eating any food.

Overall this hotel is overpriced for it being a Hilton property and did not being up to their standards. I probably would not stay here again if I was in the area. Rooms definitely need to be updated as far as repainting and doing a little sprucing. I stayed in a deluxe room that had a Jacuzzi, wasn't very happy with the condition all the tile was broken up around it and cheap caulking have been trying to fix it. Did jacuzzi tub was installed backwards and there were no steps on the side for you to get in except for the steps for the tile. It definitely wasn't easy getting in and out. Now the shower in the bathroom really needed reconditioning the paint was flaking off everywhere and making it look dirty. It simply just not up to the standards of a Hilton property for over $100 a night.

Absolutely disgusting. Room smelled like urine, dirty rag was left hanging on shower, felt like I needed shower shoes to take a shower because of how unclean it looked, furniture was dusty, A/C would not work well enough to even create enough air flow to bare the smell. Would NOT recommend! There’s a Homes2Suites near this hotel, wish I would’ve booked there.

I’m giving 3 stars only because the front desk guy was super nice and understanding. We booked through a third party so the GM said we could not receive a refund. Our bedroom was a King and only king rooms have showers, no tubs!!And the queen rooms that have tubs are just as gross looking as the showers..we were told the 1st and 2nd floors haven’t been renovated yet and that’s funny because you can see the old red paint by the headboard, and putty on the walls from where the door must’ve smashed the drywall. And again blaming Covid for not telling potential bookers just how bad and what these rooms look like. And who wants a coffee pot in the bathroom where previous guests have done their business that’s just gross! This booking was an EPIC FAIL and be sure to thank the GM while your here for her superb job at running this place. SMH!!

While the lobby and sleep room had been remodeled and looked good, the room bathroom was terrible. Soap scum on the tub walls. Tub wouldn't drain, and it wasn't because of the drain itself. Tub had been poorly repaired. No decorative cover over the tub/shower know, just bare pipe was visible. Mildew growing around where the handicap rail attached to the shower wall. No stopper in the sink. No hair dryer.

Recently stayed here and didn't have the best experience. First sign of trouble was when I tried to check-in via my app and it wouldn't let me select a room, so I still had to stop by front desk upon arrival. The room we went to was in a state of disarray: door was ajar, beds not made, pillows piled by the window. Went back downstairs and sent to another room. This room was better, but one light bulb was out and the phone was busted and not connected to the wall. I walked back downstairs to request a light bulb. It never came and I finally just "borrowed" one from a hall light. To her credit, the person on duty did the best she could, but was getting no support from her offsite manager or maintenance staff.I had stayed at two different Hampton Inn's the 2 nights prior to this one. Overall, it was clear that maintenance is lacking at this location. Bathroom just wasn't as nice and trim and ceilings needed work. I might not have noticed those details if not for the good two prior nights.

I wanted so bad to give this hotel a poor rating but I can’t. The hotel is older and needs updating, which they are, but the friendly hotel staff at midnight and in the AM were great. Breakfast was well laid out and kept up. The rooms were clean and stocked…well done Hampton Vidalia.

I stayed on Tuesday night after I drove 23 hours as my mother was in hospice. I went to sleep immediately. Upon waking up to take shower I discovered the tub was peeling apart, there was mold in the bathroom on the walls. The caulk job was the worst I have ever seen. Someone had also written in the mirrors. Stains could be seen on the walls all through the room, including from the ceiling. I always stay at Hampton because of the outstanding quality of the room. I did try to talk to the manager but no phone call was returned and total silence on their part. I did call customer service corporate and was given some points on my Honors account. I went immediately over to Americ Inn ride beside them and stayed an additional week while my mother passed. Please consider another motel. It was horrible.
